Nahum 1
1 THE BURDEN of Nineveh. The book of the vision of Nahum the Elkoshite.

2 The LORD is a jealous and avenging God, the LORD avengeth and is full of wrath; the LORD taketh vengeance on His adversaries, and He reserveth wrath for His enemies.
上主是嫉惡和復仇的天主；上主要復仇，且憤恕填胸；上主汐必對敵人復仉，必向仇人洩怒。
3 The LORD is long-suffering, and great in power, and will by no means clear the guilty; the LORD, in the whirlwind and in the storm is His way, and the clouds are the dust of His feet.
上主雖緩於發怒，但能力偉大，衪決不全然免罰；衪的行為是在狂風暴雨中，雲彩是衪腳下的塵埃。
4 He rebuketh the sea, and maketh it dry, and drieth up all the rivers; Bashan languisheth, and Carmel, and the flower of Lebanon languisheth.
衪一呵叱海洋，海洋即枯竭，眾河流也為之乾涸，巴商與加爾默耳於是枯槁，黎巴嫩的花卉也隨之凋謝。
5 The mountains quake at Him, and the hills melt; and the earth is upheaved at His presence, yea, the world, and all that dwell therein.
山岳在衪面前震盪，丘陵動搖；大地寰宇及其中所有的居民，在衪面前莫不戰慄。
6 Who can stand before His indignation? And who can abide in the fierceness of His anger? His fury is poured out like fire, and the rocks are broken asunder before Him.
誰能抵得住衪的怒氣﹖誰能忍受得住衪的烈怒﹖衪的憤怒如火冒出，連磐石也要在衪面前破碎。
7 The LORD is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; and He knoweth them that take refuge in Him.
上主原是良善的，是患難之日的避難所，衪必照顧依賴衪的人；
8 But with an overrunning flood He will make a full end of the place thereof, and darkness shall pursue His enemies.
在洪流氾濫時，衪必拯救他們；但對衪的敵人，衪必予以毀滅，將衪的仇人驅入黑暗。
9 What do ye devise against the LORD? He will make a full end; trouble shall not rise up the second time.
尼尼微，你們對上主有什麼圖謀﹖衪必完全予以毀滅，不必二次降災。
10 For though they be like tangled thorns, and be drunken according to their drink, they shall be devoured as stubble fully dry.
他們像纏結的荊棘[又像大醉的豪飲者，]必如乾楷全被燒盡。
11 Out of thee came he forth, that deviseth evil against the LORD, that counselleth wickedness.
是由你們中間出現了那妄想反抗上主，圖謀惡計的人。
12 Thus saith the LORD: Though they be in full strength, and likewise many, even so shall they be cut down, and he shall pass away; and though I have afflicted thee, I will afflict thee no more.
上主這樣說：「雖然他們裝備齊全而且眾多，但仍要被剷除，歸於烏有。雖然磨難了你，我必不再磨難你。
13 And now will I break his yoke from off thee, and will burst thy bonds in sunder.
現在我必由你身上打斷他的軛，打碎你的鎖鏈。
14 And the LORD hath given commandment concerning thee, that no more of thy name be sown; out of the house of thy god will I cut off the graven image and the molten image; I will make thy grave; for thou art become worthless.
尼尼微，上主已對你下了命令：你的名字不再傳於後世；我要把彫像鑄像由你神廟內除去，並使你的墳墓成為辱罵的對象。」
15 Behold upon the mountains the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that announceth peace! Keep thy feasts, O Judah, perform thy vows; for the wicked one shall no more pass through thee; he is utterly cut off.
看，那傳報福音，宣侑和平者的腳已站在山上! 猶大，你的慶節，償還你的誓願吧! 因為那惡者不會再由你中間經過，他已全然消滅。
