Job 14

1 Man that is born of a woman is of few days, and full of trouble.

൧സ്ത്രീ പ്രസവിച്ച മനുഷ്യൻ അല്പായുസ്സുള്ളവനും കഷ്ടസമ്പൂർണ്ണനും ആകുന്നു.

2 He cometh forth like a flower, and withereth; he fleeth also as a shadow, and continueth not.

൨അവൻ പൂപോലെ വിടർന്ന് പൊഴിഞ്ഞുപോകുന്നു; നിലനില്‍ക്കാതെ നിഴൽപോലെ ഓടിപ്പോകുന്നു.

3 And dost Thou open Thine eyes upon such a one, and bringest me into judgment with Thee?

൩അവന്റെ നേരെയോ തൃക്കണ്ണ് മിഴിക്കുന്നത്? എന്നെയോ അങ്ങ് ന്യായവിസ്താരത്തിലേക്ക് വരുത്തുന്നത്?

4 Who can bring a clean thing out of an unclean? not one.

൪അശുദ്ധനിൽനിന്ന് ജനിച്ച വിശുദ്ധൻ ഉണ്ടോ? ഒരുത്തനുമില്ല.

5 Seeing his days are determined, the number of his months is with Thee, and Thou hast appointed his bounds that he cannot pass;

൫അങ്ങയുടെ ജീവകാലത്തിന് അവധി ഉണ്ടല്ലോ; അവന്റെ മാസങ്ങളുടെ എണ്ണം അങ്ങയുടെ പക്കൽ; അവന് ലംഘിച്ചുകൂടാത്ത അതിര് അവിടുന്ന് വച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു

6 Look away from him, that he may rest, till he shall accomplish, as a hireling, his day.

൬അവൻ ഒരു കൂലിക്കാരനെപ്പോലെ വിശ്രമിച്ച് തന്റെ ദിവസത്തിൽ തൃപ്തിപ്പെടേണ്ടതിന് അങ്ങയുടെ നോട്ടം അവനിൽനിന്ന് മാറ്റിക്കൊള്ളണമേ.

7 For there is hope of a tree, if it be cut down, that it will sprout again, and that the tender branch thereof will not cease.

൭ഒരു വൃക്ഷമായിരുന്നാൽ പ്രത്യാശയുണ്ട്; അതിനെ വെട്ടിയാൽ പിന്നെയും പൊട്ടിക്കിളിർക്കും; അതിന് ഇളങ്കൊമ്പുകൾ വിടർന്നുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കും.

8 Though the root thereof wax old in the earth, and the stock thereof die in the ground;

൮അതിന്റെ വേര് നിലത്ത് പഴകിയാലും അതിന്റെ കുറ്റി മണ്ണിൽ ഉണങ്ങിപ്പോയാലും

9 Yet through the scent of water it will bud, and put forth boughs like a plant.

൯വെള്ളത്തിന്റെ ഗന്ധംകൊണ്ട് അത് കിളിർക്കും ഒരു തൈപോലെ ശാഖ പുറപ്പെടും.

10 But man dieth, and lieth low; yea, man perisheth, and where is he?

൧൦മനുഷ്യൻ മരിച്ചാൽ ദ്രവിച്ചുപോകുന്നു; മനുഷ്യൻ പ്രാണനെ വിട്ടാൽ പിന്നെ അവൻ എവിടെ?

11 As the waters fail from the sea, and the river is drained dry;

൧൧സമുദ്രത്തിലെ വെള്ളം പോയ്പോകുമ്പോലെയും നദി വറ്റി ഉണങ്ങിപ്പോകുമ്പോലെയും

12 So man lieth down and riseth not; till the heavens be no more, they shall not awake, nor be roused out of their sleep.

