Jeremiah 17
1 The sin of Judah is written with a pen of iron, and with the point of a diamond; it is graven upon the tablet of their heart, and upon the horns of your altars.
१“यहूदाचे पाप लोखंडी लेखणीने व हिऱ्याच्या टोकाने लिहिलेले आहे. ते त्यांच्या हृदयाच्या पाटीवर आणि वेदीच्या शिंगांवर कोरले आहेत.
2 Like the symbols of their sons are their altars, and their Asherim are by the leafy trees, upon the high hills.
२त्यांचे लोक उंच डोंगरावरील हिरव्या झाडाजवळील त्यांच्या वेद्या आणि अशेराचे खांब आठवण करतात.
3 O thou that sittest upon the mountain in the field, I will give thy substance and all thy treasures for a spoil, and thy high places, because of sin, throughout all thy borders.
३विस्तीर्ण प्रदेशातील डोंगरावरील त्यांच्या वेद्या ते आठवतात. मी तुझी संपत्ती आणि विपुलता दुसऱ्यास लूट अशी वाटून देणार. कारण तुझी पातके तुझ्या सर्व सिमांत सरळीकडे आहेत.
4 And thou, even of thyself, shalt discontinue from thy heritage that I gave thee; and I will cause thee to serve thine enemies in the land which thou knowest not; for ye have kindled a fire in My nostril, which shall burn for ever.
४मी दिलेला वारसा तू गमावशील. मी तुमच्या शत्रूंना तुम्हास गुलाम म्हणून अज्ञान भूमीत देईन. कारण माझ्या क्रोधात तू अग्नी पेटवला आहे, जो सर्वकाळ जळत राहीन.”
5 Thus saith the LORD: Cursed is the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD.
५परमेश्वर असे म्हणतो, “जो मानवजातीवर विश्वास ठेवतो, जो आपल्या देहाला आपले सामर्थ्य करतो पण त्याचे हृदय परमेश्वरापासून दूर आहे, तो शापित असो.
6 For he shall be like a tamarisk in the desert, and shall not see when good cometh; but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, a salt land and not inhabited.
६कारण तो वाळवंटातील झुडुपाप्रमाणे आहे आणि चांगले येईल ते तो पाहणार नाही. तो निर्जन, कोरड्या व बरड जमिनीवर व रहिवासी नसलेल्या जागी वस्ती करीन.
7 Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose trust the LORD is.
७परंतु जो परमेश्वरावर विश्वास ठेवतो, तो आशीर्वादीत आहे, कारण परमेश्वर त्याचा विश्वास आहे.
8 For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out its roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but its foliage shall be luxuriant; and shall not be anxious in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.
८तो पाण्याच्या प्रवाहाजवळ लावलेल्या वृक्षाप्रमाणे तो होईल, ज्याची मुळे प्रवाहाजवळ पसरते, तो हे पाहत नाही की उन्हाची झळ येत आहे, कारण त्याची पाने हिरवीगार राहतात. मग दुष्काळाच्या वर्षाच्या काळात तो चिंताग्रस्त होणार नाही, किंवा तो फळ देण्याचे थांबवणार नाही.”
9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and it is exceeding weak — who can know it?
९हृदय इतर कोणत्याही गोष्टीपेक्षा जास्त कपटी आहे, ते आजारी आहे, कोण त्यास समजू शकणार?
10 I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his doings.
१०मी प्रत्येक मनुष्यास त्याच्या लायकीप्रमाणे, त्याच्या कर्माच्या फळाप्रमाणे ताडना करण्यास, मी परमेश्वर, मनाचा शोध घेतो, मी हृदय पारखतो.
11 As the partridge that broodeth over young which she hath not brought forth, so is he that getteth riches, and not by right; in the midst of his days he shall leave them, and at his end he shall be a fool.
११अन्यायाने जो श्रीमंत होतो, तो जशी तितर जी अंजी घालत नाहीत त्यावर बसते तसा आहे. पण त्याच्या आयुष्याच्या मध्यांनात, ती संपत्ती त्यास सोडील. तो शेवटी एक मूर्ख असेल.
12 Thou throne of glory, on high from the beginning, thou place of our sanctuary,
१२आमच्या मंदिराचे ठिकाण एक गौरवशाली राजासन, जे सुरुवातीपासून भारदस्त आहे.
13 Thou hope of Israel, the LORD! All that forsake Thee shall be ashamed; they that depart from Thee shall be written in the earth, because they have forsaken the LORD, the fountain of living waters.
१३परमेश्वरा, तू इस्राएलचे आशास्थान आहेस. तू पाण्याच्या जिवंत झऱ्याप्रमाणे आहेस. जो या भूमीवर परमेश्वरा पासून फिरेल, त्यास छेदले जाईल. कारण त्यांनी परमेश्वरास जो जिवंत पाण्याचा झरा आहे, त्यास सोडले आहे.
14 Heal me, O LORD, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved; for Thou art my praise.
१४परमेश्वरा, तू मला बरे कर, आणि मी पूर्ण, बरा होईन. तू मला तार, म्हणजे मी तरेन. कारण तुच माझे स्तुतीचे गीत आहेस.
15 Behold, they say unto me: 'Where is the word of the LORD? let it come now.'
१५पाहा, ते मला विचारत आहे, “परमेश्वराचे वचन कोठे आहे? ते आता येवो.”
16 As for me, I have not hastened from being a shepherd after Thee; neither have I desired the woeful day; Thou knowest it; that which came out of my lips was manifest before Thee.
