Jeremiah 48
1 Of Moab. Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel: Woe unto Nebo! for it is spoiled; Kiriathaim is put to shame, it is taken; Misgab is put to shame and dismayed.
萬軍のヱホバ、イスラエルの神モアブの事につきてかくいひたまふ嗚呼ネボは禍なるかな是滅されたりキリヤタイムは辱められて取られミスガブは辱められて毀たる
2 The praise of Moab is no more; in Heshbon they have devised evil against her: 'Come, and let us cut her off from being a nation.' Thou also, O Madmen, shalt be brought to silence; the sword shall pursue thee.
モアブの榮譽は失さりぬヘシボンにて人衆モアブの害を謀り去來之を絕ちて國をなさざらしめんといふマデメンよ汝は滅されん劍汝を追はん
3 Hark! a cry from Horonaim, spoiling and great destruction!
ホロナイムより號咷の聲きこゆ毀敗と大なる滅亡あり
4 Moab is destroyed; her little ones have caused a cry to be heard.
モアブ滅されてその嬰孩等の號咷聞ゆ
5 For by the ascent of Luhith with continual weeping shall they go up; for in the going down of Horonaim they have heard the distressing cry of destruction.
彼らは哭き哭きてルヒテの坂を登る敵はホロナイムの下り路にて滅亡の號咷をきけり
6 Flee, save your lives, and be like a tamarisk in the wilderness.
逃て汝らの生命を救へ曠野に棄られたる者の如くなれ
7 For, because thou hast trusted in thy works and in thy treasures, thou also shalt be taken; and Chemosh shall go forth into captivity, his priests and his princes together.
汝は汝の工作と財寶を賴むによりて汝も執へられん又ケモシは其祭司およびその牧伯等と偕に擄へうつさるべし
8 And the spoiler shall come upon every city, and no city shall escape; the valley also shall perish, and the plain shall be destroyed; as the LORD hath spoken.
殘害者諸の邑に來らん一の邑も免れざるべし谷は滅され平地は荒されんヱホバのいひたまひしがごとし
9 Give wings unto Moab, for she must fly and get away; and her cities shall become a desolation, without any to dwell therein.
翼をモアブに予へて飛さらしむ其諸邑は荒て住者なからん
10 Cursed be he that doeth the work of the LORD with a slack hand, and cursed be he that keepeth back his sword from blood.
ヱホバの事を行ふて怠る者は詛はれ又その劍をおさへて血を流さざる者は詛はる
11 Moab hath been at ease from his youth, and he hath settled on his lees, and hath not been emptied from vessel to vessel, neither hath he gone into captivity; therefore his taste remaineth in him, and his scent is not changed.
モアブはその幼時より安然にして酒の其滓のうへにとざまりて此器よりかの器に斟うつされざるが如くなりき彼擄うつされざりしに由て其味尚存ちその香氣變らざるなり
12 Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will send unto him them that tilt up, and they shall tilt him up; and they shall empty his vessels, and break their bottles in pieces.
ヱホバいひたまふ此故にわがこれを傾くる者を遣はす日來らん彼らすなはち之を傾け其器をあけ其罇を碎くべし
13 And Moab shall be ashamed of Chemosh, as the house of Israel was ashamed of Beth-el their confidence.
モアブはケモシのために羞をとらん是イスラエルの家がその恃めるところのベテルのために羞をとりしが如くなるべし
14 How say ye: 'We are mighty men, and valiant men for the war'?
汝ら何ぞ我らは勇士なり強き軍人なりといふや
15 Moab is spoiled, and they are gone up into her cities, and his chosen young men are gone down to the slaughter, saith the King, whose name is the LORD of hosts.
モアブはほろぼされその諸邑は騰りその選擇の壯者は下りて殺さる萬軍のヱホバと名る王これをいひ給ふ
16 The calamity of Moab is near to come, and his affliction hasteth fast.
モアブの滅亡近けりその禍速に來る
17 Bemoan him, all ye that are round about him, and all ye that know his name; say: 'How is the strong staff broken, the beautiful rod!'
