Jeremiah 17
1 The sin of Judah is written with a pen of iron, and with the point of a diamond; it is graven upon the tablet of their heart, and upon the horns of your altars.
| «گناه یهودا به قلم آهنین و نوک الماس مرقوم است. و بر لوح دل ایشان و بر شاخهای مذبح های شما منقوش است. | ۱ |
2 Like the symbols of their sons are their altars, and their Asherim are by the leafy trees, upon the high hills.
| مادامی که پسران ایشان مذبح های خود و اشیریم خویش را نزد درختان سبز و بر تلهای بلند یاد می‌دارند، | ۲ |
3 O thou that sittest upon the mountain in the field, I will give thy substance and all thy treasures for a spoil, and thy high places, because of sin, throughout all thy borders.
| ای کوه من که در صحرا هستی توانگری وتمامی خزاین تو را به تاراج خواهم داد ومکان های بلند تو را نیز به‌سبب گناهی که در همه حدود خود ورزیده‌ای. | ۳ |
4 And thou, even of thyself, shalt discontinue from thy heritage that I gave thee; and I will cause thee to serve thine enemies in the land which thou knowest not; for ye have kindled a fire in My nostril, which shall burn for ever.
| و تو از خودت نیز ملک خویش را که به تو داده‌ام بی‌زرع خواهی گذاشت و دشمنانت را در زمینی که نمی دانی خدمت خواهی نمود زیرا آتشی در غضب من افروخته‌اید که تا به ابد مشتعل خواهد بود.» | ۴ |
5 Thus saith the LORD: Cursed is the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD.
| و خداوند چنین می‌گوید: «ملعون باد کسی‌که بر انسان توکل دارد و بشر را اعتماد خویش سازد و دلش از یهوه منحرف باشد. | ۵ |
6 For he shall be like a tamarisk in the desert, and shall not see when good cometh; but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, a salt land and not inhabited.
| و او مثل درخت عرعر در بیابان خواهد بود و چون نیکویی آید آن را نخواهد دید بلکه در مکان های خشک بیابان در زمین شوره غیرمسکون ساکن خواهدشد.» | ۶ |
7 Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose trust the LORD is.
| مبارک باد کسی‌که بر خداوند توکل دارد وخداوند اعتماد او باشد. | ۷ |
8 For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out its roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but its foliage shall be luxuriant; and shall not be anxious in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.
| او مثل درخت نشانده بر کنار آب خواهد بود که ریشه های خویش رابسوی نهر پهن می‌کند و چون گرما بیاید نخواهدترسید و برگش شاداب خواهد ماند و درخشکسالی اندیشه نخواهد داشت و از آوردن میوه باز نخواهد ماند. | ۸ |
9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and it is exceeding weak — who can know it?
| دل از همه‌چیز فریبنده تراست و بسیار مریض است کیست که آن را بداند؟ | ۹ |
10 I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his doings.
| «من یهوه تفتیش کننده دل و آزماینده گرده هاهستم تا بهر کس بر‌حسب راههایش و بر وفق ثمره اعمالش جزا دهم.» | ۱۰ |
11 As the partridge that broodeth over young which she hath not brought forth, so is he that getteth riches, and not by right; in the midst of his days he shall leave them, and at his end he shall be a fool.
| مثل کبک که بر تخمهایی که ننهاده باشدبنشیند، همچنان است کسی‌که مال را به بی انصافی جمع کند. در نصف روزهایش آن راترک خواهد کرد و در آخرت خود احمق خواهدبود. | ۱۱ |
12 Thou throne of glory, on high from the beginning, thou place of our sanctuary,
| موضع قدس ما کرسی جلال و از ازل مرتفع است. | ۱۲ |
13 Thou hope of Israel, the LORD! All that forsake Thee shall be ashamed; they that depart from Thee shall be written in the earth, because they have forsaken the LORD, the fountain of living waters.
| ای خداوند که امید اسرائیل هستی همگانی که تو را ترک نمایند خجل خواهند شد. آنانی که از من منحرف شوند درزمین مکتوب خواهند شد چونکه خداوند را که چشمه آب حیات‌است ترک نموده‌اند. | ۱۳ |
14 Heal me, O LORD, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved; for Thou art my praise.
| ای خداوند مرا شفا بده، پس شفا خواهم یافت. مرانجات بده، پس ناجی خواهم شد زیرا که توتسبیح من هستی. | ۱۴ |
15 Behold, they say unto me: 'Where is the word of the LORD? let it come now.'
| اینک ایشان به من می‌گویند: «کلام خداوند کجاست؟ الان واقع بشود.» | ۱۵ |
16 As for me, I have not hastened from being a shepherd after Thee; neither have I desired the woeful day; Thou knowest it; that which came out of my lips was manifest before Thee.
