Lamentations 5
1 Remember, O LORD, what is come upon us; behold, and see our reproach.
೧ಯೆಹೋವನೇ, ನಮಗಾದ ದುರ್ಗತಿಯನ್ನು ನೆನಪಿಗೆ ತಂದುಕೋ; ನಾವು ಗುರಿಯಾಗಿರುವ ಅವಮಾನವನ್ನು ದೃಷ್ಟಿಸಿ ನೋಡು.
2 Our inheritance is turned unto strangers, our houses unto aliens.
೨ನಮ್ಮ ಸ್ವತ್ತು ಪರರ ಪಾಲಾಗಿದೆ, ನಮ್ಮ ಮನೆಗಳು ಪರರ ಕೈವಶವಾಗಿವೆ.
3 We are become orphans and fatherless, our mothers are as widows.
೩ನಾವು ತಂದೆಯಿಲ್ಲದ ಅನಾಥರು, ನಮ್ಮ ತಾಯಂದಿರು ವಿಧವೆಯರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
4 We have drunk our water for money; our wood cometh to us for price.
೪ನೀರು ನಮ್ಮದಾದರೂ ಕೊಂಡುಕೊಂಡು ಕುಡಿಯುತ್ತೇವೆ; ಸೌದೆ ಸ್ವಂತವಾದರೂ ಕ್ರಯಕ್ಕೆ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತೇವೆ.
5 To our very necks we are pursued; we labour, and have no rest.
೫ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಹಿಂದಟ್ಟುವವರು ನಮ್ಮ ಕುತ್ತಿಗೆಯನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದಿದ್ದಾರೆ, ಬಳಲಿಹೋಗಿದ್ದೇವೆ, ಯಾವ ವಿಶ್ರಾಂತಿಯೂ ಇಲ್ಲ.
6 We have given the hand to Egypt, and to Assyria, to have bread enough;
೬ಹೇಗಾದರೂ ಹೊಟ್ಟೆ ತುಂಬಾ ಅನ್ನ ತಿನ್ನೋಣ ಎಂದು ಐಗುಪ್ತ್ಯರಿಗೂ ಮತ್ತು ಅಶ್ಶೂರ್ಯರಿಗೂ ಅಧೀನರಾದೆವು.
7 Our fathers have sinned, and are not; and we have borne their iniquities.
೭ನಮ್ಮ ಪೂರ್ವಿಕರು ಪಾಪಮಾಡಿ ಇಲ್ಲದೆ ಹೋದರು; ಅವರ ದೋಷಫಲವನ್ನು ನಾವು ಅನುಭವಿಸಬೇಕಾಯಿತು.
8 Servants rule over us; there is none to deliver us out of their hand.
೮ಗುಲಾಮರಾಗಿದ್ದವರು ನಮಗೆ ದಣಿಗಳಾದರು, ಅವರ ಕೈಯಿಂದ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಬಿಡಿಸುವವರೇ ಇಲ್ಲ.
9 We get our bread with the peril of our lives because of the sword of the wilderness.
೯ಆಹಾರಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರ ಬೆಳೆಯನ್ನು ಕೊಯ್ಯುತ್ತಿರುವಾಗ ಅರಣ್ಯದವರ ಕತ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ಪ್ರಾಣಾಪಾಯಕ್ಕೆ ಗುರಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದೇವೆ.
10 Our skin is hot like an oven because of the burning heat of famine.
೧೦ಕ್ಷಾಮಕಾಲದ ಭೀಕರ ಜ್ವರದಿಂದ ನಮ್ಮ ಚರ್ಮವು ಒಲೆಯಂತೆ ಸುಡುತ್ತದೆ.
11 They have ravished the women in Zion, the maidens in the cities of Judah.
೧೧ಚೀಯೋನಿನ ಸತಿಯರ ಮತ್ತು ಯೆಹೂದದ ಊರುಗಳ ಕನ್ಯೆಯರ ಅತ್ಯಾಚಾರವಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ.
