Joshua 21

1 Then came near the heads of fathers' houses of the Levites unto Eleazar the priest, and unto Joshua the son of Nun, and unto the heads of fathers' houses of the tribes of the children of Israel;

ಲೇವಿ ಗೋತ್ರದ ಹಿರಿಯರು, ನೂನನ ಮಗನಾದ ಯೆಹೋಶುವನ ಬಳಿಗೂ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರ ಗೋತ್ರಗಳ ಹಿರಿಯರ ಬಳಿಗೂ ಯಾಜಕನಾದ ಎಲಿಯಾಜರನ ಬಳಿಗೂ ಬಂದರು.

2 and they spoke unto them at Shiloh in the land of Canaan, saying: 'The LORD commanded by the hand of Moses to give us cities to dwell in, with the open land thereabout for our cattle.'

ಅವರು ಕಾನಾನ್ ದೇಶದ ಶೀಲೋವಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ಸಂಧಿಸಿ, “ನಾವು ವಾಸವಾಗಿರುವ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳನ್ನು ನಮ್ಮ ಪಶುಗಳಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಅವುಗಳ ಉಪನಗರಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ನಮಗೆ ಕೊಡಬೇಕೆಂದು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಮೋಶೆಯ ಮುಖಾಂತರವಾಗಿ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ,” ಎಂದರು.

3 And the children of Israel gave unto the Levites out of their inheritance, according to the commandment of the LORD, these cities with the open land about them.

ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರು ತಮ್ಮ ಬಾಧ್ಯತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಲೇವಿಯರಿಗೆ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಆಜ್ಞೆಯ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳನ್ನೂ ಗೋಮಾಳಗಳನ್ನೂ ಕೊಟ್ಟರು. ಅವುಗಳ ವಿವರ:

4 And the lot came out for the families of the Kohathites; and the children of Aaron the priest, who were of the Levites, had by lot out of the tribe of Judah, and out of the tribe of the Simeonites, and out of the tribe of Benjamin, thirteen cities.

ಕೊಹಾತ್ಯರ ಗೋತ್ರಗಳಿಗೆ ಚೀಟು ಬಂದಾಗ ಲೇವಿಯರಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾಜಕನಾದ ಆರೋನನ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಯೆಹೂದದ ಗೋತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ, ಸಿಮೆಯೋನನ ಗೋತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ, ಬೆನ್ಯಾಮೀನನ ಗೋತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಹದಿಮೂರು ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳು ಚೀಟಿಯಿಂದ ದೊರಕಿದವು.

5 And the rest of the children of Kohath had by lot out of the families of the tribe of Ephraim, and out of the tribe of Dan, and out of the half-tribe of Manasseh, ten cities.

ಕೊಹಾತ್ಯರಿಗೆ ಎಫ್ರಾಯೀಮನ ಗೋತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ, ದಾನನ ಗೋತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ, ಮನಸ್ಸೆಯ ಅರ್ಧ ಗೋತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಹತ್ತು ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳು ಚೀಟಿಯಿಂದ ದೊರಕಿದವು.

6 And the children of Gershon had by lot out of the families of the tribe of Issachar, and out of the tribe of Asher, and out of the tribe of Naphtali, and out of the half-tribe of Manasseh in Bashan, thirteen cities.

ಗೇರ್ಷೋನ್ಯರಿಗೆ ಇಸ್ಸಾಕಾರನ ಗೋತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ, ಆಶೇರನ ಗೋತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ, ನಫ್ತಾಲಿಯ ಗೋತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ, ಬಾಷಾನಿನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಮನಸ್ಸೆಯ ಅರ್ಧ ಗೋತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಹದಿಮೂರು ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳು ಚೀಟಿಯಿಂದ ದೊರಕಿದವು.

7 The children of Merari according to their families had out of the tribe of Reuben, and out of the tribe of Gad, and out of the tribe of Zebulun, twelve cities.

ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಮೆರಾರೀಯರಿಗೆ ಅವರ ಕುಟುಂಬಗಳ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ರೂಬೇನನ ಗೋತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ, ಗಾದನ ಗೋತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ, ಜೆಬುಲೂನನ ಗೋತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಹನ್ನೆರಡು ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳು ದೊರಕಿದವು.

