Judges 6
1 And the children of Israel did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD; and the LORD delivered them into the hand of Midian seven years.
১পাছত ইস্ৰায়েলৰ সন্তান সকলে পুনৰ যিহোৱাৰ সাক্ষাতে কু-আচৰণ কৰিবলৈ ধৰিলে। তাতে যিহোৱাই তেওঁলোকক মিদিয়নীয়াসকলৰ হাতত শোধাই দিলে আৰু তেওঁলোক সাত বছৰ ধৰি তেওঁলোকৰ অধীন হৈ থাকিল।
2 And the hand of Midian prevailed against Israel; and because of Midian the children of Israel made them the dens which are in the mountains, and the caves, and the strongholds.
২মিদিয়নীয়াসকল শক্তিশালী হোৱাত ইস্ৰায়েলবাসীক তেওঁলোকে অত্যাচাৰ কৰিবলৈ ধৰিলে; মিদিয়নৰ ভয়তে ইস্ৰায়েলৰ সন্তান সকলে পাহাৰৰ মাজৰ ফাঁক, গুহা আৰু দুর্গবোৰ আশ্রয়ৰ ঠাই কৰি ল’লে।
3 And so it was, when Israel had sown, that the Midianites came up, and the Amalekites, and the children of the east; they came up against them;
৩ইস্ৰায়েলীয়াসকলে যেতিয়া নিজৰ কঠীয়া সিচেঁ, সেই সময়ত মিদিয়নীয়া, অমালেকীয়া, আৰু পূব দেশৰ লোকসকলে আহি তেওঁলোকক আক্রমণ কৰে।
4 and they encamped against them, and destroyed the produce of the earth, till thou come unto Gaza, and left no sustenance in Israel, neither sheep, nor ox, nor ass.
৪তেওঁলোকে ছাউনি পাতি গাজালৈকে গোটেই ভূমিৰ শস্য নষ্ট কৰি দিয়ে; তেওঁলোকে ইস্ৰায়েলীসকলে খাবৰ বাবে খোৱা-বস্তুৰ একো অৱশিষ্ট নাৰাখে; তেওঁলোকে মেৰ-ছাগ, পশুধন বা গাধ এইবোৰো লৈ যায়।
5 For they came up with their cattle and their tents, and they came in as locusts for multitude; both they and their camels were without number; and they came into the land to destroy it.
৫তেওঁলোকে নিজৰ পশুধন আৰু তম্বু লগত লৈ ফৰিঙৰ জাকৰ দৰে আহে; তেওঁলোকৰ লোক আৰু উট গণিব নোৱাৰাকৈ অসংখ্য আছিল; তেওঁলোকে দেশখন উচ্ছন্ন কৰিবলৈকে সোমায়।
6 And Israel was brought very low because of Midian; and the children of Israel cried unto the LORD.
৬মিদিয়নীয়াই ইস্ৰায়েলীয়াসকলৰ অৱস্থা অতিশয় শক্তিহীন কৰি তুলিলে; তেওঁলোকে যিহোৱাৰ ওচৰত বৰকৈ কান্দিবলৈ ধৰিলে।
7 And it came to pass, when the children of Israel cried unto the LORD because of Midian,
৭ইস্ৰায়েলৰ সন্তান সকলে মিদিয়নৰ কাৰণে যিহোৱাৰ আগত কাতৰোক্তি কৰিবলৈ ধৰিলে।
8 that the LORD sent a prophet unto the children of Israel; and he said unto them: 'Thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel: I brought you up from Egypt, and brought you forth out of the house of bondage;
৮তেতিয়া যিহোৱাই ইস্ৰায়েলৰ সন্তান সকলৰ ওচৰলৈ এজন ভাববাদী পঠালে; তেওঁ তেওঁলোকক ক’লে, “ইস্ৰায়েলৰ ঈশ্বৰ যিহোৱাই এই কথা কৈছে: ক্রীতদাসৰ গৃহ মিচৰ দেশৰ পৰা মইয়ে তোমালোকক উলিয়াই আনিলো।
9 and I delivered you out of the hand of the Egyptians, and out of the hand of all that oppressed you, and drove them out from before you, and gave you their land.
৯মিচৰীয়াসকলৰ ক্ষমতা আৰু তোমালোকক উপদ্ৰৱ কৰাসকলৰ হাতৰ পৰা মইয়ে তোমালোকক উদ্ধাৰ কৰিলোঁ। মই তেওঁলোকক তোমালোকৰ সন্মুখৰ পৰা খেদাই তেওঁলোকৰ ভূমি তোমালোকক দিলোঁ।
10 And I said unto you: I am the LORD your God; ye shall not fear the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell; but ye have not hearkened unto My voice.'