凡そ其四周にある者よ彼のために歎けその名を知る者よ強き竿美しき杖いかにして折しやといへ
18 O thou daughter that dwellest in Dibon, come down from thy glory, and sit in thirst; for the spoiler of Moab is come up against thee, he hath destroyed thy strongholds.
デボンに住る女よ榮をはなれて下り燥ける地に坐せよモアブを敗る者汝にきたりて汝の城を滅さん
19 O inhabitant of Aroer, stand by the way, and watch; ask him that fleeth, and her that escapeth; say: 'What hath been done?'
アロエルに住る婦よ道の側にたちて闥ひ逃きたる者と脱れいたる者に事いかんと問へ
20 Moab is put to shame, for it is dismayed; wail and cry; tell ye it in Arnon, that Moab is spoiled.
モアブは敗られて羞をとる汝ら呼はり咷びモアブは滅されたりとアルノンに告よ
21 And judgment is come upon the country of the Plain; upon Holon, and upon Jahzah, and upon Mephaath;
鞫災平地に臨みホロン、ヤハヅ、メパアテ
22 and upon Dibon, and upon Nebo, and upon Beth-diblathaim;
デボン、ネボ、ベテデブラタイム
23 and upon Kiriathaim, and upon Beth-gamul, and upon Beth-meon;
キリヤタイム、ベテガムル、ベテメオン
24 and upon Kerioth, and upon Bozrah, and upon all the cities of the land of Moab, far or near.
ケリオテ、ボズラ、モアブの地の諸邑の遠き者にも近き者にも臨めり
25 The horn of Moab is cut off, and his arm is broken, saith the LORD.
モアブの角は碎け其臂は折たりとヱホバいひたまふ
26 Make ye him drunken, for he magnified himself against the LORD; and Moab shall wallow in his vomit, and he also shall be in derision.
汝らモアブを醉はしめよ彼ヱホバにむかひて驕傲ればなりモアブは其吐たる物に轉びて笑柄とならん
27 For was not Israel a derision unto thee? Was he found among thieves? For as often as thou speakest of him, thou waggest the head.
イスラエルは汝の笑柄にあらざりしや彼盜人の中にありしや汝彼の事を語るごとに首を搖たり
28 O ye that dwell in Moab, leave the cities, and dwell in the rock; and be like the dove that maketh her nest in the sides of the pit's mouth.
モアブに住る者よ汝ら邑を離れて磐の間にすめ穴の口の側に巢を作る斑鳩の如くせよ
29 We have heard of the pride of Moab; he is very proud; his loftiness, and his pride, and his haughtiness, and the assumption of his heart.
われらモアブの驕傲をきけり其驕傲は甚だし即ち其驕慢矜高驕誇およびその心の自ら高くするを聞り
30 I know his arrogancy, saith the LORD, that it is ill-founded; his boastings have wrought nothing well-founded.
ヱホバいひたまふ我モアブの驕傲とその言の虛きとを知る彼らは僞を行ふなり
31 Therefore will I wail for Moab; yea, I will cry out for all Moab; for the men of Kir-heres shall my heart moan.
この故に我モアブの爲に咷びモアブの全地の爲に呼はるキルハレスの人々の爲に嗟歎あり
32 With more than the weeping of Jazer will I weep for thee, O vine of Sibmah; thy branches passed over the sea, they reached even to the sea of Jazer; upon thy summer fruits and upon thy vintage the spoiler is fallen.
シブマの葡萄の樹よわれヤゼルの哭泣にこえて汝の爲になげくべし汝の蔓は海を踰え延てヤゼルの海にまでいたる掠奪者來りて汝の果と葡萄をとらん
33 And gladness and joy is taken away from the fruitful field, and from the land of Moab; and I have caused wine to cease from the winepresses; none shall tread with shouting; the shouting shall be no shouting.