8 And the children of Israel gave by lot unto the Levites these cities with the open land about them, as the LORD commanded by the hand of Moses.

ಈ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಅವುಗಳಿಗೆ ಸೇರಿದ ಗೋಮಾಳಗಳನ್ನೂ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಮೋಶೆಯ ಮುಖಾಂತರ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದ ಪ್ರಕಾರ, ಲೇವಿಯರಿಗೆ ಚೀಟು ಹಾಕಿಕೊಟ್ಟರು.

9 And they gave out of the tribe of the children of Judah, and out of the tribe of the children of Simeon, these cities which are here mentioned by name.

ಅವರು ಯೆಹೂದನ ಗೋತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಸಿಮೆಯೋನನ ಗೋತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಕೆಲವು ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟರು.

10 And they were for the children of Aaron, of the families of the Kohathites, who were of the children of Levi; for theirs was the first lot.

ಲೇವಿಯರಿಗೆ ಮೊದಲನೆಯ ಚೀಟು ಬಿದ್ದ ಕಾರಣ, ಲೇವಿ ಗೋತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಸೇರಿದ ಕೊಹಾತ್ಯರಾದ ಆರೋನನ ಸಂತತಿಯರಿಗೆ ಯೆಹೂದ ಗೋತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ, ಸಿಮೆಯೋನನ ಗೋತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಕೂಡಲಾದ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳ ವಿವರ:

11 And they gave them Kiriath-arba, which Arba was the father of Anak — the same is Hebron — in the hill-country of Judah, with the open land round about it.

ಯೆಹೂದದ ಬೆಟ್ಟಗಳಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಅನಾಕನ ಪಿತೃವಾದ ಕಿರ್ಯತ್ ಅರ್ಬನ ಹೆಸರಿದ್ದ ಪಟ್ಟಣವಾದ ಹೆಬ್ರೋನನ್ನೂ, ಅದರ ಸುತ್ತಲಿರುವ ಗೋಮಾಳಗಳನ್ನೂ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟರು.

12 But the fields of the city, and the villages thereof, gave they to Caleb the son of Jephunneh for his possession.

ಆದರೆ ಆ ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಹೊಲಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಅದರ ಗ್ರಾಮಗಳನ್ನೂ ಯೆಫುನ್ನೆಯ ಮಗನಾದ ಕಾಲೇಬನಿಗೂ ಬಾಧ್ಯತೆಯಾಗಿ ಕೊಟ್ಟರು.

13 And unto the children of Aaron the priest they gave Hebron with the open land about it, the city of refuge for the manslayer, and Libnah with the open land about it;

ಹೀಗೆಯೇ ಯಾಜಕನಾದ ಆರೋನನ ವಂಶದವರಿಗೆ ಅಕಸ್ಮಾತ್ತಾಗಿ ಕೊಲೆ ಮಾಡಿದವನಿಗೆ ಆಶ್ರಯ ಪಟ್ಟಣವಾದ ಹೆಬ್ರೋನನ್ನೂ ಕೊಟ್ಟರು. ಲಿಬ್ನಾವನ್ನೂ

14 and Jattir with the open land about it, and Eshtemoa with the open land about it;

ಯತ್ತೀರನ್ನೂ ಎಷ್ಟೆಮೋವನ್ನೂ

15 and Holon with the open land about it, and Debir with the open land about it;

ಹೋಲೋನನ್ನೂ ದೆಬೀರನ್ನೂ

16 and Ain with the open land about it, and Juttah with the open land about it, and Beth-shemesh with the open land about it; nine cities out of those two tribes.

ಆಯಿನ್, ಯುಟ್ಟಾ, ಬೇತ್ ಷೆಮೆಷ್ ಎಂಬ ಆ ಎರಡು ಗೋತ್ರಗಳಿಂದ ಈ ಒಂಬತ್ತು ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳನ್ನು ಅವುಗಳ ಗೋಮಾಳ ಸಹಿತವಾಗಿ ಕೊಟ್ಟರು.

