Job 11
1 Then answered Zophar the Naamathite, and said:
੧ਤਦ ਸੋਫ਼ਰ ਨਅਮਾਤੀ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਕੀ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਦਾ ਵਧੀਕ ਉੱਤਰ ਨਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾਵੇ?
2 Should not the multitude of words be answered? And should a man full of talk be accounted right?
੨ਕੀ ਬਕਵਾਸੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਧਰਮੀ ਠਹਿਰਾਇਆ ਜਾਵੇ?
3 Thy boastings have made men hold their peace, and thou hast mocked, with none to make thee ashamed;
੩ਕੀ ਤੇਰੀਆਂ ਗੱਪਾਂ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਚੁੱਪ ਕਰਾ ਸਕਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ? ਜਦ ਤੂੰ ਮਖ਼ੌਲ ਕਰੇ ਤਾਂ ਕੀ ਕੋਈ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਰਮਿੰਦਾ ਨਾ ਕਰੇ?
4 And thou hast said: 'My doctrine is pure, and I am clean in Thine eyes.'
੪ਤੂੰ ਤਾਂ ਕਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈਂ, ਮੇਰੀ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ੁੱਧ ਹਾਂ।
5 But oh that God would speak, and open His lips against thee;
੫ਕਾਸ਼ ਕਿ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਆਪ ਬੋਲੇ, ਅਤੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਆਪਣਾ ਮੂੰਹ ਖੋਲ੍ਹੇ,
6 And that He would tell thee the secrets of wisdom, that sound wisdom is manifold! Know therefore that God exacteth of thee less than thine iniquity deserveth.
੬ਅਤੇ ਬੁੱਧ ਦੇ ਭੇਤ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਦੱਸੇ! ਉਹ ਤਾਂ ਸਮਝ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਹੁ-ਗੁਣਾ ਹੈ, ਤੂੰ ਜਾਣ ਲੈ ਕਿ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਤੇਰੇ ਦੋਸ਼ ਦੇ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
7 Canst thou find out the deep things of God? Canst thou attain unto the purpose of the Almighty?
੭“ਕੀ ਤੂੰ ਖੋਜ ਕਰਕੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਭੇਤ ਲੱਭ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈਂ, ਜਾਂ ਸਰਬ ਸ਼ਕਤੀਮਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਪੂਰਨਤਾਈ ਤੱਕ ਪਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈਂ?
8 It is high as heaven; what canst thou do? Deeper than the nether-world; what canst thou know? (Sheol h7585)
੮ਉਹ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਤੋਂ ਉੱਚਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਪਤਾਲ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਵੀ ਡੂੰਘਾ ਹੈ, ਤੂੰ ਕੀ ਕਰ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈਂ? (Sheol h7585)
9 The measure thereof is longer than the earth, and broader than the sea.
੯ਉਸ ਦਾ ਨਾਪ ਧਰਤੀ ਤੋਂ ਵੀ ਤੋਂ ਲੰਮਾ, ਅਤੇ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਵੀ ਚੌੜਾ ਹੈ।
10 If He pass by, and shut up, or gather in, then who can hinder Him?
੧੦“ਜੇਕਰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਦੀ ਲੰਘ ਕੇ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗ਼ੁਲਾਮ ਬਣਾ ਲਵੇ, ਅਤੇ ਨਿਆਂ ਲਈ ਬੁਲਾਵੇ, ਤਾਂ ਕੌਣ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਰੋਕ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ?
11 For He knoweth base men; and when He seeth iniquity, will He not then consider it?
੧੧ਉਹ ਤਾਂ ਨਿਕੰਮੇ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਦੇ ਭੇਦ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਕੀ ਉਹ ਬਦੀ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਉੱਤੇ ਧਿਆਨ ਨਾ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ।
12 But an empty man will get understanding, when a wild ass's colt is born a man.
੧੨ਜਦ ਜੰਗਲੀ ਗਧੇ ਦਾ ਬੱਚਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਜੰਮੇ ਤਦ ਹੀ ਮੂਰਖ ਨੂੰ ਬੁੱਧੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ ।
13 If thou set thy heart aright, and stretch out thy hands toward Him —
੧੩“ਜੇ ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਦਿਲ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਧਾਰੇਂ, ਅਤੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੱਥ ਅੱਡੇਂ,
14 If iniquity be in thy hand, put it far away, and let not unrighteousness dwell in thy tents —
੧੪ਜੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਹੱਥ ਵਿੱਚ ਜੋ ਬਦੀ ਹੋਵੇ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਦੂਰ ਕਰੇਂ, ਅਤੇ ਬੁਰਿਆਈ ਤੇਰੇ ਤੰਬੂ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਾ ਵੱਸੇ,
15 Surely then shalt thou lift up thy face without spot; yea, thou shalt be stedfast, and shalt not fear;
੧੫ਤਦ ਤੂੰ ਜ਼ਰੂਰ ਆਪਣਾ ਮੂੰਹ ਬੇਦਾਗ਼ ਚੁੱਕੇਂਗਾ, ਅਤੇ ਸਥਿਰ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਕਦੇ ਨਾ ਡਰੇਂਗਾ।
16 For thou shalt forget thy misery; thou shalt remember it as waters that are passed away;
੧੬ਤੂੰ ਤਾਂ ਆਪਣਾ ਕਸ਼ਟ ਭੁੱਲ ਜਾਵੇਂਗਾ, ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਲੰਘ ਗਏ ਪਾਣੀ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਕਰੇਂਗਾ,
17 And thy life shall be clearer than the noonday; though there be darkness, it shall be as the morning.
੧੭ਅਤੇ ਤੇਰਾ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੁਪਹਿਰ ਤੋਂ ਵੀ ਤੇਜਵਾਨ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ, ਹਨ੍ਹੇਰਾ ਸਵੇਰ ਦੇ ਚਾਨਣ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ।
18 And thou shalt be secure, because there is hope; yea, thou shalt look about thee, and shalt take thy rest in safety.
੧੮ਤੂੰ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਅਤ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਆਸ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ ਅਤੇ ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਚੁਫ਼ੇਰੇ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਲੇਟੇਂਗਾ।
19 Also thou shalt lie down, and none shall make thee afraid; yea, many shall make suit unto thee.
੧੯ਜਦ ਤੂੰ ਲੰਮਾ ਪਵੇਂਗਾ ਤਾਂ ਕੋਈ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਡਰਾਵੇਗਾ, ਅਤੇ ਬਹੁਤੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਵੱਲ ਤੱਕਣਗੇ।
20 But the eyes of the wicked shall fail, and they shall have no way to flee, and their hope shall be the drooping of the soul.
੨੦ਪਰ ਦੁਸ਼ਟਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਧੁੰਦਲੀਆਂ ਪੈ ਜਾਣਗੀਆਂ, ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਬਚਾਓ ਦਾ ਕੋਈ ਸਥਾਨ ਨਾ ਬਚੇਗਾ, ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਣ ਤਿਆਗਣਾ ਹੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਆਸ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ!”