১০মই তোমালোকক কৈছিলোঁ, ‘মই তোমালোকৰ ঈশ্বৰ যিহোৱা; মই তোমালোকক আজ্ঞা দিছিলোঁ যে যিসকলৰ ভূমিত তোমালোকে বাস কৰিছা সেই ইমোৰীয়াসকলৰ দেৱ-দেৱীৰ পূজা তোমালোকে নকৰিবা’। কিন্তু তোমালোকে মোৰ কথা নুশুনিলা।”
11 And the angel of the LORD came, and sat under the terebinth which was in Ophrah, that belonged unto Joash the Abiezrite; and his son Gideon was beating out wheat in the winepress, to hide it from the Midianites.
১১সেই সময়ত যিহোৱাৰ দূতে আহি অফ্রাত থকা ওক গছৰ তলত বহিল। এই ঠাই অবীয়েজ্ৰীয়া বংশৰ যোৱাচৰ অধীনত আছিল। তাত যোৱাচৰ পুত্ৰ গিদিয়োনে মিদিয়নীয়াসকলৰ পৰা শস্য লুকুৱাই ৰাখিবৰ বাবে দ্ৰাক্ষাগুটি মৰা ঠাইত ঘেঁহুধান মাৰি আছিল।
12 And the angel of the LORD appeared unto him, and said unto him: 'The LORD is with thee, thou mighty man of valour.'
১২এনে সময়তে যিহোৱাৰ দূতে গিদিয়োনক দৰ্শন দি ক’লে, “হে শক্তিশালী যোদ্ধা, যিহোৱা তোমাৰ লগত আছে!”
13 And Gideon said unto him: 'Oh, my lord, if the LORD be with us, why then is all this befallen us? and where are all His wondrous works which our fathers told us of, saying: Did not the LORD bring us up from Egypt? but now the LORD hath cast us off, and delivered us into the hand of Midian.'
১৩গিদিয়োনে তেওঁক ক’লে, “কিন্তু হে মোৰ প্ৰভু, যিহোৱা যদি আমাৰ লগত আছে, তেনেহ’লে কিয় আমালৈ এইবোৰ ঘটিল? ‘যিহোৱায়ে জানো আমাক মিচৰৰ পৰা অনা নাছিল?’ এই কথা আমাৰ ওপৰ-পিতৃসকলে কৈছিল। তেওঁ কৰা যিবোৰ আচৰিত কার্যৰ বিষয়ে আমাক কৈছিল, সেইবোৰ এতিয়া ক’ত? কিন্তু এতিয়া তেওঁ আমাক ত্যাগ কৰিলে আৰু মিদিয়নীয়াসকলৰ হাতত সমৰ্পণ কৰিলে।”
14 And the LORD turned towards him, and said: 'Go in this thy might, and save Israel from the hand of Midian; have not I sent thee?'
১৪যিহোৱাই তেওঁৰ ফালে চাই ক’লে, “তোমাৰ নিজৰ এই শক্তিতেই তুমি যোৱা আৰু মিদিয়নীয়াসকলৰ হাতৰ পৰা ইস্ৰায়েলক উদ্ধাৰ কৰা। মই তোমাক জানো পঠোৱা নাই?”
15 And he said unto him: 'Oh, my lord, wherewith shall I save Israel? behold, my family is the poorest in Manasseh, and I am the least in my father's house.'
১৫গিদিয়োনে তেওঁক ক’লে, “কিন্তু হে মোৰ প্ৰভু, মই কেনেকৈ ইস্ৰায়েলক উদ্ধাৰ কৰিম? চাওক, মনচি ফৈদৰ মাজত মোৰ পৰিয়ালেই হৈছে সকলোতকৈ দুৰ্ব্বল। ইয়াৰ উপৰি মোৰ পিতৃ বংশত মইয়ে সবাতোকৈ গুৰুত্বহীন ব্যক্তি।”
16 And the LORD said unto him: 'Surely I will be with thee, and thou shalt smite the Midianites as one man.'
১৬যিহোৱাই তেওঁক ক’লে, “মই তোমাৰ সঙ্গত থাকিম, তাতে তুমি সকলো মিদিয়নীয়া সৈন্যক পৰাজিত কৰিবা।”
17 And he said unto him: 'If now I have found favour in thy sight, then show me a sign that it is thou that talkest with me.