17 And out of the tribe of Benjamin, Gibeon with the open land about it, Geba with the open land about it;

ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಬೆನ್ಯಾಮೀನನ ಗೋತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಗಿಬ್ಯೋನನ್ನೂ ಗೆಬಾನನ್ನೂ

18 Anathoth with the open land about it, and Almon with the open land about it; four cities.

ಅನಾತೋತನ್ನೂ ಅಲ್ಮೋನನ್ನೂ ಹೀಗೆ ನಾಲ್ಕು ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳನ್ನು ಅವುಗಳ ಗೋಮಾಳ ಸಹಿತವಾಗಿ ಕೊಟ್ಟರು.

19 All the cities of the children of Aaron, the priests, were thirteen cities with the open land about them.

ಯಾಜಕನಾದ ಆರೋನನ ವಂಶದವರಿಗೆ ಒಟ್ಟು ಹದಿಮೂರು ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳೂ, ಅವುಗಳ ಗೋಮಾಳ ಸಹಿತವಾಗಿ ಕೊಡಲಾಯಿತು.

20 And the families of the children of Kohath, the Levites, even the rest of the children of Kohath, they had the cities of their lot out of the tribe of Ephraim.

ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಲೇವಿಯರಾದ ಕೊಹಾತ್ಯನ ಗೋತ್ರದ ಕುಟುಂಬದಲ್ಲಿ ಉಳಿದವರಿಗೆ ಎಫ್ರಾಯೀಮನ ಗೋತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಚೀಟಿಯಿಂದ ದೊರಕಿದ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳ ವಿವರ:

21 And they gave them Shechem with the open land about it in the hill-country of Ephraim, the city of refuge for the manslayer, and Gezer with the open land about it;

ಅಕಸ್ಮಾತ್ತಾಗಿ ಕೊಲೆ ಮಾಡಿದವನಿಗೆ ಆಶ್ರಯ ಪಟ್ಟಣವಾದ ಎಫ್ರಾಯೀಮನ ಬೆಟ್ಟಗಳಲ್ಲಿರುವ, ಶೆಕೆಮನ್ನೂ ಗೆಜೆರನ್ನೂ

22 and Kibzaim with the open land about it, and Beth-horon with the open land about it; four cities.

ಕಿಬ್‌ಚೈಮ್ ಮತ್ತು ಬೇತ್ ಹೋರೋನ್ ಹೀಗೆ ನಾಲ್ಕು ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳನ್ನು ಅವುಗಳ ಗೋಮಾಳ ಸಹಿತವಾಗಿ ಕೊಡಲಾಯಿತು.

23 And out of the tribe of Dan, Elteke with the open land about it, Gibbethon with the open land about it;

ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ದಾನ್ಯನ ಗೋತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ, ಎಲ್ತೆಕೇಯನ್ನೂ ಗಿಬ್ಬೆತೋನನ್ನೂ

24 Aijalon with the open land about it, Gath-rimmon with the open land about it; four cities.

ಅಯ್ಯಾಲೋನನ್ನೂ ಗತ್ ರಿಮ್ಮೋನನ್ನೂ ಹೀಗೆ ನಾಲ್ಕು ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳನ್ನು ಅವುಗಳ ಗೋಮಾಳ ಸಹಿತವಾಗಿ ಕೊಡಲಾಯಿತು.

25 And out of the half-tribe of Manasseh, Taanach with the open land about it, and Gath-rimmon with the open land about it; two cities.

ಮನಸ್ಸೆಯ ಅರ್ಧಗೋತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ, ತಾನಕನ್ನೂ ಗತ್ ರಿಮ್ಮೋನನ್ನೂ ಹೀಗೆ ಎರಡು ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳನ್ನು ಅವುಗಳ ಗೋಮಾಳ ಸಹಿತವಾಗಿ ಕೊಡಲಾಯಿತು.

26 All the cities of the families of the rest of the children of Kohath were ten with the open land about them.

ಹೀಗೆ ಉಳಿದಂಥ ಕೊಹಾತ್ಯನ ಗೋತ್ರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಹತ್ತು ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳೂ ಅವುಗಳ ಗೋಮಾಳ ಸಹಿತವಾಗಿ ಕೊಡಲಾಯಿತು.

27 And unto the children of Gershon, of the families of the Levites, out of the half-tribe of Manasseh they gave Golan in Bashan with the open land about it, the city of refuge for the manslayer; and Beeshterah with the open land about it; two cities.

