Numbers 1
1 AND THE LORD spoke unto Moses in the wilderness of Sinai, in the tent of meeting, on the first day of the second month, in the second year after they were come out of the land of Egypt, saying:
El segundo año después de la salida del país de Egipto, el primer día del mes segundo, habló Yahvé a Moisés en el desierto del Sinaí, en el Tabernáculo de la Reunión, diciendo:
2 'Take ye the sum of all the congregation of the children of Israel, by their families, by their fathers' houses, according to the number of names, every male, by their polls;
“Haced el censo de toda la Congregación de los hijos de Israel, según sus familias y casas paternas, contando por cabezas los nombres de todos los varones
3 from twenty years old and upward, all that are able to go forth to war in Israel: ye shall number them by their hosts, even thou and Aaron.
de veinte años para arriba de todos los israelitas aptos para la guerra. Tú y Aarón los contaréis según sus escuadrones.
4 And with you there shall be a man of every tribe, every one head of his fathers' house.
Os acompañará un hombre de cada tribu, que sea cabeza de su casa paterna.
5 And these are the names of the men that shall stand with you: of Reuben, Elizur the son of Shedeur.
Estos son los nombres de los varones que os ayudarán: De Rubén, Elisur, hijo de Sedeur,
6 Of Simeon, Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai.
de Simeón, Selumiel, hijo de Surisadai;
7 Of Judah, Nahshon the son of Amminadab.
de Judá, Naasón, hijo de Aminadab;
8 Of Issachar, Nethanel the son of Zuar.
de Isacar, Natanael, hijo de Suar;
9 Of Zebulun, Eliab the son of Helon.
de Zabulón, Eliab, hijo de Helón;
10 Of the children of Joseph: of Ephraim, Elishama the son of Ammihud; of Manasseh, Gamaliel the son of Pedahzur.
de los hijos de José: de Efraím, Elisamá, hijo de Amiud; de Manasés, Gamaliel, hijo de Pedasur:
11 Of Benjamin, Abidan the son of Gideoni.
de Benjamín, Abidán, hijo de Gedeoní;
12 Of Dan, Ahiezer the son of Ammishaddai.

