Psalms 10
1 Why standest Thou afar off, O LORD? Why hidest Thou Thyself in times of trouble?
૧હે યહોવાહ, તમે શા માટે દૂર ઊભા રહો છો? સંકટના સમયમાં તમે શા માટે સંતાઈ જાઓ છો?
2 Through the pride of the wicked the poor is hotly pursued, they are taken in the devices that they have imagined.
૨દુષ્ટો ગર્વિષ્ઠ થઈને ગરીબોને બહુ સતાવે છે; પણ તેઓ પોતાની કલ્પેલી યુક્તિઓમાં ફસાઈ જાય છે.
3 For the wicked boasteth of his heart's desire, and the covetous vaunteth himself, though he contemn the LORD.
૩કેમ કે દુષ્ટ લોકો પોતાના અંતઃકરણની ઇચ્છાની તૃપ્તિ થતાં અભિમાન કરે છે; લોભીઓ યહોવાહને ધિક્કારે છે અને તેમની નિંદા કરે છે.
4 The wicked, in the pride of his countenance, saith: 'He will not require'; all his thoughts are: 'There is no God.'
૪દુષ્ટ પોતાના અહંકારી ચહેરાથી બતાવે છે કે, ઈશ્વર બદલો લેશે નહિ. તેના સર્વ વિચાર એવા છે કે, ઈશ્વર છે જ નહિ.
5 His ways prosper at all times; Thy judgments are far above out of his sight; as for all his adversaries, he puffeth at them.
૫તે બધા સમયે સુરક્ષિત રહે છે, પણ તમારો ન્યાય એટલો બધો ઊંચો છે કે તે તેના સમજવામાં આવતો નથી; તે પોતાના સર્વ શત્રુઓનો તિરસ્કાર કરે છે.
6 He saith in his heart: 'I shall not be moved, I who to all generations shall not be in adversity.'
૬તે પોતાના હૃદયમાં કહે છે, “હું કદી નિષ્ફળ થઈશ નહિ; પેઢી દરપેઢી હું વિપત્તિમાં નહિ આવું.”
7 His mouth is full of cursing and deceit and oppression; under his tongue is mischief and iniquity.
૭તેનું મુખ શાપ, કપટ તથા જુલમથી ભરેલું છે; તેની જીભમાં ઉપદ્રવ તથા અન્યાય ભરેલા છે.
8 He sitteth in the lurking-places of the villages; in secret places doth he slay the innocent; his eyes are on the watch for the helpless.
૮તે ગામોની છૂપી જગ્યાઓમાં બેસે છે; તે સંતાઈને નિર્દોષનું ખૂન કરે છે; તેની આંખો નિરાધારને છાની રીતે તાકી રહે છે.
9 He lieth in wait in a secret place as a lion in his lair, he lieth in wait to catch the poor; he doth catch the poor, when he draweth him up in his net.
૯જેમ સિંહ ગુફામાં છુપાઈ રહે છે; તેમ તે ગુપ્ત જગ્યામાં ભરાઈ રહે છે. તે ગરીબોને પકડવાને છુપાઈ રહે છે, તે ગરીબને પકડીને પોતાની જાળમાં ખેંચી લઈ જાય છે.
10 He croucheth, he boweth down, and the helpless fall into his mighty claws.
૧૦તેઓના બળ આગળ ગરીબો દબાઈને નીચા નમી જાય છે; લાચાર બની તેઓના પંજામાં સપડાઈ જાય છે.
11 He hath said in his heart: 'God hath forgotten; He hideth His face; He will never see.'
૧૧તે પોતાના હૃદયમાં કહે છે, “ઈશ્વર ભૂલી ગયા છે; તેમણે પોતાનું મુખ જોયું નથી, સંતાડી રાખ્યું છે અને તે કદી જોશે નહિ.”
12 Arise, O LORD; O God, lift up Thy hand; forget not the humble.
૧૨હે યહોવાહ, ઊઠો; હે ઈશ્વર, તમારો હાથ ઊંચો કરો. ગરીબોને ભૂલી ન જાઓ.
13 Wherefore doth the wicked contemn God, and say in his heart: 'Thou wilt not require'?
૧૩દુષ્ટો શા માટે ઈશ્વરનો નકાર કરે છે? અને પોતાના હૃદયમાં કહે છે, “તમે બદલો નહિ માગો.”
14 Thou hast seen; for Thou beholdest trouble and vexation, to requite them with Thy hand; unto Thee the helpless committeth himself; Thou hast been the helper of the fatherless.
૧૪તમે જોયું છે; કેમ કે તમારા હાથમાં લેવાને માટે તમે ઉપદ્રવ કરનારા તથા ઈર્ષ્યાખોરોને નજરમાં રાખો છો. નિરાધાર પોતાને તમારા હવાલામાં સોંપે છે; તમે અનાથને બચાવો છો.
15 Break Thou the arm of the wicked; and as for the evil man, search out his wickedness, till none be found.
૧૫દુષ્ટ લોકોના હાથ તમે ભાંગી નાખો; તમે દુષ્ટ માણસની દુષ્ટતાને એટલે સુધી શોધી કાઢો કે કંઈ પણ બાકી રહે નહિ.
16 The LORD is King for ever and ever; the nations are perished out of His land.
૧૬યહોવાહ સદાસર્વકાળ રાજા છે; તેમના દેશમાંથી વિદેશીઓ નાશ પામ્યા છે.
17 LORD, Thou hast heard the desire of the humble: Thou wilt direct their heart, Thou wilt cause Thine ear to attend;
૧૭હે યહોવાહ, તમે નમ્રની અભિલાષા જાણો છો; તમે તેઓનાં હૃદયોને દૃઢ કરશો, તમે તેઓની પ્રાર્થના સાંભળશો;
18 To right the fatherless and the oppressed, that man who is of the earth may be terrible no more.
૧૮તમે અનાથ તથા દુઃખીઓનો ન્યાય કરો તેથી પૃથ્વીનાં માણસો હવે પછી ત્રાસદાયક રહે નહિ.