१६मी तर तुझ्यामागे चालून मेंढपाळ होण्यापासून मागे हटलो नाही, तो भयंकर दिवस उजाडावा अशी माझी इच्छाही नव्हती. हे तू जाणतोस, जे माझ्या ओठातून निघाले ते तुझ्यासमोर आहे.
17 Be not a ruin unto me; Thou art my refuge in the day of evil.
१७तू मला भयावह असे होऊ नकोस. संकटाच्या दिवशी तू माझा आश्रय आहेस.
18 Let them be ashamed that persecute me, but let not me be ashamed; Let them be dismayed, but let not me be dismayed; Bring upon them the day of evil, and destroy them with double destruction.
१८माझा पाठलाग करणारे लाजवले जावो, परंतू मी न लाजवला जावो. ते निराश केले जावोत, परंतू मी निराश न केला जावो. अरिष्टाचा दिवस त्यांच्याविरुद्ध पाठव आणि दुप्पट नाशाने त्यांना विखरुन टाक.
19 Thus said the LORD unto me: Go, and stand in the gate of the children of the people, whereby the kings of Judah come in, and by which they go out, and in all the gates of Jerusalem;
१९परमेश्वराने मला असे म्हटले: “यहूदाचे राजे यरूशलेमेच्या ज्या प्रवेशद्वारातून ये-जा करतात, त्या द्वारात जाऊन उभा राहा आणि लोकांस सांग. मग यरूशलेमेच्या इतर प्रवेशद्वारापाशी जाऊन हेच कर.
20 and say unto them: Hear ye the word of the LORD, ye kings of Judah, and all Judah, and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, that enter in by these gates;
२०त्यांना सांग, यहूदाच्या राजांनो आणि सर्व यहूदा लोकांनो व यरूशलेमेच्या प्रवेशद्वारांतून प्रवेश करणाऱ्या सर्व राहणाऱ्यांनो, परमेश्वराचे वचन ऐका.
21 thus saith the LORD: Take heed for the sake of your souls, and bear no burden on the sabbath day, nor bring it in by the gates of Jerusalem;
२१परमेश्वर असे म्हणतो: तुम्ही आपला जीव जपा आणि शब्बाथाच्या दिवशी तुम्ही यरूशलेमेच्या प्रवेशद्वारातून ओझी वाहून आणू नका.
22 neither carry forth a burden out of your houses on the sabbath day, neither do ye any work; but hallow ye the sabbath day, as I commanded your fathers;
२२आणि शब्बाथाच्या दिवशी तुम्ही आपल्या घरातून काही भार बाहेर आणू नका व काही उद्योगही करु नका, तुमच्या पूर्वजांना दिलेल्या आज्ञेप्रमाणे शब्बाथाचा दिवस पवित्र पाळा.
23 but they hearkened not, neither inclined their ear, but made their neck stiff, that they might not hear, nor receive instruction.
२३पण त्यांनी तो पाळला नाही आणि लक्ष दिले नाही. परंतू ते आपल्या मानेत ताठर झाले, म्हणून ते ऐकेणात आणि शिक्षण आत्मसात करेनात.
24 And it shall come to pass, if ye diligently hearken unto Me, saith the LORD, to bring in no burden through the gates of this city on the sabbath day, but to hallow the sabbath day, to do no work therein;
२४असे होईल की, जर तुम्ही खचित माझे ऐकाल आणि शब्बाथाच्या दिवस पवित्र पाळण्यासाठी, यरूशलेमेच्या प्रदेशद्वारातून तुम्ही ओझी आणली नाहीत आणि त्या दिवशी काम नाही केले, परमेश्वर असे म्हणतो.
25 then shall there enter in by the gates of this city kings and princes sitting upon the throne of David, riding in chariots and on horses, they, and their princes, the men of Judah, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and this city shall be inhabited for ever.
२५तर या नगराच्या दारातून दावीदाच्या सिंहासनावर बसणारे राजे आणि सरदार, रथांमधे व घोड्यावर बसून आत जातील, ते व त्यांचे सरदार, यहूदा आणि यरूशलेमेत राहणारे, आत जातील, आणि हे नगर सर्वकाळ राहीन.
26 And they shall come from the cities of Judah, and from the places round about Jerusalem, and from the land of Benjamin, and from the Lowland, and from the mountains, and from the South, bringing burnt-offerings, and sacrifices, and meal-offerings, and frankincense, and bringing sacrifices of thanksgiving, unto the house of the LORD.
२६ते सर्व यहूदा आणि यरूशलेमेच्या आजूबाजूच्या सर्व प्रदेशातून, आणि बन्यामीनच्या देशातून आणि खालच्या भागातून, डोंगराळ प्रदेशातून आणि नेगेबमधून, होमार्पण आणि धान्यार्पण, यज्ञ व धूप आणतील आणि उपकारस्तुतीची अर्पणे घेऊन लोक परमेश्वराच्या घरास येतील.
27 But if ye will not hearken unto Me to hallow the sabbath day, and not to bear a burden and enter in at the gates of Jerusalem on the sabbath day; then will I kindle a fire in the gates thereof, and it shall devour the palaces of Jerusalem, and it shall not be quenched.
२७पण जर तुम्ही शब्बाथ दिवस पवित्र पाळण्यासाठी माझे ऐकले नाही, जर तुम्ही शब्बाथाच्या दिवशी यरूशलेमेच्या दारात ओझे वाहिले, तर मी दारात कधींही विझू न शकणारी आग लावीन, ही आग यरूशलेमचे राजवाडे खाऊन टाकील आणि ती विझवली जाणार नाही.”