13 Of Asher, Pagiel the son of Ochran.

14 Of Gad, Eliasaph the son of Deuel.

15 Of Naphtali, Ahira the son of Enan.'

16 These were the elect of the congregation, the princes of the tribes of their fathers; they were the heads of the thousands of Israel.
Estos fueron los designados de entre la Congregación. Eran los príncipes de las tribus de sus padres y cabezas de los millares de Israel.
17 And Moses and Aaron took these men that are pointed out by name.
Moisés y Aarón tomaron a estos hombres designados nominalmente
18 And they assembled all the congregation together on the first day of the second month, and they declared their pedigrees after their families, by their fathers' houses, according to the number of names, from twenty years old and upward, by their polls.
y reunieron a toda la Congregación el día primero del segundo mes. Entonces fueron registrados, cabeza por cabeza, los varones de veinte años para arriba, según sus familias y casas paternas, conforme al número de los nombres.
19 As the LORD commanded Moses, so did he number them in the wilderness of Sinai.
Como Yahvé había mandado a Moisés, así los contó este en el desierto del Sinaí.
20 And the children of Reuben, Israel's first-born, their generations, by their families, by their fathers' houses, according to the number of names, by their polls, every male from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;
Hijos de Rubén, primogénito de Israel. Fueron alistados sus descendientes según sus familias y casas paternas, nominalmente y cabeza por cabeza, todos los varones de veinte años para arriba, todos los aptos para la guerra,
21 those that were numbered of them, of the tribe of Reuben, were forty and six thousand and five hundred.
y fueron contados de la tribu de Rubén cuarenta y seis mil quinientos.
22 Of the children of Simeon, their generations, by their families, by their fathers' houses, those that were numbered thereof, according to the number of names, by their polls, every male from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;
Hijos de Simeón. Fueron alistados sus descendientes, según sus familias y casas paternas, nominalmente y cabeza por cabeza, todos los varones de veinte años para arriba, todos los aptos para la guerra;
23 those that were numbered of them, of the tribe of Simeon, were fifty and nine thousand and three hundred.
y fueron contados de la tribu de Simeón cincuenta y nueve mil trescientos.
24 Of the children of Gad, their generations, by their families, by their fathers' houses, according to the number of names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;
Hijos de Gad. Fueron alistados nominalmente sus descendientes, según sus familias y casas paternas, los de veinte años para arriba, todos los aptos para la guerra;
25 those that were numbered of them, of the tribe of Gad, were forty and five thousand six hundred and fifty.
y fueron contados de la tribu de Gad cuarenta y cinco mil seiscientos cincuenta.
26 Of the children of Judah, their generations, by their families, by their fathers' houses, according to the number of names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;
Hijos de Judá. Fueron alistados nominalmente sus descendientes, según sus familias y casas paternas, los de veinte años para arriba, todos los aptos para la guerra;
27 those that were numbered of them, of the tribe of Judah, were threescore and fourteen thousand and six hundred.
y fueron contados de la tribu de Judá setenta y cuatro mil seiscientos.
28 Of the children of Issachar, their generations, by their families, by their fathers' houses, according to the number of names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;
Hijos de Isacar. Fueron alistados nominalmente sus descendientes, según sus familias y casas paternas, los de veinte años para arriba, todos los aptos para la guerra;
29 those that were numbered of them, of the tribe of Issachar, were fifty and four thousand and four hundred.
y fueron contados de la tribu de Isacar cincuenta y cuatro mil cuatrocientos.
30 Of the children of Zebulun, their generations, by their families, by their fathers' houses, according to the number of names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;
Hijos de Zabulón. Fueron alistados nominalmente sus descendientes, según sus familias y casas paternas, de veinte años para arriba, todos los aptos para la guerra;
31 those that were numbered of them, of the tribe of Zebulun, were fifty and seven thousand and four hundred.
y fueron contados de la tribu de Zabulón cincuenta y siete mil cuatrocientos.
32 Of the children of Joseph, namely, of the children of Ephraim, their generations, by their families, by their fathers' houses, according to the number of names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;
Hijos de José, hijos de Efraím. Fueron alistados nominalmente sus descendientes, según sus familias y casas paternas, los de veinte años para arriba, todos los aptos para la guerra;
33 those that were numbered of them, of the tribe of Ephraim, were forty thousand and five hundred.
y fueron contados de la tribu de Efraím cuarenta mil quinientos.
34 Of the children of Manasseh, their generations, by their families, by their fathers' houses, according to the number of names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;
Hijos de Manasés. Fueron alistados nominalmente sus descendientes, según sus familias y sus casas paternas, los de veinte años para arriba, todos los aptos para la guerra;
35 those that were numbered of them, of the tribe of Manasseh, were thirty and two thousand and two hundred.
y fueron contados de la tribu de Manasés treinta y dos mil doscientos.
36 Of the children of Benjamin, their generations, by their families, by their fathers' houses, according to the number of names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;
Hijos de Benjamín. Fueron alistados nominalmente sus descendientes, según sus familias y sus casas paternas, los de veinte años para arriba, todos los aptos para la guerra;
37 those that were numbered of them, of the tribe of Benjamin, were thirty and five thousand and four hundred.
y fueron contados de la tribu de Benjamín treinta y cinco mil cuatrocientos.
38 Of the children of Dan, their generations, by their families, by their fathers' houses, according to the number of names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;
Hijos de Dan. Fueron alistados nominalmente sus descendientes, según sus familias y casas paternas, los de veinte años para arriba, todos los aptos para la guerra;
39 those that were numbered of them, of the tribe of Dan, were threescore and two thousand and seven hundred.
y fueron contados de la tribu de Dan sesenta y dos mil setecientos.
40 Of the children of Asher, their generations, by their families, by their fathers' houses, according to the number of names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;
Hijos de Aser. Fueron alistados nominalmente sus descendientes, según sus familias y casas paternas, los de veinte años para arriba, todos los aptos para la guerra;
41 those that were numbered of them, of the tribe of Asher, were forty and one thousand and five hundred.
y fueron contados de la tribu de Aser cuarenta y un mil quinientos.
42 Of the children of Naphtali, their generations, by their families, by their fathers' houses, according to the number of names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;
Hijos de Neftalí. Fueron alistados nominalmente sus descendientes, según sus familias y casas paternas, los de veinte años para arriba, todos los aptos para la guerra;
43 those that were numbered of them, of the tribe of Naphtali, were fifty and three thousand and four hundred.
y fueron contados de la tribu de Neftalí cincuenta y tres mil cuatrocientos.
44 These are those that were numbered, which Moses and Aaron numbered, and the princes of Israel, being twelve men; they were each one for his fathers' house.
Estos son los empadronados, a quienes contaron Moisés y Aarón, con los doce príncipes de Israel, uno por cada casa paterna,
45 And all those that were numbered of the children of Israel by their fathers' houses, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war in Israel;
y fue el número de todos los empadronados de los hijos de Israel, según sus casas paternas, de veinte años para arriba, todos aptos para la guerra:
46 even all those that were numbered were six hundred thousand and three thousand and five hundred and fifty.
el número de todos esos empadronados fue de seiscientos tres mil quinientos cincuenta.
47 But the Levites after the tribe of their fathers were not numbered among them.
Los levitas no fueron contados como los otros, según la tribu de sus padres;
48 And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying:
porque Yahvé habló a Moisés, diciendo:
49 'Howbeit the tribe of Levi thou shalt not number, neither shalt thou take the sum of them among the children of Israel;
“No contarás la tribu de Leví, y no harás su censo entre los hijos de Israel.
50 but appoint thou the Levites over the tabernacle of the testimony, and over all the furniture thereof, and over all that belongeth to it; they shall bear the tabernacle, and all the furniture thereof; and they shall minister unto it, and shall encamp round about the tabernacle.
Encargarás a los levitas el cuidado del Tabernáculo del Testimonio, con todos sus utensilios, y todo cuanto le pertenece: ellos llevarán el Tabernáculo y todos sus utensilios, ejercerán allí su ministerio y acamparán alrededor del Tabernáculo.
51 And when the tabernacle setteth forward, the Levites shall take it down; and when the tabernacle is to be pitched, the Levites shall set it up; and the common man that draweth nigh shall be put to death.
Al ponerse en marcha el Tabernáculo, los levitas lo desarmarán; y al pararse el Tabernáculo, los levitas lo armarán; y el extraño que se acercare morirá.
52 And the children of Israel shall pitch their tents, every man with his own camp, and every man with his own standard, according to their hosts.
Los hijos de Israel fijarán sus tiendas, cada (tribu) en su campamento, y bajo su bandera, según sus escuadrones;
53 But the Levites shall pitch round about the tabernacle of the testimony, that there be no wrath upon the congregation of the children of Israel; and the Levites shall keep the charge of the tabernacle of the testimony.'
los levitas, en cambio, acamparán alrededor del Tabernáculo del Testimonio, para que la ira (de Dios) no estalle contra la Congregación de los hijos de Israel. Los levitas estarán encargados de guardar el Tabernáculo del Testimonio.”
54 Thus did the children of Israel; according to all that the LORD commanded Moses, so did they.