ಲೇವಿ ಗೋತ್ರದ ಗೇರ್ಷೋನ್ಯರಿಗೆ ಮನಸ್ಸೆಯ ಅರ್ಧಗೋತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಕಸ್ಮಾತ್ತಾಗಿ ಕೊಲೆ ಮಾಡಿದವನಿಗೆ ಆಶ್ರಯ ಪಟ್ಟಣವಾದ ಬಾಷಾನಿನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಗೋಲಾನನ್ನೂ ಬೆಯೆಷ್ಟೆರಾವನ್ನೂ ಹೀಗೆ ಎರಡು ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳನ್ನು ಅವುಗಳ ಗೋಮಾಳ ಸಹಿತವಾಗಿ ಕೊಡಲಾಯಿತು.

28 And out of the tribe of Issachar, Kishion with the open land about it, Dobrath with the open land about it;

ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಇಸ್ಸಾಕಾರನ ಗೋತ್ರದ ಸೊತ್ತಿನಿಂದ ಕಿಷ್ಯೋನನ್ನೂ ದಾಬೆರತನ್ನೂ

29 Jarmuth with the open land about it, En-gannim with the open land about it; four cities.

ಯರ್ಮೂತ್ ಮತ್ತು ಏಂಗನ್ನೀಮನ್ನೂ ಹೀಗೆ ನಾಲ್ಕು ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳನ್ನು ಅವುಗಳ ಗೋಮಾಳ ಸಹಿತವಾಗಿ ಕೊಡಲಾಯಿತು.

30 And out of the tribe of Asher, Mishal with the open land about it, Abdon with the open land about it;

ಆಶೇರನ ಗೋತ್ರದ ಸೊತ್ತಿನಿಂದ ಮಿಷಾಲನ್ನೂ, ಅಬ್ದೋನನ್ನೂ

31 Helkath with the open land about it, and Rehob with the open land about it; four cities.

ಹೆಲ್ಕತನ್ನೂ ರೆಹೋಬನ್ನೂ ಹೀಗೆ ನಾಲ್ಕು ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳನ್ನು ಅವುಗಳ ಗೋಮಾಳ ಸಹಿತವಾಗಿ ಕೊಡಲಾಯಿತು.

32 And out of the tribe of Naphtali, Kedesh in Galilee with the open land about it, the city of refuge for the manslayer, and Hammoth-dor with the open land about it, and Kartan with the open land about it; three cities.

ನಫ್ತಾಲಿಯ ಗೋತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಕಸ್ಮಾತ್ತಾಗಿ ಕೊಲೆ ಮಾಡಿದವನಿಗೆ ಆಶ್ರಯ ಪಟ್ಟಣವಾದ ಗಲಿಲಾಯದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಕೆದೆಷನ್ನೂ ಹಮ್ಮೋತ್ ದೋರನ್ನೂ ಕರ್ತಾನನ್ನೂ ಹೀಗೆ ಮೂರು ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳನ್ನು ಅವುಗಳ ಗೋಮಾಳ ಸಹಿತವಾಗಿ ಕೊಡಲಾಯಿತು.

33 All the cities of the Gershonites according to their families were thirteen cities with the open land about them.

ಗೇರ್ಷೋನ್ಯರಿಗೆ ಅವರ ಕುಟುಂಬಗಳ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಹದಿಮೂರು ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳೂ ಅವುಗಳ ಗೋಮಾಳ ಸಹಿತವಾಗಿ ಕೊಡಲಾಯಿತು.

34 And unto the families of the children of Merari, the rest of the Levites, out of the tribe of Zebulun, Jokneam with the open land about it, and Kartah with the open land about it;

ಉಳಿದ ಲೇವಿಯರಾದ ಮೆರಾರೀಯ ಕುಟುಂಬಗಳಿಗೆ ಜೆಬುಲೂನನ ಗೋತ್ರದ ಸೊತ್ತಿನಿಂದ ಯೊಕ್ನೆಯಾಮ್, ಕರ್ತಾ,

35 Dimnah with the open land about it, Nahalal with the open land about it; four cities.

ದಿಮ್ನಾ, ನಹಲಾಲ್, ಹೀಗೆ ನಾಲ್ಕು ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳನ್ನು ಅವುಗಳ ಗೋಮಾಳ ಸಹಿತವಾಗಿ ಕೊಡಲಾಯಿತು.

