< Proverbs 18 >
1 He that separateth himself seeketh his own desire, and snarlest against all sound wisdom.
Mutumin da ba ya abokantaka yakan nema ya cika burinsa ne kaɗai; yakan ƙi yarda da kowace maganar da take daidai.
2 A fool hath no delight in understanding, but only that his heart may lay itself bare.
Wawa ba ya sha’awa ya sami fahimta amma abin da yake so ya yi kaɗai, shi ne ya ba da ra’ayinsa.
3 When the wicked cometh, there cometh also contempt, and with ignominy reproach.
Sa’ad da mugunci ya zo, reni ma kan zo, haka kuma sa’ad da kunya ta zo, shan kunya kan biyo.
4 The words of a man's mouth are as deep waters; a flowing brook, a fountain of wisdom.
Kalmomin bakin mutum suna da zurfi kamar ruwaye, amma maɓulɓulan hikima rafi ne mai gudu.
5 It is not good to respect the person of the wicked, so as to turn aside the righteous in judgment.
Ba shi da kyau ka yi wa mugu alheri ko ka hana wa marar laifi adalci.
6 A fool's lips enter into contention, and his mouth calleth for strokes.
Leɓunan wawa kan jawo masa faɗa, bakinsa kuma kan gayyaci dūka.
7 A fool's mouth is his ruin, and his lips are the snare of his soul.
Bakin wawa lalatar da kansa yake yi leɓunansa kuma tarko ne ga ransa.
8 The words of a whisperer are as dainty morsels, and they go down into the innermost parts of the belly.
Kalmomin mai gulma kamar abinci mai daɗi suke; sukan gangara zuwa can cikin gaɓoɓin mutum.
9 Even one that is slack in his work is brother to him that is a destroyer.
Wanda yake ragwanci a aikinsa ɗan’uwa ne ga wanda yakan lalatar da abubuwa.
10 The name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is set up on high.
Sunan Ubangiji hasumiya ce mai ƙarfi; masu adalci kan gudu zuwa wurinta don su zauna lafiya.
11 The rich man's wealth is his strong city, and as a high wall in his own conceit.
Dukiyar masu arziki ita ce birninsu mai katanga; suna gani cewa ba za a iya huda katangar ba.
12 Before destruction the heart of a man is haughty, and before honour goeth humility.
Kafin fāɗuwarsa zuciyar mutum takan yi girman kai, amma sauƙinkai kan zo kafin girmamawa.
13 He that giveth answer before he heareth, it is folly and confusion unto him.
Duk wanda yakan ba da amsa kafin ya saurara, wannan wauta ce da kuma abin kunya.
14 The spirit of a man will sustain his infirmity; but a broken spirit who can bear?
Sa rai da mutum ke yi kan taimake shi sa’ad da yake ciwo, amma in ya karai, to, tasa ta ƙare.
15 The heart of the prudent getteth knowledge; and the ear of the wise seeketh knowledge.
Zuciya mai la’akari kan nemi sani; kunnuwan mai hikima kan bincika don yă koya.
16 A man's gift maketh room for him, and bringeth him before great men.
Kyauta kan buɗe hanya wa mai bayarwa yakan kuma kai shi a gaban babban mutum.
17 He that pleadeth his cause first seemeth just; but his neighbour cometh and searcheth him out.
Wanda ya fara mai da jawabi yakan zama kamar shi ne mai gaskiya, sai wani ya fito ya yi masa tambaya tukuna.
18 The lot causeth strife to cease, and parteth asunder the contentious.
Jefa ƙuri’a kan daidaita tsakanin masu faɗa ta kuma ajiye masu faɗan a rabe.
19 A brother offended is harder to be won than a strong city; and their contentions are like the bars of a castle.
Ɗan’uwan da aka yi wa laifi ya fi birni mai katanga wuyan shiryawa, kuma faɗace-faɗace suna kama da ƙofofin ƙarfe na fada.
20 A man's belly shall be filled with the fruit of his mouth; with the increase of his lips shall he be satisfied.
Daga abin da baki ya furta ne cikin mutum kan cika; girbi daga leɓunansa kuma yakan ƙoshi.
21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue; and they that indulge it shall eat the fruit thereof.
Harshe yana da ikon rai da mutuwa, kuma waɗanda suke ƙaunarsa za su ci amfaninsa.
22 Whoso findeth a wife findeth a great good, and obtaineth favour of the LORD.
Duk wanda ya sami mace ya sami abu mai kyau ya kuma sami tagomashi daga Ubangiji.
23 The poor useth entreaties; but the rich answereth impudently.
Matalauci kan yi roƙo da taushi, amma mawadaci kan amsa da kakkausar murya.
24 There are friends that one hath to his own hurt; but there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.
Mutum mai abokai masu yawa kan lalace, amma akwai abokin da yakan manne kurkusa fiye da ɗan’uwa.
