Jeremiah 16
1 The word of the LORD came also unto me, saying:
౧యెహోవా వాక్కు నాకు ప్రత్యక్షమై ఇలా చెప్పాడు,
2 Thou shalt not take thee a wife, neither shalt thou have sons or daughters in this place.
౨“నువ్వు పెళ్లి చేసుకోవద్దు. ఈ స్థలంలో నీ కోసం కొడుకులనుగానీ కూతుళ్ళను గానీ కనొద్దు.”
3 For thus saith the LORD concerning the sons and concerning the daughters that are born in this place, and concerning their mothers that bore them, and concerning their fathers that begot them in this land:
౩ఈ స్థలంలో పుట్టే కొడుకుల గురించి కూతుళ్ళ గురించి, వాళ్ళను కనిన తల్లులను గురించి, ఈ దేశంలో వాళ్ళను కనిన తండ్రులను గురించి యెహోవా ఇలా చెబుతున్నాడు.
4 They shall die of grievous deaths; they shall not be lamented, neither shall they be buried, they shall be as dung upon the face of the ground; and they shall be consumed by the sword, and by famine; and their carcasses shall be meat for the fowls of heaven, and for the beasts of the earth.
౪“వాళ్ళు ఘోరమైన చావు చస్తారు. వాళ్ళను గురించి ఎవ్వరూ ఏడవరు. వాళ్ళను పాతిపెట్టరు. వాళ్ళు భూమి మీద పెంటకుప్పలాగా పడి ఉంటారు. వాళ్ళు కత్తితో, కరువుతో నశిస్తారు. వాళ్ళ శవాలు రాబందులకూ భూజంతువులకూ ఆహారంగా ఉంటాయి.”
5 For thus saith the LORD: Enter not into the house of mourning, neither go to lament, neither bemoan them; for I have taken away My peace from this people, saith the LORD, even mercy and compassion.
౫యెహోవా ఇలా చెబుతున్నాడు. “నేను ఈ ప్రజలకు నా శాంతి, నా దయ, నా వాత్సల్యం తీసివేశాను, కాబట్టి విలపించే వాళ్ళ ఇంట్లోకి నువ్వు వెళ్లొద్దు. వాళ్ళను గురించి విలపించడానికి వెళ్ళవద్దు. ఎవరినీ ఓదార్చడానికి వెళ్ళవద్దు.” ఇది యెహోవా వాక్కు.
6 Both the great and the small shall die in this land; they shall not be buried; neither shall men lament for them, nor cut themselves, nor make themselves bald for them;
౬ఈ దేశంలో గొప్పవాళ్ళు, సామాన్యులు అందరూ చస్తారు. వాళ్ళను ఎవ్వరూ పాతిపెట్టరు. వాళ్ళ గురించి ఎవరూ ఏడవరు. తమను తాము గాయపరచుకోరు. తలవెంట్రుకలు కత్తిరించుకోరు.
7 neither shall men break bread for them in mourning, to comfort them for the dead; neither shall men give them the cup of consolation to drink for their father or for their mother.
౭చచ్చినవారి గురించి ప్రజలను ఓదార్చడానికి వారితో కలిసి తినే వాళ్ళెవరూ ఉండరు. ఒకరి నాన్న గానీ అమ్మ గానీ చనిపోతే కూడా ఎవరూ వారిని ఓదార్చేలా తాగడానికి ఏమీ ఇవ్వరు.
8 And thou shalt not go into the house of feasting to sit with them, to eat and to drink.
౮విందు జరిగే ఇంట్లోకి నువ్వు వెళ్లొద్దు. వారితో కూర్చుని తిని తాగొద్దు.
9 For thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel: Behold, I will cause to cease out of this place, before your eyes and in your days, the voice of mirth and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride.
౯ఇశ్రాయేలు దేవుడు, సేనల ప్రభువు యెహోవా ఇలా చెబుతున్నాడు. “మీ కళ్ళ ముందే మీ రోజుల్లోనే ఇక్కడే సంతోష ధ్వనినీ ఉత్సవ ధ్వనినీ పెళ్ళి కొడుకు, పెళ్లి కూతురు స్వరాలనూ ఆపబోతున్నాను.”
10 And it shall come to pass, when thou shalt tell this people all these words, and they shall say unto thee: 'Wherefore hath the LORD pronounced all this great evil against us? or what is our iniquity? or what is our sin that we have committed against the LORD our God?'
౧౦నువ్వు ఈ మాటలన్నీ ఈ ప్రజలకు తెలియచేసిన తరువాత, వారు “యెహోవా మాకెందుకు ఈ ఘోర విపత్తు నిర్ణయించాడు? మా దేవుడైన యెహోవాకు వ్యతిరేకంగా మేము చేసిన దోషం, పాపం ఏమిటి?” అని నిన్ను అడుగుతారు.
