Job 24
1 Why are times not laid up by the Almighty? And why do not they that know Him see His days?
କାହିଁକି ସର୍ବଶକ୍ତିମାନଙ୍କ ଦ୍ୱାରା ସମୟ ନିରୂପିତ ହୋଇ ନାହିଁ ଓ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଜାଣିବା ଲୋକମାନେ କାହିଁକି ତାହାଙ୍କ ଦିନ ଦେଖନ୍ତି ନାହିଁ?
2 There are that remove the landmarks; they violently take away flocks, and feed them.
କେହି କେହି ଭୂମିର ସୀମାଚିହ୍ନ ଘୁଞ୍ଚାନ୍ତି, ସେମାନେ ବଳରେ ମେଷପଲ ହରଣ କରି ଚରାନ୍ତି।
3 They drive away the ass of the fatherless, they take the widow's ox for a pledge.
ସେମାନେ ପିତୃହୀନର ଗର୍ଦ୍ଦଭ ଅଡ଼ାଇ ନିଅନ୍ତି, ବିଧବାର ଗୋରୁ ବନ୍ଧକ ରୂପେ ନିଅନ୍ତି।
4 They turn the needy out of the way; the poor of the earth hide themselves together.
ସେମାନେ ଦୀନହୀନକୁ ବାଟରୁ ତଡ଼ି ଦିଅନ୍ତି; ଦେଶସ୍ଥ ଦରିଦ୍ରମାନେ ଏକତ୍ର ଲୁଚନ୍ତି।
5 Behold, as wild asses in the wilderness they go forth to their work, seeking diligently for food; the desert yieldeth them bread for their children.
ଦେଖ, ସେମାନେ ପ୍ରାନ୍ତରସ୍ଥ ବନ୍ୟ ଗର୍ଦ୍ଦଭ ତୁଲ୍ୟ ଆପଣା ଆପଣା କାର୍ଯ୍ୟରେ ବାହାରି ଯତ୍ନପୂର୍ବକ ଆହାର ଅନ୍ଵେଷଣ କରନ୍ତି; ଅରଣ୍ୟ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ବାଳକଗଣ ନିମନ୍ତେ ଆହାର ଉତ୍ପନ୍ନ କରେ।
6 They cut his provender in the field; and they despoil the vineyard of the wicked.
ସେମାନେ କ୍ଷେତ୍ରରେ ଆପଣାମାନଙ୍କ ଖାଦ୍ୟ କାଟନ୍ତି ଓ ଦୁଷ୍ଟର ଦ୍ରାକ୍ଷାକ୍ଷେତ୍ରର ଅବଶିଷ୍ଟ ଫଳ ସାଉଣ୍ଟନ୍ତି।
7 They lie all night naked without clothing, and have no covering in the cold.
ସେମାନେ ସାରାରାତ୍ରି ବସ୍ତ୍ର ବିନା ଉଲଙ୍ଗ ହୋଇ ଶୟନ କରନ୍ତି ଓ ଶୀତକାଳରେ ସେମାନଙ୍କର ଆଚ୍ଛାଦନ ବସ୍ତ୍ର ନ ଥାଏ।
8 They are wet with the showers of the mountains, and embrace the rock for want of a shelter.
ସେମାନେ ପର୍ବତରେ ବୃଷ୍ଟିରେ ତିନ୍ତନ୍ତି, ପୁଣି ଆଶ୍ରୟ ଅଭାବରୁ ଶୈଳରେ ଶରଣ ନିଅନ୍ତି।
9 There are that pluck the fatherless from the breast, and take a pledge of the poor;
କେହି କେହି ପିତୃହୀନକୁ ମାତୃସ୍ତନରୁ ଛଡ଼ାଇ ନିଅନ୍ତି ଓ ଦରିଦ୍ରଠାରୁ ବନ୍ଧକ ନିଅନ୍ତି;
10 So that they go about naked without clothing, and being hungry they carry the sheaves;
ଏହେତୁ ସେମାନେ ବସ୍ତ୍ର ବିନା ଉଲଙ୍ଗ ହୋଇ ବୁଲନ୍ତି ଓ କ୍ଷୁଧିତ ହୋଇ ଶସ୍ୟବିଡ଼ା ବହନ୍ତି;
11 They make oil within the rows of these men; they tread their winepresses, and suffer thirst.
ସେମାନେ ଏହି ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରାଚୀର ଭିତରେ ତୈଳ ପ୍ରସ୍ତୁତ କରନ୍ତି ଓ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଦ୍ରାକ୍ଷାଯନ୍ତ୍ର ଦଳି ତୃଷିତ ହୁଅନ୍ତି।
12 From out of the populous city men groan, and the soul of the wounded crieth out; yet God imputeth it not for unseemliness.
ଜନପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ନଗରରୁ ଲୋକେ କାତରୋକ୍ତି କରନ୍ତି, ଆହତ ଲୋକର ପ୍ରାଣ ଡାକ ପକାଏ; ତଥାପି ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ଏହା ଦୋଷ ରୂପେ ଗଣନା କରନ୍ତି ନାହିଁ।
13 These are of them that rebel against the light; they know not the ways thereof, nor abide in the paths thereof.
ସେମାନଙ୍କର କେହି କେହି ଆଲୁଅର ବିଦ୍ରୋହୀ; ତହିଁର ମାର୍ଗ ସେମାନେ ଜାଣନ୍ତି ନାହିଁ, ଅବା ତହିଁର ପଥରେ ରହନ୍ତି ନାହିଁ।
14 The murderer riseth with the light, to kill the poor and needy; and in the night he is as a thief.
ହତ୍ୟାକାରୀ ପ୍ରଭାତ ସମୟରେ ଉଠି ଦରିଦ୍ର ଓ ଦୀନହୀନକୁ ବଧ କରେ ଓ ରାତ୍ରିରେ ସେ ଚୋର ପରି ହୁଏ।
15 The eye also of the adulterer waiteth for the twilight, saying: 'No eye shall see me'; and he putteth a covering on his face.
