Job 25

1 Then answered Bildad the Shuhite, and said:

Silloin vastasi Bildad Suasta ja sanoi:

2 Dominion and fear are with Him; He maketh peace in His high places.

Hallitus ja pelko on hänen tykönänsä, joka tekee rauhan korkeittensa seassa.

3 Is there any number of His armies? And upon whom doth not His light arise?

Kuka voi lukea hänen joukkonsa? ja kenen päälle ei paista hänen valkeutensa?

4 How then can man be just with God? Or how can he be clean that is born of a woman?

Kuinka on ihminen hurskas Jumalan edessä? eli kuinka vaimon lapsi on puhdas?

5 Behold, even the moon hath no brightness, and the stars are not pure in His sight;

Katso, kuu ei valaise vielä, eikä tähdet ole vielä kirkkaat hänen silmäinsä edessä:

6 How much less man, that is a worm! and the son of man, that is a maggot!

Kuinka paljo vähemmin ihminen, se mato, ja ihmisen lapsi se toukka?