36 And out of the tribe of Reuben, Bezer with the open land about it, and Jahaz with the open land about it;

ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ರೂಬೇನನ ಗೋತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಚೆರನ್ನೂ ಯಹಚವನ್ನೂ

37 Kedemoth with the open land about it, and Mephaath with the open land about it; four cities.

ಕೆದೇಮೋತನ್ನೂ ಮೇಫಾತನ್ನೂ ಹೀಗೆ ನಾಲ್ಕು ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳನ್ನು ಅವುಗಳ ಗೋಮಾಳ ಸಹಿತವಾಗಿ ಕೊಡಲಾಯಿತು.

38 And out of the tribe of Gad, Ramoth in Gilead with the open land about it, the city of refuge for the manslayer, and Mahanaim with the open land about it;

ಗಾದ್ಯರ ಗೋತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ, ಅಕಸ್ಮಾತ್ತಾಗಿ ಕೊಲೆ ಮಾಡಿದವನಿಗೆ ಆಶ್ರಯ ಪಟ್ಟಣವಾದ ಗಿಲ್ಯಾದಿನ ರಾಮೋತನ್ನೂ, ಮಹನಯಿಮನ್ನೂ,

39 Heshbon with the open land about it, Jazer with the open land about it; four cities in all.

ಹೆಷ್ಬೋನನ್ನೂ ಯಜ್ಜೇರನ್ನೂ ಹೀಗೆ ನಾಲ್ಕು ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳನ್ನು ಅವುಗಳ ಗೋಮಾಳ ಸಹಿತವಾಗಿ ಕೊಡಲಾಯಿತು.

40 All these were the cities of the children of Merari according to their families, even the rest of the families of the Levites; and their lot was twelve cities.

ಹೀಗೆಯೇ ಲೇವಿ ಗೋತ್ರದ ಉಳಿದಂಥ ಮೆರಾರೀಯರ ಕುಟುಂಬಗಳ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಚೀಟಿಯಿಂದ ದೊರೆತ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳು ಹನ್ನೆರಡು.

41 All the cities of the Levites — forty and eight cities with the open land about them — shall be in the midst of the possession of the children of Israel,

ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರ ನಡುವೆ ಲೇವಿಯರಿಗೆ ಒಟ್ಟು ನಾಲ್ವತ್ತೆಂಟು ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳು ಅವುಗಳ ಗೋಮಾಳ ಸಹಿತವಾಗಿ ದೊರಕಿದವು.

42 even these cities, every one with the open land round about it; thus it shall be with all these cities.

ಈ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳ ಸುತ್ತಲೂ ಪ್ರತಿ ಒಂದಕ್ಕೂ ಗೋಮಾಳಗಳಿದ್ದವು. ಎಲ್ಲ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳಿಗೂ ಹೀಗೆಯೇ ಇದ್ದವು.

43 So the LORD gave unto Israel all the land which He swore to give unto their fathers; and they possessed it, and dwelt therein.

ಈ ರೀತಿಯಾಗಿ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಅವರ ಪಿತೃಗಳಿಗೆ ಕೊಡುವೆನೆಂದು ಆಣೆಯಿಟ್ಟ ದೇಶವನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟರು. ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರು ಅದನ್ನು ಸ್ವಾಧೀನಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು, ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸವಾಗಿದ್ದರು.

44 And the LORD gave them rest round about, according to all that He swore unto their fathers; and there stood not a man of all their enemies against them; the LORD delivered all their enemies into their hand.

ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಅವರ ತಂದೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಆಣೆಯಿಟ್ಟ ಪ್ರಕಾರವೇ ಅವರ ಸುತ್ತಲೂ ಅವರಿಗೆ ವಿಶ್ರಾಂತಿಕೊಟ್ಟರು. ಅವರ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಶತ್ರುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನಾದರೂ ಅವರ ಮುಂದೆ ನಿಲ್ಲಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಅವರ ಶತ್ರುಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಅವರ ಕೈಗಳಿಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿದರು.

45 There failed not aught of any good thing which the LORD had spoken unto the house of Israel; all came to pass.

ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದ ಅತಿ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠವಾಗ್ದಾನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದಾದರೂ ಬಿದ್ದು ಹೋಗಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಎಲ್ಲಾ ನೆರವೇರಿದವು.
