Proverbs 15
1 A soft answer turneth away wrath; but a grievous word stirreth up anger.
സൗമ്യമായ ഉത്തരം ക്രോധത്തെ ശമിപ്പിക്കുന്നു, പരുക്കൻവാക്ക് കോപം ജ്വലിപ്പിക്കുന്നു.
2 The tongue of the wise useth knowledge aright; but the mouth of fools poureth out foolishness.
ജ്ഞാനിയുടെ നാവു പരിജ്ഞാനം വിതറുന്നു, എന്നാൽ ഭോഷരുടെ നാവു മടയത്തരം വർഷിക്കുന്നു.
3 The eyes of the LORD are in every place, keeping watch upon the evil and the good.
യഹോവയുടെ ദൃഷ്ടി എല്ലായിടത്തുമുണ്ട്, ദുഷ്ടരെയും നല്ലവരെയും വീക്ഷിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.
4 A soothing tongue is a tree of life; but perverseness therein is a wound to the spirit.
സാന്ത്വനമരുളുന്ന നാവു ജീവവൃക്ഷം, എന്നാൽ വഞ്ചനയുള്ള നാവ് ആത്മചൈതന്യം തകർക്കുന്നു.
5 A fool despiseth his father's correction; but he that regardeth reproof is prudent.
ഭോഷർ പിതാവിന്റെ ശിക്ഷണം നിരാകരിക്കുന്നു, എന്നാൽ ശാസന അംഗീകരിക്കുന്നവർ വിവേകശാലികൾ.
6 In the house of the righteous is much treasure; but in the revenues of the wicked is trouble.
നീതിനിഷ്ഠരുടെ ഭവനത്തിൽ വലിയ നിക്ഷേപങ്ങളുണ്ട്, എന്നാൽ ദുഷ്ടരുടെ ആദായം ആപത്തു കൊണ്ടുവരുന്നു.
7 The lips of the wise disperse knowledge; but the heart of the foolish is not stedfast.
ജ്ഞാനിയുടെ അധരങ്ങൾ പരിജ്ഞാനം വിതറുന്നു, എന്നാൽ ഭോഷരുടെ ഹൃദയത്തിന് നൽകാനൊന്നുമില്ല.
8 The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the LORD; but the prayer of the upright is His delight.
ദുഷ്ടരുടെ യാഗം യഹോവ വെറുക്കുന്നു, എന്നാൽ നീതിനിഷ്ഠരുടെ പ്രാർഥന അവിടത്തേക്കു പ്രസാദകരം.
9 The way of the wicked is an abomination to the LORD; but He loveth him that followeth after righteousness.
ദുഷ്ടരുടെ മാർഗം യഹോവ വെറുക്കുന്നു, എന്നാൽ നീതി പിൻതുടരുന്നവരെ അവിടന്ന് സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നു.
10 There is grievous correction for him that forsaketh the way; and he that hateth reproof shall die.
നേർപാത ഉപേക്ഷിക്കുന്നവർക്കു കഠിനശിക്ഷണം ലഭിക്കും; ശാസന വെറുക്കുന്നവർ മരണത്തെ പുൽകും.
11 The nether-world and Destruction are before the LORD; how much more then the hearts of the children of men! (Sheol h7585)
മരണവും പാതാളവും യഹോവയുടെമുമ്പാകെ തുറന്നുകിടക്കുന്നു; മനുഷ്യഹൃദയം എത്രയധികമായി അവിടന്ന് അറിയുന്നു! (Sheol h7585)
12 A scorner loveth not to be reproved; he will not go unto the wise.
പരിഹാസി ശാസന വെറുക്കുന്നു, അവർ ജ്ഞാനിയിൽനിന്ന് അകലം പാലിക്കുന്നു.
13 A merry heart maketh a cheerful countenance; but by sorrow of heart the spirit is broken.
സന്തുഷ്ടഹൃദയം മുഖത്ത് പ്രസന്നതയുളവാക്കുന്നു, ഹൃദയവ്യഥയോ, ആത്മചൈതന്യം ഹനിക്കുന്നു.
14 The heart of him that hath discernment seeketh knowledge; but the mouth of fools feedeth on folly.
വിവേകമുള്ള ഹൃദയം പരിജ്ഞാനം അന്വേഷിക്കുന്നു, എന്നാൽ ഭോഷരുടെ ആഹാരം മടയത്തരംതന്നെ.
15 All the days of the poor are evil; but he that is of a merry heart hath a continual feast.
പീഡിതന്റെ നാളുകളോരോന്നും ക്ലേശഭരിതം, എന്നാൽ ഉല്ലാസഹൃദയം നിരന്തരം ഉത്സവം ആഘോഷിക്കുന്നു.
16 Better is little with the fear of the LORD, than great treasure and turmoil therewith.
യഹോവാഭക്തിയോടുകൂടെയുള്ള അൽപ്പധനമാണ്, കഷ്ടതയോടുകൂടെയുള്ള ബഹുനിക്ഷേപത്തെക്കാൾ നല്ലത്.
17 Better is a dinner of herbs where love is, than a stalled ox and hatred therewith.
സ്നേഹപൂർവം വിളമ്പുന്ന സസ്യാഹാരമാണ്, വിദ്വേഷത്തോടെ വിളമ്പുന്ന തടിച്ചുകൊഴുത്ത പശുക്കിടാവിന്റെ മാംസത്തെക്കാൾ ഭേദം.
