Job 11
1 Then answered Zophar the Naamathite, and said:
Entonces Zofar el Naamatita respondió y dijo:
2 Should not the multitude of words be answered? And should a man full of talk be accounted right?
¿Todas estas palabras quedan sin respuesta? ¿Un hombre tiene razón porque está lleno de palabras?
3 Thy boastings have made men hold their peace, and thou hast mocked, with none to make thee ashamed;
¿Son tus palabras de orgullo para callar a los hombres? ¿Y que nadie puede contestar a tus burlas, sin que nadie te avergüence?
4 And thou hast said: 'My doctrine is pure, and I am clean in Thine eyes.'
Puedes decir: Mi camino es limpio, y estoy libre de pecado en tus ojos.
5 But oh that God would speak, and open His lips against thee;
Pero si solo Dios tomara la palabra, abriera sus labios para discutir contigo;
6 And that He would tell thee the secrets of wisdom, that sound wisdom is manifold! Know therefore that God exacteth of thee less than thine iniquity deserveth.
¡Y te dejaría en claro los secretos de la sabiduría y las maravillas de su propósito y que no te ha castigado de acuerdo a tu iniquidad!
7 Canst thou find out the deep things of God? Canst thou attain unto the purpose of the Almighty?
¿Crees que investigando vas a encontrar la perfección en Dios, que vas descubrir los límites del Dios Todopoderoso?
8 It is high as heaven; what canst thou do? Deeper than the nether-world; what canst thou know? (Sheol h7585)
Que puedes hacer, son más altos que el cielo; más profundo que él sepulcro, como lo conocerás; (Sheol h7585)
9 The measure thereof is longer than the earth, and broader than the sea.
Más largos en medida que la tierra, y más anchos que el mar.
10 If He pass by, and shut up, or gather in, then who can hinder Him?
Si él se atraviesa, aprisiona o congrega, ¿quién puede impedírselo?
11 For He knoweth base men; and when He seeth iniquity, will He not then consider it?
Porque él sabe que los hombres son vanos; Él ve el mal y toma nota.
12 But an empty man will get understanding, when a wild ass's colt is born a man.
Y así, un hombre vano obtendrá sabiduría, cuando él pollino de un asno salvaje nazca hombre.
13 If thou set thy heart aright, and stretch out thy hands toward Him —
He aquí sí tu corazón está firme, extiende tus manos hacia él;
14 If iniquity be in thy hand, put it far away, and let not unrighteousness dwell in thy tents —
Si apartas el mal de tus manos y no dejas que el mal tenga lugar en tu casa;
15 Surely then shalt thou lift up thy face without spot; yea, thou shalt be stedfast, and shalt not fear;
Entonces verdaderamente tu rostro será levantado, sin ninguna marca de pecado, y estarás firme en tu lugar sin temor:
16 For thou shalt forget thy misery; thou shalt remember it as waters that are passed away;
Porque tu dolor saldrá de tu memoria, como las aguas que fluyen:
17 And thy life shall be clearer than the noonday; though there be darkness, it shall be as the morning.
Y tu vida será más brillante que el día; aunque esté oscuro, se volverá como la mañana.
18 And thou shalt be secure, because there is hope; yea, thou shalt look about thee, and shalt take thy rest in safety.
Y estarás confiado porque hay esperanza; después de mirar alrededor, confiadamente tomarás tu descanso;
19 Also thou shalt lie down, and none shall make thee afraid; yea, many shall make suit unto thee.
Durmiendo sin temor al peligro; y los hombres desearán tener gracia en tus ojos;
20 But the eyes of the wicked shall fail, and they shall have no way to flee, and their hope shall be the drooping of the soul.
Pero los ojos de los malvados se acabarán; no encontrarán refugio, y su única esperanza es la muerte.