১৭গিদিয়োনে তেওঁক ক’লে, “মই যদি আপোনাৰ দৃষ্টিত অনুগ্ৰহ প্ৰাপ্ত হৈছোঁ, তেনেহ’লে আপুনি যে মোৰে সৈতে কথা পাতিছে, ইয়াৰ এটা চিন মোক দিয়ক।
18 Depart not hence, I pray thee, until I come unto thee, and bring forth my present, and lay it before thee.' And he said: 'I will tarry until thou come back.'
১৮দয়া কৰি মই ঘূৰি আহি আপোনাৰ আগত মোৰ উপহাৰ উৎসর্গ নকৰা পর্যন্ত আপুনি ইয়াৰ পৰা নাযাব।” যিহোৱাই ক’লে, “তুমি উলটি নহা পর্যন্ত মই অপেক্ষা কৰিম।”
19 And Gideon went in, and made ready a kid, and unleavened cakes of an ephah of meal; the flesh he put in a basket, and he put the broth in a pot, and brought it out unto him under the terebinth, and presented it.
১৯তেতিয়া গিদিয়োনে গৈ এটা ছাগলী পোৱালি ৰান্ধিলে আৰু এক ঐফা আটাগুৰি লৈ খমিৰ নিদিয়াকৈ কেইটামান পিঠা বনালে; তাৰ পাছত মাংসখিনি এটা খৰাহিত ভৰাই জোলখিনি পাত্ৰত লৈ ওক গছজোপাৰ তলত তেওঁক আনি দিলে।
20 And the angel of God said unto him: 'Take the flesh and the unleavened cakes, and lay them upon this rock, and pour out the broth.' And he did so.
২০তাতে ঈশ্বৰৰ দূতে তেওঁক ক’লে, “মাংস আৰু খমিৰ নোহাৱা পিঠা কেইটা লৈ এই শিলটোৰ ওপৰত থোৱা, আৰু জোলখিনি তাৰ ওপৰত ঢালি দিয়া।” গিদিয়োনে সেইদৰেই কৰিলে।
21 Then the angel of the LORD put forth the end of the staff that was in his hand, and touched the flesh and the unleavened cakes; and there went up fire out of the rock, and consumed the flesh and the unleavened cakes; and the angel of the LORD departed out of his sight.
২১তেতিয়া যিহোৱাৰ দূতজনৰ হাতত যি লাঠি আছিল, সেই লাঠিডালৰ আগটোৰে তেওঁ সেই মাংস আৰু খমীৰ নোহাৱা পিঠাখিনি স্পৰ্শ কৰিলে; তাতে সেই শিলৰ পৰা অগ্নি ওলাই মাংস আৰু পিঠাখিনি পুৰি পেলালে। পাছত যিহোৱাৰ দূত অদৃশ্য হৈ গ’ল; গিদিয়োনে তেওঁক পুনৰ দেখা নাপালে।
22 And Gideon saw that he was the angel of the LORD; and Gideon said: 'Alas, O Lord GOD! forasmuch as I have seen the angel of the LORD face to face.'
২২গিদিয়োনে তেতিয়া তেওঁ যে যিহোৱাৰ দূত আছিল সেই বিষয়ে বুজি পাই ক’লে, “অহ, প্ৰভু যিহোৱা, মই যিহোৱাৰ দূতক সন্মুখা-সন্মুখিকৈ দেখা পালোঁ!”
23 And the LORD said unto him: 'Peace be unto thee; fear not; thou shalt not die.'
২৩তেতিয়া যিহোৱাই তেওঁক ক’লে, “তোমাৰ শান্তি হওক! ভয় নকৰিবা, তুমি নমৰিবা।”
24 Then Gideon built an altar there unto the LORD, and called it 'Adonai-shalom'; unto this day it is yet in Ophrah of the Abiezrites.
২৪তাৰ পাছত গিদিয়োনে সেই ঠাইতে যিহোৱাৰ অৰ্থে এটা বেদী নিৰ্ম্মাণ কৰি তাৰ নাম দিলে ‘যিহোৱা চালোম’; অবীয়েজ্ৰীয়া বংশৰ অফ্রা চহৰত সেই বেদী আজিও আছে।
25 And it came to pass the same night, that the LORD said unto him: 'Take thy father's bullock, and the second bullock of seven years old, and throw down the altar of Baal that thy father hath, and cut down the Asherah that is by it;
২৫সেইদিনা ৰাতি যিহোৱাই গিদিয়োনক ক’লে, “তোমাৰ পিতৃৰ ভতৰাবোৰৰ পৰা দ্বিতীয় ষাঁড়টো লোৱা, যিটোৰ বয়স সাত বছৰ হৈছে। তাৰ পাছত বাল দেৱতাৰ উদ্দেশ্যে যি বেদী তোমাৰ পিতৃৰ আছে, সেই বেদী তুমি ভাঙি পেলোৱা আৰু তাৰ ওচৰতে থকা আচেৰা দেৱীৰ পূজা কৰা খুঁটি কাটি পেলোৱা।
26 and build an altar unto the LORD thy God upon the top of this stronghold, in the ordered place, and take the second bullock, and offer a burnt-offering with the wood of the Asherah which thou shalt cut down.'
