Micah 7
1 Woe is me! for I am as the last of the summer fruits, as the grape gleanings of the vintage; there is no cluster to eat; nor first-ripe fig which my soul desireth.
La misère est à moi! En effet, je suis comme celui qui cueille les fruits d'été, comme des glanes de la vigne. Il n'y a pas de grappe de raisin à manger. Mon âme désire manger la figue précoce.
2 The godly man is perished out of the earth, and the upright among men is no more; they all lie in wait for blood; they hunt every man his brother with a net.
L'homme pieux a péri sur la terre, et il n'y a personne de droit parmi les hommes. Ils sont tous à l'affût du sang; chaque homme chasse son frère avec un filet.
3 Their hands are upon that which is evil to do it diligently; the prince asketh, and the judge is ready for a reward; and the great man, he uttereth the evil desire of his soul; thus they weave it together.
Leurs mains sont sur ce qui est mauvais pour le faire avec diligence. Le souverain et le juge demandent un pot-de-vin. L'homme puissant dicte le mauvais désir de son âme. Ainsi, ils conspirent ensemble.
4 The best of them is as a brier; the most upright is worse than a thorn hedge; the day of thy watchmen, even thy visitation, is come; now shall be their perplexity.
Le meilleur d'entre eux est comme un ronceau. Le plus droit est pire qu'une haie d'épines. Le jour de vos gardiens, même votre visite, est arrivée; c'est maintenant le temps de leur confusion.
5 Trust ye not in a friend, put ye not confidence in a familiar friend; keep the doors of thy mouth from her that lieth in thy bosom.
Ne faites pas confiance à un voisin. Ne faites pas confiance à un ami. Avec la femme allongée dans vos bras, faites attention aux mots de votre bouche!
6 For the son dishonoureth the father, the daughter riseth up against her mother, the daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law; a man's enemies are the men of his own house.
Car le fils déshonore le père, la fille se soulève contre sa mère, la belle-fille contre sa belle-mère; les ennemis d'un homme sont les hommes de sa propre maison.
7 'But as for me, I will look unto the LORD; I will wait for the God of my salvation; my God will hear me.
Mais moi, je me tournerai vers Yahvé. J'attendrai le Dieu de mon salut. Mon Dieu m'entendra.
8 Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy; though I am fallen, I shall arise; though I sit in darkness, the LORD is a light unto me.
Ne te réjouis pas contre moi, mon ennemi. Quand je tomberai, je me relèverai. Quand je serai assis dans les ténèbres, Yahvé sera pour moi une lumière.
9 I will bear the indignation of the LORD, because I have sinned against Him; until He plead my cause, and execute judgment for me; He will bring me forth to the light, and I shall behold His righteousness.
Je supporterai la colère de Yahvé, parce que j'ai péché contre lui, jusqu'à ce qu'il plaide ma cause et exécute le jugement pour moi. Il m'amènera à la lumière. Je verrai sa justice.
10 Then mine enemy shall see it, and shame shall cover her; who said unto me: Where is the LORD thy God? Mine eyes shall gaze upon her; now shall she be trodden down as the mire of the streets.'
Alors mon ennemi le verra, et la honte couvrira celle qui m'a dit, « Où est Yahvé ton Dieu? » Mes yeux la verront. Maintenant, elle sera foulée aux pieds comme la boue des rues.
11 'The day for building thy walls, even that day, shall be far removed.'
Un jour pour construire vos murs! Ce jour-là, il repoussera vos limites.
12 There shall be a day when they shall come unto thee, from Assyria even to the cities of Egypt, and from Egypt even to the River, and from sea to sea, and from mountain to mountain.
En ce jour-là, ils viendront à toi de l'Assyrie et des villes d'Égypte, et depuis l'Égypte jusqu'au fleuve, et d'une mer à l'autre, et de montagne en montagne.
13 And the land shall be desolate for them that dwell therein, because of the fruit of their doings.
Mais le pays sera dévasté à cause de ceux qui l'habitent, pour le fruit de leurs actions.
14 Tend Thy people with Thy staff, the flock of Thy heritage, that dwell solitarily, as a forest in the midst of the fruitful field; let them feed in Bashan and Gilead, as in the days of old.
Fais paître ton peuple avec ton bâton, le troupeau de votre héritage, qui vivent seuls dans une forêt. Laissez-les se nourrir au milieu de pâturages fertiles, en Basan et en Galaad, comme au temps jadis.
15 'As in the days of thy coming forth out of the land of Egypt will I show unto him marvellous things.'
« Comme à l'époque de votre sortie du pays d'Égypte, Je leur montrerai des choses merveilleuses. »
16 The nations shall see and be put to shame for all their might; they shall lay their hand upon their mouth, their ears shall be deaf.
Les nations verront et auront honte de toute leur puissance. Ils poseront leur main sur leur bouche. Leurs oreilles seront sourdes.
17 They shall lick the dust like a serpent; like crawling things of the earth they shall come trembling out of their close places; they shall come with fear unto the LORD our God, and shall be afraid because of Thee.
Ils lécheront la poussière comme un serpent. Comme des êtres rampants de la terre, ils sortiront en tremblant de leur tanière. Ils viendront avec crainte vers Yahvé notre Dieu, et auront peur à cause de vous.
18 Who is a God like unto Thee, that pardoneth the iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of His heritage? He retaineth not His anger for ever, because He delighteth in mercy.
Qui est un Dieu comme toi, qui pardonne l'iniquité? et passe sous silence la désobéissance du reste de son héritage? Il ne garde pas sa colère pour toujours, parce qu'il se complaît dans la bonté.
19 He will again have compassion upon us; He will subdue our iniquities; and Thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea.
Il aura de nouveau pitié de nous. Il foulera nos iniquités aux pieds. Tu jetteras tous leurs péchés dans les profondeurs de la mer.
20 Thou wilt show faithfulness to Jacob, mercy to Abraham, as Thou hast sworn unto our fathers from the days of old.
Tu donneras la vérité à Jacob, et la miséricorde à Abraham, comme tu l'as juré à nos pères dès les premiers jours.