18 A wrathful man stirreth up discord; but he that is slow to anger appeaseth strife.
ക്ഷിപ്രകോപിയായ മനുഷ്യൻ കലഹത്തിനു തുടക്കംകുറിക്കുന്നു, എന്നാൽ ക്ഷമാശീലൻ കലഹത്തെ ശമിപ്പിക്കുന്നു.
19 The way of the sluggard is as though hedged by thorns; but the path of the upright is even.
അലസരുടെ വഴി മുള്ളുകളാൽ തടസ്സപ്പെടുന്നു, എന്നാൽ നീതിനിഷ്ഠരുടെ മാർഗം രാജവീഥിയാണ്.
20 A wise son maketh a glad father; but a foolish man despiseth his mother.
ജ്ഞാനിയായ മകൻ തന്റെ പിതാവിന് ആനന്ദം പകരുന്നു, എന്നാൽ ഭോഷരായ മനുഷ്യർ തങ്ങളുടെ മാതാവിനെ നിന്ദിക്കുന്നു.
21 Folly is joy to him that lacketh understanding; but a man of discernment walketh straightforwards.
വിവേകശൂന്യർക്കു മടയത്തരം ആനന്ദംനൽകുന്നു, എന്നാൽ വിവേകികൾ നേർവീഥിയിൽത്തന്നെ സഞ്ചരിക്കുന്നു.
22 For want of counsel purposes are frustrated; but in the multitude of counsellors they are established.
ബുദ്ധിയുപദേശത്തിന്റെ അഭാവംമൂലം പദ്ധതികൾ പരാജയപ്പെടുന്നു, എന്നാൽ നിരവധി വിദഗ്ധോപദേശം ലഭിച്ചാൽ അവ വിജയിക്കും.
23 A man hath joy in the answer of his mouth; and a word in due season, how good is it!
ഉചിതമായ ഉത്തരം ഏവർക്കും ആനന്ദംനൽകുന്നു; സന്ദർഭോചിതമായ ഒരു വാക്ക് എത്ര മനോഹരം!
24 The path of life goeth upward for the wise, that he may depart from the nether-world beneath. (Sheol h7585)
വിവേകിയുടെ ജീവിതപാത ഉയരങ്ങളിലേക്കു നയിക്കുന്നു അത് അവരെ പാതാളത്തിന്റെ ആഴങ്ങളിലേക്ക് ആണ്ടുപോകുന്നതു തടയും. (Sheol h7585)
25 The LORD will pluck up the house of the proud; but He will establish the border of the widow.
അഹങ്കാരിയുടെ ഭവനം യഹോവ നശിപ്പിക്കും, എന്നാൽ അവിടന്ന് വിധവയുടെ അതിർത്തി സംരക്ഷിക്കും.
26 The thoughts of wickedness are an abomination to the LORD; but words of pleasantness are pure.
ദുഷ്ടരുടെ ചിന്തകൾ യഹോവ വെറുക്കുന്നു, കനിവോലും വാക്കുകളോ, അവിടത്തേക്കു പ്രസാദം.
27 He that is greedy of gain troubleth his own house; but he that hateth gifts shall live.
അത്യാഗ്രഹം സ്വഭവനത്തെ നശിപ്പിക്കുന്നു, എന്നാൽ കൈക്കൂലി വെറുക്കുന്നവർ ഏറെനാൾ ജീവിക്കും.
28 The heart of the righteous studieth to answer; but the mouth of the wicked poureth out evil things.
ഉത്തരം നൽകേണ്ടതെങ്ങനെയെന്ന് നീതിനിഷ്ഠരുടെ ഹൃദയം ആലോചിക്കുന്നു, എന്നാൽ ദുഷ്ടരുടെ വായിൽനിന്ന് തിന്മനിറഞ്ഞ വാക്കുകൾ വമിക്കുന്നു.
29 The LORD is far from the wicked; but He heareth the prayer of the righteous.
യഹോവ ദുഷ്ടരിൽനിന്ന് അകന്നിരിക്കുന്നു, എന്നാൽ നീതിനിഷ്ഠരുടെ പ്രാർഥന അവിടന്നു കേൾക്കുന്നു.
30 The light of the eyes rejoiceth the heart; and a good report maketh the bones fat.
പ്രസന്നതയോടെയുള്ള ഒരു നോട്ടം ഹൃദയത്തിന് ആനന്ദം പകരുകയും സദ്വാർത്ത അസ്ഥികൾക്ക് ഉന്മേഷം പകരുകയുംചെയ്യുന്നു.
31 The ear that hearkeneth to the reproof of life abideth among the wise.
ജീവദായകമായ ശാസന കേൾക്കുന്നവർ ജ്ഞാനികളുടെ മധ്യത്തിൽ സ്വസ്ഥനായിരിക്കുന്നു.
32 He that refuseth correction despiseth his own soul; but he that hearkeneth to reproof getteth understanding.
ശിക്ഷണം നിരാകരിക്കുന്നവർ സ്വയനിന്ദയ്ക്ക് ഇരയാകുന്നു, എന്നാൽ ശാസന ശ്രദ്ധിക്കുന്നവർ വിവേകപൂർണനാണ്.
33 The fear of the LORD is the instruction of wisdom; and before honour goeth humility.
യഹോവാഭക്തി ജ്ഞാനം അഭ്യസിപ്പിക്കുന്നു, വിനയം ബഹുമതിയുടെ മുന്നോടിയാണ്.
