Psalms 1

1 BOOK I HAPPY IS the man that hath not walked in the counsel of the wicked, nor stood in the way of sinners, nor sat in the seat of the scornful.

Feliz es el hombre que no sigue el consejo de los pecadores, ni va en el camino de los malvados, o se sienta con los que no le dan honor al Señor.

2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in His law doth he meditate day and night.

Pero se deleita en la ley del Señor, y cuya mente está en su ley de día y de noche.

3 And he shall be like a tree planted by streams of water, that bringeth forth its fruit in its season, and whose leaf doth not wither; and in whatsoever he doeth he shall prosper.

Será como un árbol plantado junto a arroyos de agua, que da su fruto a su tiempo, cuyas hojas siempre serán verdes; y todo lo que hace prosperará.

4 Not so the wicked; but they are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.

Los malvados no son así; pero son como el polvo del grano, que el viento se lleva.

5 Therefore the wicked shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.

Por esta causa no habrá misericordia para los pecadores cuando sean juzgados, y los malhechores no tendrán lugar entre los rectos,

6 For the LORD regardeth the way of the righteous; but the way of the wicked shall perish.

Porque el Señor pve el camino de los rectos, pero el camino del pecador es la destrucción.
