Proverbs 5
1 My son, attend unto my wisdom; incline thine ear to my understanding;
೧ಕಂದಾ, ನನ್ನ ಜ್ಞಾನೋಪದೇಶವನ್ನು ಆಲಿಸು, ವಿವೇಕದಿಂದ ಕೂಡಿದ ನನ್ನ ಬೋಧನೆಗೆ ಕಿವಿಗೊಡು.
2 That thou mayest preserve discretion, and that thy lips may keep knowledge.
೨ಹೀಗಾದರೆ ನೀನು ವಿವೇಚನೆಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವಿ, ನಿನ್ನ ತುಟಿಗಳು ತಿಳಿವಳಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಕಾಪಾಡುವವು.
3 For the lips of a strange woman drop honey, and her mouth is smoother than oil;
೩ವೇಶ್ಯಸ್ತ್ರೀಯ ತುಟಿಗಳಲ್ಲಾದರೋ ಜೇನುಗರೆಯುವುದು, ಅವಳ ಮಾತು ಎಣ್ಣೆಗಿಂತಲೂ ನಯವಾಗಿದೆ.
4 But her end is bitter as wormwood, sharp as a two-edged sword.
೪ಅವಳು ಕಡೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಷದಂತೆ ಕಹಿಯೂ, ಇಬ್ಬಾಯಿಕತ್ತಿಯಂತೆ ತೀಕ್ಷ್ಣವೂ ಆಗುವಳು.
೫ಅವಳು ಮರಣದ ಕಡೆಗೆ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಾ ಇಳಿದು ಹೋಗುವಳು, ಅವಳ ಹೆಜ್ಜೆಗಳು ಪಾತಾಳದ ದಾರಿಯನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿಯುವವು. (Sheol h7585)
6 Lest she should walk the even path of life, her ways wander, but she knoweth it not.
೬ಅವಳ ನಡತೆಯು ಚಂಚಲವಾಗಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ಅವಳು ಜೀವದ ಮಾರ್ಗವನ್ನು ವಿವೇಚಿಸಲಾರಳು, ಅದು ಅವಳಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿದೇ ಇಲ್ಲ.
7 Now therefore, O ye children, hearken unto me, and depart not from the words of my mouth.
೭ಹೀಗಿರಲು ಮಗನೇ, ನನ್ನ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಕಿವಿಗೊಡು, ನನ್ನ ಮಾತುಗಳಿಂದ ದೂರವಾಗಿರಬೇಡ.
8 Remove thy way far from her, and come not nigh the door of her house;
೮ನಿನ್ನ ಮಾರ್ಗವು ಅವಳಿಗೆ ದೂರವಾಗಿರಲಿ ಅವಳ ಮನೆಬಾಗಿಲ ಹತ್ತಿರ ಹೋದೆಯಾ, ಎಚ್ಚರಿಕೆ!
9 Lest thou give thy vigour unto others, and thy years unto the cruel;
೯ಎಚ್ಚರವಹಿಸಿಕೋ, ನಿನ್ನ ಪುರುಷತ್ವವು ಪರಾಧೀನವಾಗುವುದು, ನಿನ್ನ ಆಯುಷ್ಯವು ಕ್ರೂರರ ವಶವಾಗುವುದು.
10 Lest strangers be filled with thy strength, and thy labours be in the house of an alien;
೧೦ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂಪತ್ತನ್ನು ಪರರು ತುಂಬಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವರು, ನೀನು ಅನ್ಯನ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ದುಡಿಯುವಿ.
11 And thou moan, when thine end cometh, when thy flesh and thy body are consumed,
೧೧ಕಟ್ಟಕಡೆಗೆ ನಿನ್ನ ದೇಹವೆಲ್ಲಾ ಕ್ಷೀಣವಾಗಿ ನೀನು ಅಂಗಲಾಚಿಕೊಂಡು,
12 And say: 'How have I hated instruction, and my heart despised reproof;
೧೨“ಅಯ್ಯೋ, ನಾನು ಸದುಪದೇಶವನ್ನು ಎಷ್ಟು ದ್ವೇಷಿಸಿದೆ, ನನ್ನ ಹೃದಯವು ಬುದ್ಧಿವಾದವನ್ನು ಎಷ್ಟು ತಾತ್ಸಾರ ಮಾಡಿತು,
13 Neither have I hearkened to the voice of my teachers, nor inclined mine ear to them that instructed me!
೧೩ನನ್ನ ಬೋಧಕರ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಕೇಳದೆ ಹೋದೆನಲ್ಲಾ, ನನ್ನ ಉಪದೇಶಕರ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಕಿವಿಗೊಡಲಿಲ್ಲವಲ್ಲಾ!
