Job 28
1 For there is a mine for silver, and a place for gold which they refine.
Sigurado gayod nga adunay minahan sa plata, ang dapit diin nila ginalunsay ang bulawan.
2 Iron is taken out of the dust, and brass is molten out of the stone.
Ginakuha ang puthaw gikan sa yuta; Pulpogon nila ang bato ug tunawon aron mogawas ang tumbaga gikan sa bato.
3 Man setteth an end to darkness, and searcheth out to the furthest bound the stones of thick darkness and of the shadow of death.
Ang tawo modala ug suga sa ngitngit nga dapit ug magapangita, sa kinalayoan nga kinutoban, ang mga bato sa hilit ug baga nga kangitngit.
4 He breaketh open a shaft away from where men sojourn; they are forgotten of the foot that passeth by; they hang afar from men, they swing to and fro.
Giablihan niya ang sigpit nga lungag layo sa puy-anan sa mga tawo, dapit nga wala matultoli ni bisan kinsang tiil. Magkumbitay siya layo gikan sa mga tawo; nagalabyog siya padulong ug pabalik.
5 As for the earth, out of it cometh bread, and underneath it is turned up as it were by fire.
Alang sa yuta, gikan niini ang tinapay, apan ingon nga gibaliktad kini pinaagi sa kalayo.
6 The stones thereof are the place of sapphires, and it hath dust of gold.
Sa mga bato niini ang dapit kung asa makita ang safiro, ug ang abog niini adunay bulawan.
7 That path no bird of prey knoweth, neither hath the falcon's eye seen it;
Walay dumadagit nga langgam ang nasayod niini nga dalan, ni wala kini nakita sa mata sa banog.
8 The proud beasts have not trodden it, nor hath the lion passed thereby.
Ang magarbohon nga mga mananap wala nilakaw niini nga dalan, ni ang bangis nga liyon wala nakaagi didto.
9 He putteth forth his hand upon the flinty rock; He overturneth the mountains by the roots.
Gigunitan sa tawo ang gahi nga bato; gilintuwad niya ang mga bukid hangtod sa mga gamot.
10 He cutteth out channels among the rocks; and his eye seeth every precious thing.
Nagkalot siyag kanal taliwala sa mga bato; ang iyang mga mata nakakita sa mga bililhong mga butang didto.
11 He bindeth the streams that they trickle not; and the thing that is hid bringeth he forth to light.
Sampongan niya ang mga tubod aron nga dili kini makaagas; kung unsa ang nakatago didto dalahon niya sa kahayag.
12 But wisdom, where shall it be found? And where is the place of understanding?
Asa man makaplagan ang kaalam? Asa man ang dapit sa panabot?
13 Man knoweth not the price thereof; neither is it found in the land of the living.
Wala nasayod ang tawo sa kantidad niini; ni makita kini sa yuta sa mga buhi.
14 The deep saith: 'It is not in me'; and the sea saith: 'It is not with me.'
Ang lawom nga mga tubig ilalom sa yuta moingon, 'Wala kini kanako'; ang dagat moingon, 'Wala kini uban kanako.'
15 It cannot be gotten for gold, neither shall silver be weighed for the price thereof.
Dili kini makuha pinaagi sa bulawan; ni ang plata timbangon aron mahimong makatupong sa kantidad niini.
16 It cannot be valued with the gold of Ophir, with the precious onyx, or the sapphire.
Dili kini bililhon uban ang bulawan sa Ophir, uban ang bililhon nga onyx o safiro.
17 Gold and glass cannot equal it; neither shall the exchange thereof be vessels of fine gold.
Ang bulawan ug kristal dili makatupong sa bili niini; ni ibaylo kini alang sa mga alahas nga hinimo sa lunsay nga bulawan.
18 No mention shall be made of coral or of crystal; yea, the price of wisdom is above rubies.
Wala pa naingon ang kabililhon sa mga coral o haspe; sa pagkatinuod, ang kantidad sa kaalam labaw pa kay sa mga rubi.
19 The topaz of Ethiopia shall not equal it, neither shall it be valued with pure gold.
Ang topaz sa Ethiopia wala nakatandi niini; ni kini mahimong sama ka bililhon sa lunsay nga bulawan.
20 Whence then cometh wisdom? And where is the place of understanding?
Asa man gikan ang kaalam? Asa man ang dapit sa panabot?
21 Seeing it is hid from the eyes of all living, and kept close from the fowls of the air.
Ang kaalam dili makita sa mga mata sa tanang buhing butang ug dili makita sa mga langgam sa kalangitan.
22 Destruction and Death say: 'We have heard a rumor thereof with our ears.'
Ang Pagkaguba ug Kamatayon moingon, 'Nadungog namo ang hungihong mahitungod niini sa among mga dalunggan.'
23 God understandeth the way thereof, and He knoweth the place thereof.
Nakasabot ang Dios niini nga paagi; nakakita siya niini nga dapit.
24 For He looketh to the ends of the earth, and seeth under the whole heaven;
Kay siya nagtan-aw sa kinatumyan sa yuta ug nakakita ang tanan nga anaa sa ilalom sa kalangitan.
25 When He maketh a weight for the wind, and meteth out the waters by measure.
Kaniadto, gihimo niya ang hangin ug gibahinbahin ang katubigan pinaagi sa taksanan.
26 When He made a decree for the rain, and a way for the storm of thunders;
Naghimo siya ug balaod sa mga ulan ug agianan sa kilat ug dalugdog.
27 Then did He see it, and declare it; He established it, yea, and searched it out.
Unya nakita niya ang kaalam ug nagpasayod niini; gipahiluna niya kini, tinuod, ug gisuta niya kini.
28 And unto man He said: 'Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom; and to depart from evil is understanding.'
Miingon siya ngadto sa mga tawo, 'Tan-awa, ang kahadlok sa Ginoo—mao ang kaalam; ang pagpahilayo sa daotan mao ang panabot.”
