Psalms 1

1 BOOK I HAPPY IS the man that hath not walked in the counsel of the wicked, nor stood in the way of sinners, nor sat in the seat of the scornful.

Sambatra ny olona izay tsy mandeha eo amin’ ny fisainan’ ny ratsy fanahy, ary tsy mijanona eo amin’ ny lalana falehan’ ny mpanota, ary tsy mipetraka eo amin’ ny fipetrahan’ ny mpaniratsira;

2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in His law doth he meditate day and night.

Fa ny lalàn’ i Jehovah no sitrany; eny ny lalàny no saintsaininy andro aman’ alina.

3 And he shall be like a tree planted by streams of water, that bringeth forth its fruit in its season, and whose leaf doth not wither; and in whatsoever he doeth he shall prosper.

Dia tahaka ny hazo ambolena eo amoron’ ny rano velona izy, izay mamoa amin’ ny fotoany, ny raviny koa tsy mba malazo; ary ny asany rehetra dia ataony lavorary avokoa.

4 Not so the wicked; but they are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.

Fa tsy mba toy izany ny ratsy fanahy fa toy ny akofa aelin’ ny rivotra izy.

5 Therefore the wicked shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.

Ary noho izany ny ratsy fanahy dia tsy hahajanona eo amin’ ny fitsarana, na ny mpanota eo amin’ ny fiangonan’ ny marina.

6 For the LORD regardeth the way of the righteous; but the way of the wicked shall perish.

Fa fantatr’ i Jehovah ny lalan’ ny marina, fa ny lalan’ ny ratsy fanahy kosa dia mankany amin’ ny fahaverezana.