| واما من از بودن شبان برای پیروی تو تعجیل ننمودم و تو می‌دانی که یوم بلا را نخواستم. آنچه از لبهایم بیرون آمد به حضور تو ظاهر بود. | ۱۶ |
17 Be not a ruin unto me; Thou art my refuge in the day of evil.
| برای من باعث ترس مباش که در روز بلاملجای من تویی. | ۱۷ |
18 Let them be ashamed that persecute me, but let not me be ashamed; Let them be dismayed, but let not me be dismayed; Bring upon them the day of evil, and destroy them with double destruction.
| ستمکاران من خجل شونداما من خجل نشوم. ایشان هراسان شوند اما من هراسان نشوم. روز بلا را بر ایشان بیاور و ایشان رابه هلاکت مضاعف هلاک کن. | ۱۸ |
19 Thus said the LORD unto me: Go, and stand in the gate of the children of the people, whereby the kings of Judah come in, and by which they go out, and in all the gates of Jerusalem;
| خداوند به من چنین گفت که «برو و نزددروازه پسران قوم که پادشاهان یهودا از آن داخل می‌شوند و از آن بیرون می‌روند و نزد همه دروازه های اورشلیم بایست. | ۱۹ |
20 and say unto them: Hear ye the word of the LORD, ye kings of Judah, and all Judah, and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, that enter in by these gates;
| و به ایشان بگو: ای پادشاهان یهودا و تمامی یهودا و جمیع سکنه اورشلیم که از این دروازه‌ها داخل می‌شوید کلام خداوند را بشنوید! | ۲۰ |
21 thus saith the LORD: Take heed for the sake of your souls, and bear no burden on the sabbath day, nor bring it in by the gates of Jerusalem;
| خداوند چنین می‌گوید: برخویشتن با حذر باشید و در روز سبت هیچ باری حمل نکنید و آن را داخل دروازه های اورشلیم مسازید. | ۲۱ |
22 neither carry forth a burden out of your houses on the sabbath day, neither do ye any work; but hallow ye the sabbath day, as I commanded your fathers;
| و در روز سبت هیچ باری ازخانه های خود بیرون میاورید و هیچکار مکنیدبلکه روز سبت را تقدیس نمایید چنانکه به پدران شما امر فرمودم.» | ۲۲ |
23 but they hearkened not, neither inclined their ear, but made their neck stiff, that they might not hear, nor receive instruction.
| اما ایشان نشنیدند و گوش خود را فرانداشتند بلکه گردنهای خود را سخت ساختند تانشنوند و تادیب را نپذیرند. | ۲۳ |
24 And it shall come to pass, if ye diligently hearken unto Me, saith the LORD, to bring in no burden through the gates of this city on the sabbath day, but to hallow the sabbath day, to do no work therein;
| و خداوندمی گوید: «اگر مرا حقیقت بشنوید و در روز سبت، هیچ باری از دروازه های این شهر داخل نسازید وروز سبت را تقدیس نموده، هیچکار در آن نکنید، | ۲۴ |
25 then shall there enter in by the gates of this city kings and princes sitting upon the throne of David, riding in chariots and on horses, they, and their princes, the men of Judah, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and this city shall be inhabited for ever.
| آنگاه پادشاهان و سروران بر کرسی داود نشسته و بر ارابه‌ها و اسبان سوار شده، ایشان و سروران ایشان مردان یهودا و ساکنان اورشلیم از دروازه های این شهر داخل خواهند شد و این شهر تا به ابد مسکون خواهد بود. | ۲۵ |
26 And they shall come from the cities of Judah, and from the places round about Jerusalem, and from the land of Benjamin, and from the Lowland, and from the mountains, and from the South, bringing burnt-offerings, and sacrifices, and meal-offerings, and frankincense, and bringing sacrifices of thanksgiving, unto the house of the LORD.
| و ازشهرهای یهودا و از نواحی اورشلیم و از زمین بنیامین و از همواری و کوهستان و جنوب خواهند آمد و قربانی های سوختنی و ذبایح وهدایای آردی و بخور خواهند‌آورد و ذبایح تشکر را به خانه خداوند خواهند‌آورد. | ۲۶ |
27 But if ye will not hearken unto Me to hallow the sabbath day, and not to bear a burden and enter in at the gates of Jerusalem on the sabbath day; then will I kindle a fire in the gates thereof, and it shall devour the palaces of Jerusalem, and it shall not be quenched.
| و اگرمرا نشنیده روز سبت را تقدیس ننمایید و در روزسبت باری برداشته، به شهرهای اورشلیم داخل سازید آنگاه در دروازه هایش آتشی خواهم افروخت که قصرهای اورشلیم را خواهد سوخت و خاموش نخواهد شد.» | ۲۷ |
