Leviticus 12
1 And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying:
Y Él Señor dijo a Moisés:
2 Speak unto the children of Israel, saying: If a woman be delivered, and bear a man-child, then she shall be unclean seven days; as in the days of the impurity of her sickness shall she be unclean.
Díles a los hijos de Israel: Si una mujer está embarazada y da a luz un hijo varón, quedará impura durante siete días, como lo es en el tiempo de su menstruación.
3 And in the eighth day the flesh of his foreskin shall be circumcised.
Y al octavo día se le dé la circuncisión.
4 And she shall continue in the blood of purification three and thirty days; she shall touch no hallowed thing, nor come into the sanctuary, until the days of her purification be fulfilled.
Y será inmunda por treinta y tres días, hasta que se detenga el flujo de su sangre; ninguna cosa santa puede ser tocada por ella, y ella no puede entrar en el lugar santo, hasta que el periodo de purificación haya terminado.
5 But if she bear a maid-child, then she shall be unclean two weeks, as in her impurity; and she shall continue in the blood of purification threescore and six days.
Pero si ella da a luz a una niña, será impura por dos semanas, como cuando se está purificando de su flujo de sangre; y ella no estará completamente limpia por sesenta y seis días.
6 And when the days of her purification are fulfilled, for a son, or for a daughter, she shall bring a lamb of the first year for a burnt-offering, and a young pigeon, or a turtle-dove, for a sin-offering, unto the door of the tent of meeting, unto the priest.
Y cuando terminen los días de purificación ya sea de un hijo o una hija, déjala llevar al sacerdote a la puerta de la Tienda de reunión, un cordero del primer año para una ofrenda quemada y una tórtola o una paloma para una ofrenda por el pecado:
7 And he shall offer it before the LORD, and make atonement for her; and she shall be cleansed from the fountain of her blood. This is the law for her that beareth, whether a male or a female.
Y el sacerdote debe hacer una ofrenda ante el Señor y quitarle su pecado, y ella será limpiada del flujo de su sangre. Esta es la ley para una mujer que da a luz a un niño o una niña.
8 And if her means suffice not for a lamb, then she shall take two turtle-doves, or two young pigeons: the one for a burnt-offering, and the other for a sin-offering; and the priest shall make atonement for her, and she shall be clean.
Y si ella no tiene dinero suficiente para un cordero, entonces déjala tomar dos palomas o dos tórtolas, una para una ofrenda quemada y la otra para una ofrenda por el pecado, y el sacerdote quitará su pecado y ella será purificada,
