Psalms 106
1 Hallelujah. O give thanks unto the LORD; for He is good; for His mercy endureth for ever.
¡Aleluya! Den gracias a Yavé, Porque Él es bueno, Porque para siempre es su misericordia.
2 Who can express the mighty acts of the LORD, or make all His praise to be heard?
¿Quién puede contar las proezas de Yavé? ¿Quién proclama toda su alabanza?
3 Happy are they that keep justice, that do righteousness at all times.
¡Dichosos los que guardan recto juicio, Los que practican justicia en todo tiempo!
4 Remember me, O LORD, when Thou favourest Thy people; O think of me at Thy salvation;
Acuérdate de mí, oh Yavé, Según tu buena voluntad para tu pueblo. Visítame con tu salvación,
5 That I may behold the prosperity of Thy chosen, that I may rejoice in the gladness of Thy nation, that I may glory with Thine inheritance.
Para que yo vea el bien de tus escogidos, Para que me regocije por la alegría de tu pueblo, Que me gloríe con tu heredad.
6 We have sinned with our fathers, we have done iniquitously, we have dealt wickedly.
Como nuestros antepasados pecamos. Cometimos iniquidad. Nos portamos perversamente.
7 Our fathers in Egypt gave no heed unto Thy wonders; they remembered not the multitude of Thy mercies; but were rebellious at the sea, even at the Red Sea.
Nuestros antepasados no entendieron tus maravillas en Egipto. No recordaron tus numerosas bondades, Sino se rebelaron junto al mar, en el mar Rojo.
8 Nevertheless He saved them for His name's sake, that He might make His mighty power to be known.
Pero Él los salvó por amor a su Nombre Para que fuera evidente su poder.
9 And He rebuked the Red Sea, and it was dried up; and He led them through the depths, as through a wilderness.
Reprendió al mar Rojo Y lo secó, Y los condujo por las profundidades, Como por un desierto.
10 And He saved them from the hand of him that hated them, and redeemed them from the hand of the enemy.
Así los salvó de [la] mano del que [los] odiaba, Y los redimió de la mano del enemigo.
11 And the waters covered their adversaries; there was not one of them left.
Cubrieron las aguas a sus adversarios, No quedó ni uno de ellos.
12 Then believed they His words; they sang His praise.
Entonces creyeron a sus Palabras, Y cantaron su alabanza.
13 They soon forgot His works; they waited not for His counsel;
Muy pronto olvidaron sus obras. No esperaron su consejo.
14 But lusted exceedingly in the wilderness, and tried God in the desert.
Con avidez desearon comer en el desierto, Y en lugar despoblado tentaron a ʼElohim.
15 And He gave them their request; but sent leanness into their soul.
Él les dio lo que pidieron, Pero envió mortandad sobre ellos.
16 They were jealous also of Moses in the camp, and of Aaron the holy one of the LORD.
Tuvieron envidia de Moisés en el campamento, Y de Aarón, el consagrado a Yavé.
17 The earth opened and swallowed up Dathan, and covered the company of Abiram.
Se abrió la tierra Y se tragó a Datán, Y cubrió al grupo de Abiram.
18 And a fire was kindled in their company; the flame burned up the wicked.
Un fuego se encendió contra su grupo. La llama devoró a los perversos.
19 They made a calf in Horeb, and worshipped a molten image.
Hicieron un becerro en Horeb. Se postraron ante una imagen de fundición.
20 Thus they exchanged their glory for the likeness of an ox that eateth grass.
Así cambiaron la Gloria de ellos Por la imagen de un becerro que come hierba.
21 They forgot God their saviour, who had done great things in Egypt;
Olvidaron al ʼEL, su Salvador, Quien hizo grandes cosas en Egipto,
22 Wondrous works in the land of Ham, terrible things by the Red Sea.
Maravillas en la tierra de Cam, Portentos en el mar Rojo.
23 Therefore He said that He would destroy them, had not Moses His chosen stood before Him in the breach, to turn back His wrath, lest He should destroy them.
Por tanto Él dijo que los destruiría. Si no fuera porque Moisés su escogido, Se puso en la brecha delante de Él Con la intención de que no los destruyera.
