< Job 3 >
1 After this opened Job his mouth, and cursed his day.
Sima na yango, Yobo afungolaki monoko na ye mpe alakelaki mokolo ya mbotama na ye mabe.
2 And Job spoke, and said:
Yobo alobaki:
3 Let the day perish wherein I was born, and the night wherein it was said: 'A man-child is brought forth.'
« Tika ete mokolo ya mbotama na ngai, mpe butu oyo elobaki: ‹ Mwana mobali moko abotami, › ekufa!
4 Let that day be darkness; let not God inquire after it from above, neither let the light shine upon it.
Tika ete mokolo yango ebongwana molili! Tika ete, wuta na likolo, Nzambe akanisa yango lisusu te! Tika ete pole engengela yango lisusu te!
5 Let darkness and the shadow of death claim it for their own; let a cloud dwell upon it; let all that maketh black the day terrify it.
Tika ete molili mpe elilingi ya kufa ezingela yango! Tika ete lipata ezipa yango, mpe molili ebangisa pole na yango!
6 As for that night, let thick darkness seize upon it; let it not rejoice among the days of the year; let it not come into the number of the months.
Tika ete molili makasi ekotela butu yango, ete batanga yango lisusu te kati na mikolo ya mibu to kati na mikolo ya basanza!
7 Lo, let that night be desolate; let no joyful voice come therein.
Tika ete butu yango etikala ekomba, ete koganga moko te ya esengo eyokana na butu yango!
8 Let them curse it that curse the day, who are ready to rouse up leviathan.
Tika ete bato oyo balakelaka mikolo mabe, bato oyo balamusaka bilima minene ya mayi, balakela yango mabe!
9 Let the stars of the twilight thereof be dark; let it look for light, but have none; neither let it behold the eyelids of the morning;
Tika ete minzoto ya tongo na yango ekoma molili, ezela na pamba tongo oyo ekotana mpe emona kongenga ya tongo te.
10 Because it shut not up the doors of my mother's womb, nor hid trouble from mine eyes.
Pamba te ekangelaki ngai te bikuke ya libumu ya mama na ngai mpo na kobombela miso na ngai pasi ya boye!
11 Why died I not from the womb? Why did I not perish at birth?
Mpo na nini namikufelaki te kati na libumu ya mama na ngai? Mpo na nini nakataki motema te tango nabimaki na libumu ya mama na ngai?
12 Why did the knees receive me? And wherefore the breasts, that I should suck?
Mpo na nini mabolongo eyambaki ngai? Mpo na nini mama amelisaki ngai mabele?
13 For now should I have lain still and been quiet; I should have slept; then had I been at rest —
Pamba te sik’oyo, nalingaki na ngai kolala na kimia, nalingaki na ngai kokufa mpe kopema
14 With kings and counsellors of the earth, who built up waste places for themselves;
elongo na bakonzi mpe bapesi toli ya mokili, oyo bamitongelaki malita na bango kasi lelo ebeba,
15 Or with princes that had gold, who filled their houses with silver;
elongo na bakambi oyo bazalaki na wolo mpe batondisa palata kati na bandako na bango.
16 Or as a hidden untimely birth I had not been; as infants that never saw light.
Mpo na nini babombaki ngai te na se ya mabele lokola zemi oyo esopani to lokola mwana oyo atikala komona te pole ya mokolo?
17 There the wicked cease from troubling; and there the weary are at rest.
Kuna, bato mabe batikaka konyokola bato, bato oyo balembi bazwaka bopemi,
18 There the prisoners are at ease together; they hear not the voice of the taskmaster.
bato ya boloko bazwaka kimia mpe bayokaka lisusu te mongongo ya mokengeli.
19 The small and great are there alike; and the servant is free from his master.
Ezala mobola to mozwi, bango mibale bazalaka kuna, mpe mowumbu akangolamaka na maboko ya nkolo na ye.
20 Wherewith is light given to him that is in misery, and life unto the bitter in soul —
Mpo na nini pole epesamelaka bato ya pasi? Mpo na nini bomoi epesamelaka moto oyo azali na pasi na motema?
21 Who long for death, but it cometh not; and dig for it more than for hid treasures;
Bazelaka kufa, kasi eyaka te; nzokande balukaka yango koleka bozwi oyo ebombama,
22 Who rejoice unto exultation, and are glad, when they can find the grave? —
balingaki kotonda na esengo mpe kosepela soki bamoni kunda!
23 To a man whose way is hid, and whom God hath hedged in?
Mpo na nini bomoi epesamela moto oyo nzela na ye ebombama, moto oyo Nzambe azingela lokola lopango?
24 For my sighing cometh instead of my food, and my roarings are poured out like water.
Pamba te kolela ekomi bilei na ngai, bileli na ngai ezali kosopana lokola mayi.
25 For the thing which I did fear is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of hath overtaken me.
Makambo oyo nazalaki kobanga, yango nde ezali kokomela ngai; oyo nazalaki koyokela somo, yango nde ezali kosalemela ngai.
26 I was not at ease, neither was I quiet, neither had I rest; but trouble came.
Nazangi kimia, motema na ngai ezali kokita te mpe nazangi bopemi; kasi minyoko na minyoko kaka nde nazali na yango. »
