Job 33
1 Howbeit, Job, I pray thee, hear my speech, and hearken to all my words.
१“ईयोब, मी तुला विनंती करतो, माझे बोलने ऐक. माझे सर्व शब्दांकडे लक्ष दे.
2 Behold now, I have opened my mouth, my tongue hath spoken in my mouth.
२पाहा, मी आता बोलायला माझे मुख उघडले आहे, माझी जीभ माझ्या तोंडात हालू लागली आहे.
3 My words shall utter the uprightness of my heart; and that which my lips know they shall speak sincerely.
३माझे शब्दच माझ्या अंत: करणाचे प्रामाणिकपण सांगतील, माझ्या ओठांना जे माहीती आहे, तेच ते प्रामाणिकपणे बोलतील.
4 The spirit of God hath made me, and the breath of the Almighty given me life.
४देवाच्या आत्म्याने मला निर्माण केले आहे, मला सर्वशक्तिमान देवाच्या श्वासाद्ववारे जीवन मिळाले आहे.
5 If thou canst, answer thou me, set thy words in order before me, stand forth.
५तुला शक्य झाले तर मला उत्तर दे, माझ्याशी वाद घालण्याकरता तुझी उत्तरे तयार ठेव.
6 Behold, I am toward God even as thou art; I also am formed out of the clay.
६पाहा, देवासमोर मी आणि तू सारखेच आहोत, मलाही माती पासून उत्पन्न केले आहे.
7 Behold, my terror shall not make thee afraid, neither shall my pressure be heavy upon thee.
७पाहा, माझी दरारा तुला घाबरवणार नाही, माझा दाब तुला जड होणार नाही.
8 Surely thou hast spoken in my hearing, and I have heard the voice of thy words;
८तू जे बोललास ते मी निश्चित ऐकले, मी तुझ्या शब्दांचा आवाज असे म्हणतांना ऐकला,
9 'I am clean, without transgression, I am innocent, neither is there iniquity in me;
९‘मी शुध्द आहे, मी निरपराध आहे, मी काहीही चूक केली नाही मी निर्दोष आहे, आणि माझ्यामध्ये पाप नाही.
10 Behold, He findeth occasions against me, He counteth me for His enemy;
१०पाहा, देव माझ्यावर हल्ला करण्याची संधी पाहतो देवाने मला शत्रूप्रमाणे वागवले आहे.
11 He putteth my feet in the stocks, He marketh all my paths.'
११देवाने माझ्या पायला साखळदंड बांधले देव माझी प्रत्येक हालचाल बघतो.’
12 Behold, I answer thee: In this thou art not right, that God is too great for man;
१२पाहा, मी तुला उत्तर देईल तू या बाबतीत चुकतो आहेस, देव कोणत्याही मनुष्यापेक्षा महान आहे.
13 Why hast thou striven against Him? seeing that He will not answer any of his words.
१३तू त्याच्याशी का वाद घालत आहेस? तो आपल्या कोणत्याही करणीचे कारण सांगत नाही.
14 For God speaketh in one way, yea in two, though man perceiveth it not.
१४देव एकदा बोलतो, होय दोनदा बोलतो, तरी मनुष्य त्याकडे लक्ष देत नाही.
15 In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falleth upon men, in slumberings upon the bed;
१५देव लोकांशी रात्री ते गाढ झोपेत असताना स्वप्नात किंवा दृष्टांतात बोलत असेल, जेव्हा मनुष्य गाढ झोपेत असतो.
16 Then He openeth the ears of men, and by their chastisement sealeth the decree,
१६नंतर देव मनुष्याची कानउघडणी करतो, आणि त्याच्या धमकीने घाबरवितो.
17 That men may put away their purpose, and that He may hide pride from man;
१७मनुष्यास त्यांना पापाच्या हेतूपासून मागे ओढण्यासाठी, आणि गर्व न करण्याचेही सांगतो.
18 That He may keep back his soul from the pit, and his life from perishing by the sword.
१८देव गर्तेतून मनुष्याचे जीवन वाचवितो, त्याच्या जीवनाला मरणापासून वाचवितो.
