Numbers 19
1 And the LORD spoke unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying:
Yahvé habló a Moisés y a Aarón, diciendo:
2 This is the statute of the law which the LORD hath commanded, saying: Speak unto the children of Israel, that they bring thee a red heifer, faultless, wherein is no blemish, and upon which never came yoke.
“He aquí una disposición preceptiva que Yahvé ha dado, diciendo: Di a los hijos de Israel que te traigan una vaca roja que no tenga defecto ni tacha, y que todavía no haya llevado el yugo,
3 And ye shall give her unto Eleazar the priest, and she shall be brought forth without the camp, and she shall be slain before his face.
Se la daréis al sacerdote Eleazar, el cual la sacará fuera del campamento y será degollada ante sus ojos.
4 And Eleazar the priest shall take of her blood with his finger, and sprinkle of her blood toward the front of the tent of meeting seven times.
El sacerdote Eleazar tomará de la sangre de ella con el dedo, y hará con la sangre siete aspersiones hacia el frente del Tabernáculo de la Reunión.
5 And the heifer shall be burnt in his sight; her skin, and her flesh, and her blood, with her dung, shall be burnt.
Luego será quemada la vaca ante sus ojos; se quemarán también su piel, su carne y su sangre juntamente con sus excrementos.
6 And the priest shall take cedar-wood, and hyssop, and scarlet, and cast it into the midst of the burning of the heifer.
Y el sacerdote tomará madera de cedro e hisopo y grana, y los echará en medio de las llamas que consumen la vaca.
7 Then the priest shall wash his clothes, and he shall bathe his flesh in water, and afterward he may come into the camp, and the priest shall be unclean until the even.
Después el sacerdote lavará sus vestidos, bañará su cuerpo en el agua, y volverá al campamento, pero quedará impuro hasta la tarde.
8 And he that burneth her shall wash his clothes in water, and bathe his flesh in water, and shall be unclean until the even.
También el que la quemó, lavará sus vestidos en agua, bañará su cuerpo en agua y quedará impuro hasta la tarde.
9 And a man that is clean shall gather up the ashes of the heifer, and lay them up without the camp in a clean place, and it shall be kept for the congregation of the children of Israel for a water of sprinkling; it is a purification from sin.
Un hombre limpio recogerá las cenizas de la vaca y las depositará fuera del campamento en un lugar limpio, donde serán guardadas para el pueblo de los hijos de Israel a fin de (preparar) el agua expiatoria. Es un sacrificio por el pecado.
10 And he that gathereth the ashes of the heifer shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the even; and it shall be unto the children of Israel, and unto the stranger that sojourneth among them, for a statute for ever.
El que recoge las cenizas de la vaca lavará sus vestidos, y quedará impuro hasta la tarde. Será esta una ley perpetua para los hijos de Israel y para el extranjero que habita en medio de ellos.”
11 He that toucheth the dead, even any man's dead body, shall be unclean seven days;
“El que tocare un muerto, cualquier cadáver humano, quedará impuro siete días.
12 the same shall purify himself therewith on the third day and on the seventh day, and he shall be clean; but if he purify not himself the third day and the seventh day, he shall not be clean.
Se purificará con él (agua de estas cenizas) el día tercero y el día séptimo y quedará limpio. Mas si no se purificare el día tercero, no estará limpio el día séptimo.
13 Whosoever toucheth the dead, even the body of any man that is dead, and purifieth not himself — he hath defiled the tabernacle of the LORD — that soul shall be cut off from Israel; because the water of sprinkling was not dashed against him, he shall be unclean; his uncleanness is yet upon him.
Todo aquel que tocare un muerto, un cadáver humano, y no se purificare, profanará la Morada de Yahvé. Ese tal será exterminado de en medio de Israel. Es impuro porque las aguas expiatorias no han sido derramadas sobre él. Queda sobre él su inmundicia.
14 This is the law: when a man dieth in a tent, every one that cometh into the tent, and every thing that is in the tent, shall be unclean seven days.
Esta es la ley: Cuando alguno muriere en una tienda, todos los que entren en la tienda, y todos los que se hallen en la tienda, serán impuros por siete días.
15 And every open vessel, which hath no covering close-bound upon it, is unclean.
Y toda vasija abierta, que no tenga tapa atada, quedará inmunda.
16 And whosoever in the open field toucheth one that is slain with a sword, or one that dieth of himself, or a bone of a man, or a grave, shall be unclean seven days.
Quien tocare en el campo algún cuerpo que murió a espada, o un muerto cualquiera, o un hueso humano, o un sepulcro, quedará impuro siete días.
17 And for the unclean they shall take of the ashes of the burning of the purification from sin, and running water shall be put thereto in a vessel.
Para tal persona impura se tomará de la ceniza de aquella (vaca) quemada en sacrificio por el pecado, y se echará sobre ella un vaso de agua viva.
18 And a clean person shall take hyssop, and dip it in the water, and sprinkle it upon the tent, and upon all the vessels, and upon the persons that were there, and upon him that touched the bone, or the slain, or the dead, or the grave.
Un hombre limpio tomará un hisopo, lo mojará en el agua y rociará la tienda, todos sus muebles y todas las personas que allí se hallaren, y al que haya tocado el hueso, o al hombre matado, o al muerto, o a la sepultura.
19 And the clean person shall sprinkle upon the unclean on the third day, and on the seventh day; and on the seventh day he shall purify him; and he shall wash his clothes, and bathe himself in water, and shall be clean at even.
Rociará el limpio al inmundo al día tercero, y al día séptimo; y cuando le haya purificado al día séptimo, lavará sus vestidos, y a sí mismo se lavará con agua, y a la tarde quedará puro.
20 But the man that shall be unclean, and shall not purify himself, that soul shall be cut off from the midst of the assembly, because he hath defiled the sanctuary of the LORD; the water of sprinkling hath not been dashed against him: he is unclean.
Quien, estando impuro, no se purificare, será exterminado de en medio del pueblo, por haber contaminado el Santuario de Yahvé. Por no haber sido rociado con el agua lustral, queda inmundo.
21 And it shall be a perpetual statute unto them; and he that sprinkleth the water of sprinkling shall wash his clothes; and he that toucheth the water of sprinkling shall be unclean until even.
Esto será para ellos ley perpetua. También aquel que haga la aspersión con el agua lustral, lavará sus vestidos; y el que tocare el agua lustral, quedará inmundo hasta la tarde.
22 And whatsoever the unclean person toucheth shall be unclean; and the soul that toucheth him shall be unclean until even.
Todo lo que tocare el impuro quedará inmundo; y la persona que lo tocare, quedará inmunda hasta la tarde.”
