Psalms 105
1 O give thanks unto the LORD, call upon His name; make known His doings among the peoples.
Louvae ao Senhor, e invocae o seu nome; fazei conhecidas as suas obras entre os povos.
2 Sing unto Him, sing praises unto Him; speak ye of all His marvellous works.
Cantae-lhe, cantae-lhe psalmos: fallae de todas as suas maravilhas.
3 Glory ye in His holy name; let the heart of them rejoice that seek the LORD.
Gloriae-vos no seu sancto nome: alegre-se o coração d'aquelles que buscam ao Senhor.
4 Seek ye the LORD and His strength; seek His face continually.
Buscae ao Senhor e a sua força: buscae a sua face continuamente.
5 Remember His marvellous works that He hath done, His wonders, and the judgments of His mouth;
Lembrae-vos das maravilhas que fez, dos seus prodigios e dos juizos da sua bocca;
6 O ye seed of Abraham His servant, ye children of Jacob, His chosen ones.
Vós, semente d'Abrahão, seu servo, vós, filhos de Jacob, seus escolhidos.
7 He is the LORD our God; His judgments are in all the earth.
Elle é o Senhor, nosso Deus; os seus juizos estão em toda a terra.
8 He hath remembered His covenant for ever, the word which He commanded to a thousand generations;
Lembrou-se do seu concerto para sempre, da palavra que mandou a milhares de gerações.
9 The covenant which He made with Abraham, and His oath unto Isaac;
O qual concerto fez com Abrahão, e o seu juramento a Isaac.
10 And He established it unto Jacob for a statute, to Israel for an everlasting covenant;
E confirmou o mesmo a Jacob por estatuto, e a Israel por concerto eterno,
11 Saying: 'Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance.'
Dizendo: A ti darei a terra de Canaan, a sorte da vossa herança.
12 When they were but a few men in number. Yea, very few, and sojourners in it,
Quando eram poucos homens em numero, sim, mui poucos e estrangeiros n'ella.
13 And when they went about from nation to nation, from one kingdom to another people,
Quando andavam de nação em nação e d'um reino para outro povo.
14 He suffered no man to do them wrong, yea, for their sake He reproved kings:
Não permittiu a ninguem que os opprimisse, e por amor d'elles reprehendeu a reis, dizendo:
15 'Touch not Mine anointed ones, and do My prophets no harm.'
Não toqueis os meus ungidos, e não maltrateis os meus prophetas.
16 And He called a famine upon the land; He broke the whole staff of bread.
Chamou a fome sobre a terra, quebrantou todo o sustento do pão.
17 He sent a man before them; Joseph was sold for a servant;
Mandou perante elles um varão, José, que foi vendido por escravo:
18 His feet they hurt with fetters, his person was laid in iron;
Cujos pés apertaram com grilhões: foi mettido em ferros:
19 Until the time that his word came to pass, the word of the LORD tested him.
Até ao tempo em que chegou a sua palavra; a palavra do Senhor o provou.
20 The king sent and loosed him; even the ruler of the peoples, and set him free.
Mandou o rei, e o fez soltar; o governador dos povos, e o soltou.
21 He made him lord of his house, and ruler of all his possessions;
Fel-o senhor da sua casa, e governador de toda a sua fazenda;
22 To bind his princes at his pleasure, and teach his elders wisdom.
Para sujeitar os seus principes a seu gosto, e instruir os seus anciãos.
23 Israel also came into Egypt; and Jacob sojourned in the land of Ham.
Então Israel entrou no Egypto, e Jacob peregrinou na terra de Cão.
24 And He increased His people greatly, and made them too mighty for their adversaries.
E augmentou o seu povo em grande maneira, e o fez mais poderoso do que os seus inimigos.
25 He turned their heart to hate His people, to deal craftily with His servants.
Virou o coração d'elles para que aborrecessem o seu povo, para que tratassem astutamente aos seus servos.
26 He sent Moses His servant, and Aaron whom He had chosen.
Enviou Moysés, seu servo, e Aarão, a quem escolhera.
27 They wrought among them His manifold signs, and wonders in the land of Ham.
Mostraram entre elles os seus signaes e prodigios, na terra de Cão.
28 He sent darkness, and it was dark; and they rebelled not against His word.
Mandou trevas, e a fez escurecer; e não foram rebeldes á sua palavra.
29 He turned their waters into blood, and slew their fish.
Converteu as suas aguas em sangue, e matou os seus peixes.
30 Their land swarmed with frogs, in the chambers of their kings.
A sua terra produziu rãs em abundancia, até nas camaras dos seus reis.
31 He spoke, and there came swarms of flies, and gnats in all their borders.
Fallou elle, e vieram enxames de moscas e piolhos em todo o seu termo.
32 He gave them hail for rain, and flaming fire in their land.
Converteu as suas chuvas em saraiva, e fogo abrazador na sua terra.
33 He smote their vines also and their fig-trees; and broke the trees of their borders.
Feriu as suas vinhas e os seus figueiraes, e quebrou as arvores dos seus termos.
34 He spoke, and the locust came, and the canker-worm without number,
Fallou elle, e vieram gafanhotos e pulgão sem numero.
35 And did eat up every herb in their land, and did eat up the fruit of their ground.
E comeram toda a herva da sua terra, e devoraram o fructo dos seus campos.
36 He smote also all the first-born in their land, the first-fruits of all their strength.
Feriu tambem a todos os primogenitos da sua terra, as primicias de todas as suas forças.
37 And He brought them forth with silver and gold; and there was none that stumbled among His tribes.
E tirou-os para fóra com prata e oiro, e entre as suas tribus não houve um só fraco.
38 Egypt was glad when they departed; for the fear of them had fallen upon them.
O Egypto se alegrou quando elles sairam, porque o seu temor caira sobre elles.
39 He spread a cloud for a screen; and fire to give light in the night.
Estendeu uma nuvem por coberta, e um fogo para alumiar de noite.
40 They asked, and He brought quails, and gave them in plenty the bread of heaven.
Oraram, e elle fez vir codornizes, e os fartou de pão do céu.
41 He opened the rock, and waters gushed out; they ran, a river in the dry places.
Abriu a penha, e d'ella correram aguas; correram pelos logares seccos como um rio.
42 For He remembered His holy word unto Abraham His servant;
Porque se lembrou da sua sancta palavra, e de Abrahão, seu servo.
43 And He brought forth His people with joy, His chosen ones with singing.
E tirou d'ali o seu povo com alegria, e os seus escolhidos com regozijo.
44 And He gave them the lands of the nations, and they took the labour of the peoples in possession;
E deu-lhes as terras das nações; e herdaram o trabalho dos povos;
45 That they might keep His statutes, and observe His laws. Hallelujah.
Para que guardassem os seus preceitos, e observassem as suas leis. Louvae ao Senhor.
