Job 39

1 Knowest thou the time when the wild goats of the rock bring forth? Or canst thou mark when the hinds do calve?

۱ «آیا وقت زاییدن بز کوهی را می‌دانی؟ یا زمان وضع حمل آهو را نشان می‌دهی؟

2 Canst thou number the months that they fulfil? Or knowest thou the time when they bring forth?

۲ آیا ماههایی را که کامل می‌سازندحساب توانی کرد؟ یا زمان زاییدن آنهارامی دانی؟

3 They bow themselves, they bring forth their young, they cast out their fruit.

۳ خم شده، بچه های خود را می‌زایند واز دردهای خود فارغ می‌شوند.

4 Their young ones wax strong, they grow up in the open field; they go forth, and return not again.

۴ بچه های آنهاقوی شده، در بیابان نمو می‌کنند، می‌روند و نزدآنها برنمی گردند.

5 Who hath sent out the wild ass free? Or who hath loosed the bands of the wild ass?

۵ کیست که خر وحشی را رهاکرده، آزاد ساخت. و کیست که بندهای گورخر راباز نمود.

6 Whose house I have made the wilderness, and the salt land his dwelling-place.

۶ که من بیابان را خانه او ساختم، وشوره زار را مسکن او گردانیدم.

7 He scorneth the tumult of the city, neither heareth he the shoutings of the driver.

۷ به غوغای شهراستهزاء می‌کند و خروش رمه بان را گوش نمی گیرد.

8 The range of the mountains is his pasture, and he searcheth after every green thing.

۸ دایره کوهها چراگاه او است و هرگونه سبزه را می‌طلبد.

9 Will the wild-ox be willing to serve thee? Or will he abide by thy crib?

۹ آیا گاو وحشی راضی شود که تو را خدمت نماید، یا نزد آخور تو منزل گیرد؟

10 Canst thou bind the wild-ox with his band in the furrow? Or will he harrow the valleys after thee?

۱۰ آیا گاو وحشی را به ریسمانش به شیار توانی بست؟ یا وادیها را از عقب تو مازو خواهد نمود؟

11 Wilt thou trust him, because his strength is great? Or wilt thou leave thy labour to him?

۱۱ آیا از اینکه قوتش عظیم است بر او اعتمادخواهی کرد؟ و کار خود را به او حواله خواهی نمود؟

12 Wilt thou rely on him, that he will bring home thy seed, and gather the corn of thy threshing-floor?

۱۲ آیا براو توکل خواهی کرد که محصولت را باز آورد و آن را به خرمنگاهت جمع کند؟

13 The wing of the ostrich beateth joyously; but are her pinions and feathers the kindly stork's?

۱۳ «بال شترمرغ به شادی متحرک می‌شود واما پر و بال او مثل لقلق نیست.

14 For she leaveth her eggs on the earth, and warmeth them in dust,

۱۴ زیرا که تخمهای خود را به زمین وامی گذارد و بر روی خاک آنها را گرم می‌کند

15 And forgetteth that the foot may crush them, or that the wild beast may trample them.

۱۵ و فراموش می‌کند که پا آنها را می‌افشرد، و وحوش صحرا آنها راپایمال می‌کنند.

16 She is hardened against her young ones, as if they were not hers; though her labour be in vain, she is without fear;

۱۶ با بچه های خود سختی می کند که گویا از آن او نیستند، محنت او باطل است و متاسف نمی شود.

17 Because God hath deprived her of wisdom, neither hath He imparted to her understanding.

۱۷ زیرا خدا او را ازحکمت محروم ساخته، و از فطانت او را نصیبی نداده است.

18 When the time cometh, she raiseth her wings on high, and scorneth the horse and his rider.

۱۸ هنگامی که به بلندی پرواز می‌کنداسب و سوارش را استهزا می‌نماید.

19 Hast thou given the horse his strength? Hast thou clothed his neck with fierceness?

۱۹ «آیا تو اسب را قوت داده و گردن او را به یال ملبس گردانیده‌ای؟

20 Hast thou made him to leap as a locust? The glory of his snorting is terrible.

۲۰ آیا او را مثل ملخ به جست وخیز آورده‌ای؟ خروش شیهه او مهیب است.

21 He paweth in the valley, and rejoiceth in his strength; he goeth out to meet the clash of arms.

۲۱ در وادی پا زده، از قوت خود وجدمی نماید و به مقابله مسلحان بیرون می‌رود.

22 He mocketh at fear, and is not affrighted; neither turneth he back from the sword.

۲۲ برخوف استهزاء کرده، هراسان نمی شود، و از دم شمشیر برنمی گردد.

23 The quiver rattleth upon him, the glittering spear and the javelin.

۲۳ ترکش بر او چکچک می‌کند، و نیزه درخشنده و مزراق

24 He swalloweth the ground with storm and rage; neither believeth he that it is the voice of the horn.

۲۴ با خشم وغیض زمین را می‌نوردد. و چون کرنا صدا می‌کندنمی ایستد،

25 As oft as he heareth the horn he saith: 'Ha, ha!' and he smelleth the battle afar off, the thunder of the captains, and the shouting.

۲۵ وقتی که کرنا نواخته شود هه هه می‌گوید و جنگ را از دور استشمام می‌کند، وخروش سرداران و غوغا را.

26 Doth the hawk soar by thy wisdom, and stretch her wings toward the south?

۲۶ آیا از حکمت توشاهین می‌پرد؟ و بالهای خود را بطرف جنوب پهن می‌کند؟

27 Doth the vulture mount up at thy command, and make her nest on high?

۲۷ آیا از فرمان تو عقاب صعودمی نماید و آشیانه خود را به‌جای بلند می‌سازد؟

28 She dwelleth and abideth on the rock, upon the crag of the rock, and the stronghold.

۲۸ بر صخره ساکن شده، ماوا می‌سازد. بر صخره تیز و بر ملاذ منیع.

29 From thence she spieth out the prey; her eyes behold it afar off.

۲۹ از آنجا خوراک خود را به نظر می‌آورد و چشمانش از دور می‌نگرد.

30 Her young ones also suck up blood; and where the slain are, there is she.

۳۰ بچه هایش خون را می‌مکند و جایی که کشتگانند او آنجا است.»