൧൨മനുഷ്യൻ കിടന്നിട്ട് എഴുന്നേല്ക്കുന്നില്ല; ആകാശം ഇല്ലാതെയാകുംവരെ അവർ ഉണരുന്നില്ല; ഉറക്കത്തിൽനിന്ന് എഴുന്നേല്ക്കുന്നതുമില്ല;

13 Oh that Thou wouldest hide me in the nether-world, that Thou wouldest keep me secret, until Thy wrath be past, that Thou wouldest appoint me a set time, and remember me! — (Sheol h7585)

൧൩അങ്ങ് എന്നെ പാതാളത്തിൽ മറച്ചുവയ്ക്കുകയും അവിടുത്തെ കോപം കഴിയുവോളം എന്നെ ഒളിപ്പിക്കുകയും എനിക്ക് ഒരവധി നിശ്ചയിച്ച് എന്നെ ഓർക്കുകയും ചെയ്തുവെങ്കിൽ കൊള്ളാമായിരുന്നു. (Sheol h7585)

14 If a man die, may he live again? All the days of my service would I wait, till my relief should come —

൧൪മനുഷ്യൻ മരിച്ചാൽ വീണ്ടും ജീവിക്കുമോ? എന്നാൽ എനിക്ക് മാറ്റം വരുവോളം എന്റെ യുദ്ധകാലമെല്ലാം കാത്തിരിക്കാമായിരുന്നു.

15 Thou wouldest call, and I would answer Thee; Thou wouldest have a desire to the work of Thy hands.

൧൫അങ്ങ് വിളിക്കും; ഞാൻ അവിടുത്തോട് ഉത്തരം പറയും; അങ്ങയുടെ കൈവേലയോട് അങ്ങയ്ക്ക് താത്പര്യമുണ്ടാകും.

16 But now Thou numberest my steps, Thou dost not even wait for my sin;

൧൬ഇപ്പോഴോ അവിടുന്ന് എന്റെ കാലടികളെ എണ്ണുന്നു; എന്റെ പാപത്തിന്മേൽ അങ്ങ് ദൃഷ്ടിവക്കുന്നില്ലയോ?

17 My transgression is sealed up in a bag, and Thou heapest up mine iniquity.

൧൭എന്റെ അതിക്രമം ഒരു സഞ്ചിയിലാക്കി മുദ്രയിട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ അകൃത്യം അങ്ങ് മറച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

18 And surely the mountain falling crumbleth away, and the rock is removed out of its place;

൧൮മലപോലും വീണു പൊടിയുന്നു; പാറയും സ്ഥലം വിട്ട് മാറിപ്പോകുന്നു.

19 The waters wear the stones; the overflowings thereof wash away the dust of the earth; so Thou destroyest the hope of man.

൧൯വെള്ളം കല്ലുകളെ തേയുമാറാക്കുന്നതും അതിന്റെ പ്രവാഹം നിലത്തെ പൊടി ഒഴുക്കിക്കളയുന്നതു പോലെ അങ്ങ് മനുഷ്യന്റെ പ്രത്യാശയെ നശിപ്പിക്കുന്നു.

20 Thou prevailest for ever against him, and he passeth; Thou changest his countenance, and sendest him away.

൨൦അങ്ങ് എപ്പോഴും അവനെ ആക്രമിച്ചിട്ട് അവൻ കടന്നുപോകുന്നു; അവിടുന്ന് അവന്റെ മുഖം വിരൂപമാക്കി അവനെ അയച്ചുകളയുന്നു.

21 His sons come to honour, and he knoweth it not; and they are brought low, but he regardeth them not.

൨൧അവന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർക്ക് ബഹുമാനം ലഭിക്കുന്നത് അവൻ അറിയുന്നില്ല; അവർക്ക് താഴ്ച ഭവിക്കുന്നത് അവൻ ഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നതുമില്ല.

22 But his flesh grieveth for him, and his soul mourneth over him.

൨൨തന്നെപ്പറ്റി മാത്രം അവന്റെ ദേഹം വേദനപ്പെടുന്നു; തന്നെക്കുറിച്ചത്രേ അവന്റെ ഉള്ളം ദുഃഖിക്കുന്നു”.