২৬তাৰ পাছত এই পাহাৰৰ ওপৰত তোমাৰ ঈশ্বৰ যিহোৱাৰ উদ্দেশ্যে ভালদৰে এটা বেদী নিৰ্ম্মাণ কৰা। পাছত দ্বিতীয় ভতৰাটো লৈ সেই আচেৰা মূর্ত্তিৰ খুটিৰ যি কাঠ তুমি কাটিবা তাক জ্বলাই হোম-বলি উৎসৰ্গ কৰা।
27 Then Gideon took ten men of his servants, and did as the LORD had spoken unto him; and it came to pass, because he feared his father's household and the men of the city, so that he could not do it by day, that he did it by night.
২৭তেতিয়া গিদিয়োনে নিজৰ দাসবোৰৰ মাজৰ দহ জনক লগত ল’লে আৰু যিহোৱাৰ কথা অনুসাৰে কাৰ্য কৰিলে; কিন্তু নিজৰ পৰিয়াল আৰু নগৰৰ লোকসকলৰ ভয়ত তেওঁ সেই কাম দিনৰ ভাগত নকৰি ৰাতি কৰিলে।”
28 And when the men of the city arose early in the morning, behold, the altar of Baal was broken down, and the Asherah was cut down that was by it, and the second bullock was offered upon the altar that was built.
২৮ৰাতিপুৱা যেতিয়া নগৰৰ লোকসকলে উঠি দেখিলে যে, বাল দেৱতাৰ বেদী ভাঙি পেলোৱা হৈছে আৰু তাৰ ওচৰত থকা আচেৰা দেৱীৰ খুটিও কাটি পেলোৱা হৈছে; আৰু এটা নতুনকৈ সজা বেদীৰ ওপৰত দ্বিতীয় ভতৰাটোৰ বলি উৎসর্গ কৰা হৈছে।
29 And they said one to another: 'Who hath done this thing?' And when they inquired and asked, they said: 'Gideon the son of Joash hath done this thing.'
২৯তেতিয়া তেওঁলোকে এজনে আন জনক সুধিলে, “এই কাম কোনে কৰিলে?” এইদৰে পাছত তেওঁলোকে ভালদৰে সোধ-পোছ কৰি বিচাৰ কৰাত জানিব পাৰিলে যে, যোৱাচৰ পুত্ৰ গিদিয়োনে এই কাম কৰিলে।
30 Then the men of the city said unto Joash: 'Bring out thy son, that he may die; because he hath broken down the altar of Baal, and because he hath cut down the Asherah that was by it.'
৩০তাৰ পাছত নগৰৰ মানুহবোৰে যোৱাচক ক’লে, “তোমাৰ পুত্ৰক বাহিৰলৈ উলিয়াই আনা, সি মৰিব লাগে; কিয়নো সি বাল-দেৱতাৰ বেদী ভাঙিলে আৰু তাৰ ওচৰত থকা আচেৰাৰ খুঁটি কাটি পেলাইছে।”
31 And Joash said unto all that stood against him: 'Will ye contend for Baal? or will ye save him? he that will contend for him, shall be put to death before morning; if he be a god, let him contend for himself, because one hath broken down his altar.'
৩১তেতিয়া যোৱাচে তেওঁৰ বিৰুদ্ধে থিয় হৈ থকা লোকসকলক ক’লে, “আপোনালোকেই বাল-দেৱতাৰ হৈ ওকালতি কৰিব নেকি? আপোনালোকেই তেওঁক ৰক্ষা কৰিব নেকি? যদি কোনোৱে তেওঁৰ হৈ বিবাদ কৰে, তেওঁক কালি ৰাতিপুৱা হোৱাৰ আগেয়ে প্ৰাণ দণ্ড দিয়া হওঁক; বাল যদি সঁচাই দেৱতা হয়, তেন্তে কোনোবাই যদি তেওঁৰ বেদী ভাঙিছে, তেওঁ নিজেই নিজৰ পক্ষে ওকালতি কৰক।”
32 Therefore on that day he was called Jerubbaal, saying: 'Let Baal contend against him, because he hath broken down his altar.'