12 Princes are hanged up by their hand; the faces of elders are not honoured.
೧೨ರಾಜಪುತ್ರರ ಕೈಗಳನ್ನು ಗಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ನೇತುಹಾಕಿದ್ದಾರೆ; ವೃದ್ಧರು ಮಾನಭಂಗಪಟ್ಟರು.
13 The young men have borne the mill, and the children have stumbled under the wood.
೧೩ಯುವಭಟರಿಗೆ ಬೀಸುವ ಕಲ್ಲನ್ನು ಹೊರುವ ಗತಿ ಬಂತು; ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಸೌದೆಹೊರೆ ಹೊತ್ತು ಮುಗ್ಗರಿಸಬೇಕಾಯಿತು.
14 The elders have ceased from the gate, the young men from their music.
೧೪ವೃದ್ಧರು ಇನ್ನು ಚಾವಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇರರು, ಯುವಕರು ಇನ್ನು ವಾದ್ಯಬಾರಿಸರು.
15 The joy of our heart is ceased; our dance is turned into mourning.
೧೫ನಮ್ಮ ಹೃದಯಾನಂದವು ತೀರಿತು, ನಮ್ಮ ನಾಟ್ಯ ನಲಿವುಗಳು ದುಃಖವಾಗಿ ಮಾರ್ಪಟ್ಟಿವೆ.
16 The crown is fallen from our head; woe unto us! for we have sinned.
೧೬ಕಿರೀಟವು ನಮ್ಮ ತಲೆಯ ಮೇಲಿಂದ ಬಿದ್ದು ಹೋಗಿದೆ, ಅಯ್ಯೋ, ನಮ್ಮ ಗತಿಯನ್ನು ಏನು ಹೇಳೋಣ! ನಾವು ಪಾಪಮಾಡಿದವರೇ ಸರಿ!
17 For this our heart is faint, for these things our eyes are dim;
೧೭ನಮ್ಮ ಹೃದಯವು ಕುಂದಿದೆ ಮತ್ತು ನಮ್ಮ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳು ಮೊಬ್ಬಾಗಿವೆ.
18 For the mountain of Zion, which is desolate, the foxes walk upon it.
೧೮ಯಾಕೆಂದರೆ ನರಿಗಳು ಹಾಳಾಗಿರುವ ಚೀಯೋನ್ ಪರ್ವತದ ಬಳಿ ಸಂಚರಿಸುತ್ತವೆ.
19 Thou, O LORD, art enthroned for ever, Thy throne is from generation to generation.
೧೯ಆದರೆ ಯೆಹೋವನೇ, ನೀನು ಶಾಶ್ವತವಾಗಿ ನೆಲೆಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದೀ, ತಲತಲಾಂತರಕ್ಕೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಸಿಂಹಾಸನವು ಸ್ಥಿರವಾಗಿರುವುದು.
20 Wherefore dost Thou forget us for ever, and forsake us so long time?
೨೦ನೀನು ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ಮರೆತಿರುವುದೇಕೆ? ಏಕೆ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಇಷ್ಟುಕಾಲ ಕೈಬಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದೀ?
21 Turn Thou us unto Thee, O LORD, and we shall be turned; renew our days as of old.
೨೧ಯೆಹೋವನೇ, ನೀನು ನಮ್ಮ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಲು ಸಿಟ್ಟುಗೊಂಡು ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ತ್ಯಜಿಸಿಬಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದೀಯೋ?
22 Thou canst not have utterly rejected us, and be exceeding wroth against us!
೨೨ಪೂರ್ವಕಾಲದ ಸುಸ್ಥಿತಿಯನ್ನು ನಮಗೆ ಮತ್ತೆ ದಯಪಾಲಿಸು. ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ಕಡೆಗೆ ತಿರುಗಿಸು; ನೀನು ತಿರುಗಿಸಿದ ಹಾಗೆ ತಿರುಗುವೆವು;