24 Moreover, they scorned the desirable land, they believed not His word;
Luego despreciaron [la] tierra deseable. No creyeron en la Palabra de Él,
25 And they murmured in their tents, they hearkened not unto the voice of the LORD.
Sino murmuraron en sus tiendas. No escucharon la voz de Yavé.
26 Therefore He swore concerning them, that He would overthrow them in the wilderness;
Por tanto les juró Que caerían en el desierto,
27 And that He would cast out their seed among the nations, and scatter them in the lands.
Que dispersaría su descendencia entre las naciones Y los esparciría por las tierras.
28 They joined themselves also unto Baal of Peor, and ate the sacrifices of the dead.
Se unieron también a Baal-peor Y comieron lo sacrificado a los muertos.
29 Thus they provoked Him with their doings, and the plague broke in upon them.
Así [lo] provocaron a ira con sus obras, Y una mortandad irrumpió entre ellos.
30 Then stood up Phinehas, and wrought judgment, and so the plague was stayed.
Pero Finees se levantó e intervino, Y la mortandad se detuvo,
31 And that was counted unto him for righteousness, unto all generations for ever.
Y le fue atribuido como justicia Por todas las generaciones para siempre.
32 They angered Him also at the waters of Meribah, and it went ill with Moses because of them;
También [lo] provocaron a ira en las aguas de Meriba, Y salió mal Moisés por causa de ellos,
33 For they embittered his spirit, and he spoke rashly with his lips.
Porque hicieron rebelar su espíritu, Y él habló precipitadamente con sus labios.
34 They did not destroy the peoples, as the LORD commanded them;
No destruyeron a los pueblos, Como Yavé les mandó,
35 But mingled themselves with the nations, and learned their works;
Sino se mezclaron con gentiles. Aprendieron sus prácticas,
36 And they served their idols, which became a snare unto them;
Y sirvieron a sus ídolos, Los cuales fueron una trampa.
37 Yea, they sacrificed their sons and their daughters unto demons,
Sacrificaron sus hijos y sus hijas a los demonios
38 And shed innocent blood, even the blood of their sons and of their daughters, whom they sacrificed unto the idols of Canaan; and the land was polluted with blood.
Y derramaron sangre inocente, La sangre de sus hijos y de sus hijas, A quienes sacrificaron a los ídolos de Canaán, Y la tierra fue contaminada con la sangre.
39 Thus were they defiled with their works, and went astray in their doings.
Así se contaminaron con las prácticas de ellos, Y se prostituyeron con sus hechos.
40 Therefore was the wrath of the LORD kindled against His people, and He abhorred His inheritance.
Por tanto la ira de Yavé se encendió contra su pueblo, Y Él repugnó su heredad.
41 And He gave them into the hand of the nations; and they that hated them ruled over them.
Los entregó en [la] mano de los gentiles, Y aquellos que los odiaban gobernaron sobre ellos.
42 Their enemies also oppressed them, and they were subdued under their hand.
Sus enemigos también los oprimieron, Y fueron sometidos bajo su poder.
43 Many times did He deliver them; but they were rebellious in their counsel, and sank low through their iniquity.
Muchas veces los libró, Pero ellos se rebelaron contra su consejo en su designio, Y así se hundieron en su iniquidad.
44 Nevertheless He looked upon their distress, when He heard their cry;
Sin embargo, Él miraba su angustia Y escuchaba su clamor.
45 And He remembered for them His covenant, and repented according to the multitude of His mercies.
Recordaba su Pacto por amor a ellos, Y se compadecía según la grandeza de su misericordia.
46 He made them also to be pitied of all those that carried them captive.
También promovió que fueran [objeto] de misericordia Por parte de todos los que los tenían cautivos.
47 Save us, O LORD our God, and gather us from among the nations, that we may give thanks unto Thy holy name, that we may triumph in Thy praise.
Oh Yavé, ʼElohim nuestro, sálvanos. Recógenos de entre las naciones, Para que demos gracias a tu santo Nombre Y nos gloriemos en tus alabanzas.
48 Blessed be the LORD, the God of Israel, from everlasting even to everlasting, and let all the people say: 'Amen.' Hallelujah.
¡Bendito sea Yavé, el ʼElohim de Israel, Desde la eternidad hasta la eternidad! Y todo el pueblo diga: ¡Amén! ¡Aleluya!