14 I was well nigh in all evil in the midst of the congregation and assembly.'
೧೪ನಾನು ದೇವಜನರ ಸಭೆಯ ನಡುವೆ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಕೇಡಿಗೂ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಆದೆನು” ಎಂದು ಅಂದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವಿ.
15 Drink waters out of thine own cistern, and running waters out of thine own well.
೧೫ಸ್ವಂತ ಕೊಳದ ನೀರನ್ನು, ಸ್ವಂತ ಬಾವಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಉಕ್ಕುವ ಜಲವನ್ನು ಮಾತ್ರ ಕುಡಿ.
16 Let thy springs be dispersed abroad, and courses of water in the streets.
೧೬ನಿನ್ನ ಒರತೆಗಳು ಬಯಲಿನಲ್ಲಿಯೂ, ನಿನ್ನ ಕಾಲುವೆಗಳು ಬೀದಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಹರಡಿ ಹರಿಯುವುದು ಹಿತವೇ?
17 Let them be only thine own, and not strangers' with thee.
೧೭ಅವು ನಿನಗೊಬ್ಬನಿಗೇ ಹರಿಯಲಿ, ಪರರು ನಿನ್ನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸೇರಿ ಕುಡಿಯಬಾರದು.
18 Let thy fountain be blessed; and have joy of the wife of thy youth.
೧೮ನಿನ್ನ ಬುಗ್ಗೆಯು ದೇವರ ಆಶೀರ್ವಾದವನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಲಿ, ನಿನ್ನ ಯೌವನಕಾಲದ ಪತ್ನಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಆನಂದಿಸು.
19 A lovely hind and a graceful doe, let her breasts satisfy thee at all times; with her love be thou ravished always.
೧೯ಆಕೆ ಮನೋಹರವಾದ ಜಿಂಕೆಯಂತೆಯೂ, ಅಂದವಾದ ದುಪ್ಪಿಯ ಹಾಗೂ ಇರುವಳಲ್ಲಾ, ಆಕೆಯ ಸ್ತನಗಳು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಸರ್ವದಾ ತೃಪ್ತಿಪಡಿಸಲಿ, ಆಕೆಯ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲೇ ನಿರಂತರವಾಗಿ ಲೀನವಾಗಿರು.
20 Why then wilt thou, my son, be ravished with a strange woman, and embrace the bosom of an alien?
೨೦ಮಗನೇ, ಏಕೆ ಪರಸ್ತ್ರೀಯಲ್ಲಿ ಭ್ರಮೆಗೊಳ್ಳುವಿ, ಅನ್ಯಳ ಎದೆಯನ್ನು ತಬ್ಬಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದೇಕೆ?
21 For the ways of man are before the eyes of the LORD, and He maketh even all his paths.
೨೧ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ಮಾರ್ಗಗಳು ಯೆಹೋವನಿಗೆ ಕಾಣುತ್ತಲೇ ಇವೆ, ಆತನು ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ನಡತೆಯನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಪರೀಕ್ಷಿಸುವವನಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
22 His own iniquities shall ensnare the wicked, and he shall be holden with the cords of his sin.
೨೨ದುಷ್ಟನ ದುಷ್ಕೃತ್ಯಗಳೇ ಅವನನ್ನು ಆಕ್ರಮಿಸುವವು, ಅವನ ಪಾಪಪಾಶಗಳೇ ಅವನನ್ನು ಬಂಧಿಸುವವು.
23 He shall die for lack of instruction; and in the greatness of his folly he shall reel.
೨೩ಸದುಪದೇಶದ ಕೊರತೆಯಿಂದಲೇ ನಾಶವಾಗುವನು, ತನ್ನ ಅತಿಮೂರ್ಖತನದಿಂದ ಭ್ರಾಂತನಾಗುವನು.