欣喜と歡樂園とモアブの地をはなれ去る我酒醡に酒無からしめん呼はりて葡萄を踐もの無るべし其喚呼は葡萄をふむ喚呼にあらざらん
34 From the cry of Heshbon even unto Elealeh, even unto Jahaz have they uttered their voice, from Zoar even unto Horonaim, a heifer of three years old; for the Waters of Nimrim also shall be desolate.
ヘシボンよりエレアレとヤハヅにいたりゾアルよりホロナイムとエグラテシリシヤにいたるまで人聲を揚ぐそはニムリムの水までも絕たればなり
35 Moreover I will cause to cease in Moab, saith the LORD, him that offereth in the high place, and him that offereth to his gods.
ヱホバいひたまふ我祭物を崇邱に献げ香をその諸神に焚くところの者をモアブの中に滅さんと
36 Therefore my heart moaneth for Moab like pipes, and my heart moaneth like pipes for the men of Kir-heres; therefore the abundance that he hath gotten is perished.
この故に我心はモアブの爲に簫のごとく歎き我心はキルハレスの人衆のために蕭のごとく歎く是其獲たるところの財うせたればなり
37 For every head is bald, and every beard clipped; upon all the hands are cuttings, and upon the loins sackcloth.
人みなその髮を剃り皆その鬚をそり皆その手に傷け腰に麻布をまとはん
38 On all the housetops of Moab and in the broad places thereof there is lamentation every where; for I have broken Moab like a vessel wherein is no pleasure, saith the LORD.
モアブにては家蓋の上と街のうちに遍く悲哀ありそはわれ心に適ざる器のごとくにモアブを碎きたればなりとヱホバいひたまふ
39 'How is it broken down!' wail ye! 'How hath Moab turned the back with shame!' So shall Moab become a derision and a dismay to all that are round about him.
嗚呼モアブはほろびたり彼らは咷ぶ嗚呼モアブは羞て面を背けたりモアブはその四周の者の笑柄となり恐懼となれり
40 For thus saith the LORD: Behold, he shall swoop as a vulture, and shall spread out his wings against Moab.
ヱホバかくいひたまふ視よ敵鷲のごとくに飛來りて翼をモアブのうへに舒ん
41 The cities are taken, and the strongholds are seized, and the heart of the mighty men of Moab at that day shall be as the heart of a woman in her pangs.
ケリオテは取られ城はみな奪はるその日にはモアブの勇士の心子を產む婦のごとくになるべし
42 And Moab shall be destroyed from being a people, because he hath magnified himself against the LORD.
モアブはヱホバにむかひて傲りしゆゑに滅ぼされて再び國を成ざるべし
43 Terror, and the pit, and the trap, are upon thee, O inhabitant of Moab, saith the LORD.
ヱホバいひたまふモアブにすめる者よ恐怖と陷阱と罟汝に臨めり
44 He that fleeth from the terror shall fall into the pit; and he that getteth up out of the pit shall be taken in the trap; for I will bring upon her, even upon Moab, the year of their visitation, saith the LORD.
恐怖をさけて逃るものは陷阱におちいり陷阱より出るものは罟にとらへられん其はわれモアブにその罰をうくべき年をのぞましむればなりヱホバこれをいふ
45 In the shadow of Heshbon the fugitives stand without strength; for a fire is gone forth out of Heshbon, and a flame from the midst of Sihon, and it devoureth the corner of Moab, and the crown of the head of the tumultuous ones.
遁逃者は力なくしてヘシボンの蔭に立つ是は火ヘシボンより出で火焔シホンのうちより出てモアブの地および喧閙をなす者の首の頂を燒ばなり
46 Woe unto thee, O Moab! The people of Chemosh is undone; for thy sons are taken away captive, and thy daughters into captivity.
嗚呼禍なるかなモアブよケモシの民は亡びたり即ち汝の諸子は擄へうつされ汝の女等は執へゆかれたり
47 Yet will I turn the captivity of Moab in the end of days, saith the LORD. Thus far is the judgment of Moab.
然ど末の日に我モアブの擄移されたる者を返さんとヱホバいひ給ふ此まではモアブの鞫をいへる言なり
