< Jeremiah 47 >
1 The word of the LORD that came to Jeremiah the prophet concerning the Philistines, before that Pharaoh smote Gaza.
Ty tsara’ Iehovà niheo am’ Iirmeà mpitoky ty amo nte-Pilistio taolo’ ty nandafa’ i Parò i Azà.
2 Thus saith the LORD: Behold, waters rise up out of the north, and shall become an overflowing stream, and they shall overflow the land and all that is therein, the city and them that dwell therein; and the men shall cry, and all the inhabitants of the land shall wail.
Hoe t’Iehovà: Heheke t’ie hiongake boak’ avaratse eñe ty rano, hinjare torahañe manganahana, toe hampanginahina i taney naho handifotse ze hene ama’e naho i rovay naho o mpimoneñeo; hirovetse ondatio, vaho sindre hangololoike ty tañy ze mpimoneñe amy taney.
3 At the noise of the stamping of the hoofs of his strong ones, at the rushing of his chariots, at the rumbling of his wheels, the fathers look not back to their children for feebleness of hands;
Ami’ty kodoin-dian-kotro’ o maozatseo, ty fitrakotrako’ o sareteo, ty kodoikodoi’ o larò’eo le tsy mitolike mb’an-keleia’e o roae’eo, ie mavozo am-pitàñe;
4 Because of the day that cometh to spoil all the Philistines, to cut off from Tyre and Zidon every helper that remaineth; for the LORD will spoil the Philistines, the remnant of the isle of Caphtor.
Fa tondroke ty andro te fonga hampiantoañe o nte-Pilistio, ie hañitoa’e amy Tsore naho amy Tsidone ze mpañolotse sisa; amy te ho kopahe’ Iehovà o nte-Pilistio, naho ze sehanga’e an-tokonose’ i Kaftore.
5 Baldness is come upon Gaza, Ashkelon is brought to nought, the remnant of their valley; how long wilt thou cut thyself?
Hasolàñe ty nifetsak’ amy Azà; fa naitoañe ty Askelone. Ry honka’ i vavatane’ iereoy: ampara’ te ‘mbia ty handilindilia’o ty sandri’o?
6 O thou sword of the LORD, how long will it be ere thou be quiet? Put up thyself into thy scabbard, rest, and be still.
O ry fibara’ Iehovà, ampara’ te ombia vaho hitsiñe? miombea an-traño’o ao, mitofà, naho mihendrea.
7 How canst thou be quiet? for the LORD hath given it a charge; against Ashkelon, and against the sea-shore, there hath He appointed it.
Akore ty hitofa’e kanao nandily t’Iehovà? i Askelone naho i olon-driakey ty nitendrea’e.