৩২এই হেতুকে, সেইদিনা গিদিয়োনৰ নাম দিয়া হ’ল “যিৰুব্বাল”; গিদিয়োনে বালৰ বেদী ভঙাৰ কাৰণে যোৱাচে ক’লে, “গিদিয়োনৰ বিপক্ষে বাল দেৱতাই নিজৰ পক্ষে বিবাদ কৰক।”
33 Now all the Midianites and the Amalekites and the children of the east assembled themselves together; and they passed over, and pitched in the valley of Jezreel.
৩৩পাছত সকলো মিদিয়োনীয়া, অমালেকীয়া, আৰু পুব দেশৰ লোকসকল একগোট হ’ল আৰু যর্দ্দন নদী পাৰ হৈ যিজ্ৰিয়েল উপত্যকাত ছাউনি পাতিলে।
34 But the spirit of the LORD clothed Gideon; and he blew a horn; and Abiezer was gathered together after him.
৩৪তেতিয়া গিদিয়োনক সহায় কৰিবলৈ যিহোৱাৰ আত্মাই তেওঁত স্থিতি ল’লে; গিদিয়োনে শিঙা বজাই অবীয়েজ্ৰীয়া ফৈদৰ লোকসকলক তেওঁৰ পাছত আহিবৰ কাৰণে বাহিৰলৈ মাতিলে।
35 And he sent messengers throughout all Manasseh; and they also were gathered together after him; and he sent messengers unto Asher, and unto Zebulun, and unto Naphtali; and they came up to meet them.
৩৫তেওঁ মনচিৰ সকলো ফাললৈ বার্তাবাহক পঠালে আৰু তেওঁলোককো তেওঁৰ পাছত আহিবলৈ মাতিলে। তেওঁ আচেৰ, জবূলূন, আৰু নপ্তালী ফৈদৰ লোকসকলোলৈও বার্তাবাহক পঠালে। তাতে তেওঁলোকে তেওঁলোকৰ সঙ্গী হ’বলৈ উঠি আহিল।
36 And Gideon said unto God: 'If Thou wilt save Israel by my hand, as Thou hast spoken,
৩৬তাৰ পাছত গিদিয়োনে ঈশ্বৰক ক’লে, “আপুনি কোৱাৰ দৰে যদি আপুনি মোৰ হাতেৰে ইস্ৰায়েলক উদ্ধাৰ কৰিবলৈ ইচ্ছা কৰিছে,
37 behold, I will put a fleece of wool on the threshing-floor; if there be dew on the fleece only, and it be dry upon all the ground, then shall I know that Thou wilt save Israel by my hand, as Thou hast spoken.'
৩৭তেন্তে চাওঁক, মই মৰণা মৰা খলাত মেৰ-ছাগৰ পৰা কটা নোমখিনি থ’ম; যদি অকল সেই নোমৰ ওপৰতে নিয়ৰ পৰে আৰু বাকী সকলো মাটি শুকানে থাকে, তেন্তে মই বুজিম যে আপুনি যিদৰে কৈছে, সেইদৰে আপুনি মোৰ হাতেৰে ইস্ৰায়েলক উদ্ধাৰ কৰিব।”
38 And it was so; for he rose up early on the morrow, and pressed the fleece together, and wrung dew out of the fleece, a bowlful of water.
৩৮পাছত সেইদৰেই ঘটিল; পিছদিনা পুৱাই উঠি গিদিয়োনে সেই নোম চেপিলে আৰু নোমৰ নিয়ৰৰ পৰা এবাতি পানী উলিয়ালে।
39 And Gideon said unto God: 'Let not Thine anger be kindled against me, and I will speak but this once: let me make trial, I pray Thee, but this once with the fleece; let it now be dry only upon the fleece, and upon all the ground let there be dew.'
৩৯তেতিয়া গিদিয়োনে ঈশ্বৰক ক’লে, “মোৰ ওপৰত আপুনি ক্ৰোধ নকৰিব। মোক আকৌ এবাৰ কথা ক’বলৈ দিয়ক। মই বিনয় কৰোঁ, এই নোমৰ সৈতে পুনৰ এবাৰ পৰীক্ষা কৰিবলৈ দিয়ক; এতিয়া অকল নোম শুকানে থাকক আৰু সকলো মাটিৰ ওপৰত নিয়ৰ পৰক”।
40 And God did so that night; for it was dry upon the fleece only, and there was dew on all the ground.
৪০পাছত ঈশ্বৰে সেই ৰাতিও তেনেদৰেই কৰিলে; কেৱল নোম শুকানে থাকিল, আৰু বাকী সকলো ঠাইতে নিয়ৰ পৰিল।