19 He is chastened also with pain upon his bed, and all his bones grow stiff;
१९मनुष्याला केलेल्या शिक्षेमुळे अंथरुणात पडून दु: ख भोगत असेल वेदनेने त्याची सगळी हाडे तळमळतात.
20 So that his life maketh him to abhor bread, and his soul dainty food.
२०नंतर तो मनुष्य खाऊ शकत नाही चांगल्या अन्नाचासुध्दा त्यास तिरस्कार वाटतो.
21 His flesh is consumed away, that it cannot be seen; and his bones corrode to unsightliness.
२१त्याचे शरीर इतके क्षीण होते की तो जवळ जवळ दिसेनासा होतो. त्याची सगळी हाडे जी कधी दिसली नाही ती आता दिसतात.
22 Yea, his soul draweth near unto the pit, and his life to the destroyers.
२२खरोखर, तो मृत्यूलोकाजवळ येऊन ठेपतो आणि त्याचे जीवन मरणपंथाला लागलेले असते.
23 If there be for him an angel, an intercessor, one among a thousand, to vouch for a man's uprightness;
२३परंतू एखादा देवदूत जर त्याचा मध्यस्थ झाला, मध्यस्थ, हजारो देवदुतापैकी एक, त्यास चांगला मार्ग दाखवणारा.
24 Then He is gracious unto him, and saith: 'Deliver him from going down to the pit, I have found a ransom.'
२४आणि देवदूत त्याच्याशी दयेने वागेल, आणि देवाला सांगेल. ‘या मनुष्यास मृत्युलोकात जाण्यापासून वाचव त्याच्या पापाची किंमत मोजण्याचा दुसरा एक मार्ग मला सापडला आहे.’
25 His flesh is tenderer than a child's; he returneth to the days of his youth;
२५मग त्याचे शरीर पुन: बालकासारखे जोमदार बनेल. तो तरुणपणी जसा मजबूत होता तसाच पुन्हा होईल.
26 He prayeth unto God, and He is favourable unto him; so that he seeth His face with joy; and He restoreth unto man his righteousness.
२६तो देवाची प्रार्थना करेल आणि देव त्यास दया देईल. म्हणजे तो देवाचे मुख आनंदाने पाहील. नंतर तो मनुष्य पुन्हा चांगले जीवन जगायला लागेल.
27 He cometh before men, and saith: 'I have sinned, and perverted that which was right, and it profited me not.'
२७नंतर तो लोकांस कबुली देईल. तो म्हणेल, ‘मी पापकर्म केले. मी पाप केले चांगल्याचे वाईट केले. पंरतू माझ्या पापाला शिक्षा झाली नाही.
28 So He redeemeth his soul from going into the pit, and his life beholdeth the light.
२८त्याने माझ्या आत्म्याला मृत्युलोकात जाण्यापासून वाचवेल. माझ्या जीव नियमीत त्याचा प्रकाश पाहील.
29 Lo, all these things doth God work, twice, yea thrice, with a man,
२९पाहा, देव या गोष्टी मनुष्यासाठी करतो, दोनदा, होय तीनदा,
30 To bring back his soul from the pit, that he may be enlightened with the light of the living.
३०त्याच्या जीवाला मृत्युलोकात जाण्यापासून वाचवण्यासाठी असे करतो म्हणजे त्याचे जीवन प्रकाशाने प्रकाशीत होते.
31 Mark well, O Job, hearken unto me; hold thy peace, and I will speak.
३१ईयोबा, मी काय म्हणतो त्याकडे लक्ष दे. माझे ऐक! तू गप्प रहा आणि मला बोलू दे.
32 If thou hast any thing to say, answer me; speak, for I desire to justify thee.
३२पण ईयोबा, जर तुला माझे बोलणे पटत नसेल तर तू खुशाल बोल. मला तुझे मुद्दे सांग. कारण मला तुझे बोलणे सुधारायचे आहे.
33 If not, hearken thou unto me; hold thy peace, and I will teach thee wisdom.
३३परंतु ईयोबा, तुइयाजवळ बोलण्यासारखे काही नसेल तर माझे ऐक. तू गप्प रहा आणि मी तुला शहाणपण शिकवेन.”