ପାରଦାରିକର ଚକ୍ଷୁ ମଧ୍ୟ ସନ୍ଧ୍ୟାକାଳର ଅପେକ୍ଷା କରି କହେ, କେହି ମୋତେ ଦେଖିବ ନାହିଁ ଓ ସେ ଆପଣା ମୁଖ ଅନ୍ୟ ରୂପ କରେ।
16 In the dark they dig through houses; they shut themselves up in the day-time; they know not the light.
ସେମାନେ ଅନ୍ଧକାରରେ ଗୃହ ସିନ୍ଧି କରନ୍ତି; ସେମାନେ ଦିନ ବେଳେ ଲୁଚି ରହନ୍ତି, ସେମାନେ ଆଲୁଅ ଜାଣନ୍ତି ନାହିଁ।
17 For the shadow of death is to all of them as the morning; for they know the terrors of the shadow of death.
କାରଣ ସେସମସ୍ତଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି ପ୍ରଭାତ ମୃତ୍ୟୁଚ୍ଛାୟା ପରି ଅଟେ; ସେମାନେ ମୃତ୍ୟୁୁଚ୍ଛାୟାର ଭୟାନକତା ଜାଣନ୍ତି।”
18 He is swift upon the face of the waters; their portion is cursed in the earth; he turneth not by the way of the vineyards.
“ସେ ଜଳ ଉପରେ ଶୀଘ୍ରଗାମୀ; ଦେଶରେ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଅଧିକାର ଅଭିଶପ୍ତ ଅଟେ; ସେ ଦ୍ରାକ୍ଷାକ୍ଷେତ୍ରର ପଥ ଆଡ଼କୁ ଫେରେ ନାହିଁ।
19 Drought and heat consume the snow waters; so doth the nether-world those that have sinned. (Sheol h7585)
ଯେପରି ଅନାବୃଷ୍ଟି ଓ ଗ୍ରୀଷ୍ମ ହିମଜଳକୁ, ସେପରି ପାତାଳ ପାପୀମାନଙ୍କୁ ନଷ୍ଟ କରେ। (Sheol h7585)
20 The womb forgetteth him; the worm feedeth sweetly on him; he shall be no more remembered; and unrighteousness is broken as a tree.
ଗର୍ଭ ତାହାକୁ ପାସୋରି ଯିବ; କୀଟ ସୁସ୍ୱାଦୁ ଭକ୍ଷ୍ୟ ପରି ତାହାକୁ ଖାଇବ, ସେ ଆଉ ସ୍ମରଣ କରାଯିବ ନାହିଁ; ପୁଣି, ଅଧର୍ମ ବୃକ୍ଷ ପରି ଭଙ୍ଗାଯିବ।
21 He devoureth the barren that beareth not; and doeth not good to the widow.
ସେ ନିଃସନ୍ତାନା ବନ୍ଧ୍ୟାକୁ ଗ୍ରାସ କରେ ଓ ବିଧବାର ମଙ୍ଗଳ କରେ ନାହିଁ।
22 He draweth away the mighty also by his power; he riseth up, and he trusteth not his own life.
ସେ ଆପଣା ଶକ୍ତିରେ ବିକ୍ରମୀ ଲୋକକୁ ମଧ୍ୟ ଟାଣି ପକାଏ, ସେ ଉଠିଲେ କାହାରି ଜୀବନର ସ୍ଥିରତା ନ ଥାଏ।
23 Though it be given him to be in safety, whereon he resteth, yet His eyes are upon their ways.
ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ନିରାପଦରେ ରହିବାକୁ ଦିଅନ୍ତି ଓ ସେମାନେ ତହିଁରେ ନିର୍ଭର ରଖନ୍ତି ଓ ତାହାଙ୍କ ଦୃଷ୍ଟି ସେମାନଙ୍କ ମାର୍ଗରେ ଥାଏ।
24 They are exalted for a little while, and they are gone; yea, they are brought low, they are gathered in as all others, and wither as the tops of the ears of corn.
ସେମାନେ ଉନ୍ନତ ହୁଅନ୍ତି; ତଥାପି ଅଳ୍ପ କାଳରେ ଅନ୍ତର୍ହିତ ହୁଅନ୍ତି; ହଁ, ସେମାନେ ଅବନତ ହୁଅନ୍ତି, ସେମାନେ ଅନ୍ୟ ସମସ୍ତଙ୍କ ପରି ପଥରୁ ଘେନାଯାʼନ୍ତି, ଆଉ ଶସ୍ୟଶିଁଷାର ଅଗ୍ରଭାଗ ପରି କଟାଯାʼନ୍ତି।
25 And if it be not so now, who will prove me a liar, and make my speech nothing worth?
ପୁଣି, ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନ ଯଦି ଏପରି ନ ହୁଏ, ତେବେ କିଏ ଆମ୍ଭକୁ ମିଥ୍ୟାବାଦୀ ବୋଲି ପ୍ରମାଣ କରିବ ଓ ଆମ୍ଭ କଥାକୁ ନିରର୍ଥକ କରିବ?”