11 then shalt thou say unto them: 'Because your fathers have forsaken Me, saith the LORD, and have walked after other gods, and have served them, and have worshipped them, and have forsaken Me, and have not kept My law;
౧౧అప్పుడు నువ్వు వారితో ఇలా చెప్పు. “యెహోవా ఈ మాట చెబుతున్నాడు. మీ పూర్వీకులు నన్ను విడిచి వేరే దేవుళ్ళను అనుసరించి పూజించి వాటికి మొక్కారు. వాళ్ళు నన్ను వదిలేసి నా ధర్మశాస్త్రాన్ని పాటించలేదు.
12 and ye have done worse than your fathers; for, behold, ye walk every one after the stubbornness of his evil heart, so that ye hearken not unto Me;
౧౨వినండి. మీరంతా నా మాట వినకుండా మీ చెడ్డ హృదయ కాఠిన్యం ప్రకారం నడుచుకుంటున్నారు. మీరు మీ పూర్వీకుల కంటే మరి ఎక్కువ దుర్మార్గం చేశారు.
13 therefore will I cast you out of this land into a land that ye have not known, neither ye nor your fathers; and there shall ye serve other gods day and night; forasmuch as I will show you no favour.'
౧౩కాబట్టి నేను మీ పట్ల ఏమాత్రం దయ చూపను. ఈ దేశం నుంచి మీకు గానీ మీ పూర్వీకులకు గానీ తెలియని దేశంలోకి ఇక్కడ నుంచి మిమ్మల్ని విసిరివేస్తాను. అక్కడ మీరు రాత్రింబగళ్ళు ఇతర దేవుళ్ళను పూజిస్తారు.”
14 Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that it shall no more be said: 'As the LORD liveth, that brought up the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt,'
౧౪యెహోవా తెలియజేసేదేమిటంటే “నేను వారి పూర్వీకులకు ఇచ్చిన దేశానికి వారిని మళ్ళీ రప్పిస్తాను. కాబట్టి రాబోయే రోజుల్లో ‘ఐగుప్తు దేశంలో నుండి ఇశ్రాయేలీయులను రప్పించిన యెహోవా జీవం తోడు’ అని ఇకమీదట అనరు.
15 but: 'As the LORD liveth, that brought up the children of Israel from the land of the north, and from all the countries whither He had driven them'; and I will bring them back into their land that I gave unto their fathers.
౧౫కానీ ‘ఉత్తరదేశంలో నుంచి ఆయన వారిని తరిమిన దేశాలన్నిటిలో నుంచి ఇశ్రాయేలీయులను రప్పించిన యెహోవా జీవం తోడు’ అని ప్రజలు ప్రమాణం చేస్తారు.”
16 Behold, I will send for many fishers, saith the LORD, and they shall fish them; and afterward I will send for many hunters, and they shall hunt them from every mountain, and from every hill, and out of the clefts of the rocks.
౧౬ఇదే యెహోవా వాక్కు. “వాళ్ళను పట్టుకోడానికి నేను చాలామంది జాలరులను పిలిపిస్తాను. తరువాత ప్రతి పర్వతం మీద నుంచి ప్రతి కొండ మీద నుంచి మెట్టల సందుల్లోనుంచి వారిని వేటాడి తోలివేయడానికి చాలామంది వేటగాళ్ళను పిలిపిస్తాను.
17 For Mine eyes are upon all their ways, they are not hid from My face; Neither is their iniquity concealed from Mine eyes.
౧౭ఎందుకంటే వారు వెళ్ళిన దారులన్నిటి మీద నా దృష్టి ఉంది. ఏదీ నాకు కనిపించకుండా పోలేదు. వారి దోషం నా కళ్ళకు తేటతెల్లమే.
18 And first I will recompense their iniquity and their sin double; because they have profaned My land; they have filled Mine inheritance with the carcasses of their detestable things and their abominations.
౧౮వాళ్ళు తమ నీచమైన విగ్రహాలతో నా సొత్తు నింపారు. నా దేశాన్ని అపవిత్రపరచారు. కాబట్టి నేను మొదట వారి దోషాన్ని బట్టి, వారి పాపాన్ని బట్టి రెండంతలుగా వారికి ప్రతీకారం చేస్తాను.”
19 O LORD, my strength, and my stronghold, and my refuge, in the day of affliction, unto Thee shall the nations come from the ends of the earth, and shall say: 'Our fathers have inherited nought but lies, vanity and things wherein there is no profit.'
౧౯యెహోవా, నువ్వే నా బలం. నా దుర్గం. దురవస్థలో ఆశ్రయంగా ఉన్నావు. ప్రపంచమంతటి నుంచి రాజ్యాలు నీ దగ్గరికి వచ్చి “మా పూర్వీకులు, వ్యర్ధాన్ని స్వతంత్రించుకున్నారు. అవి వట్టివి విగ్రహాలు. అవి పనికిమాలినవి” అని చెబుతారు.
20 Shall a man make unto himself gods, and they are no gods?
౨౦మనుషులు తమకు దేవుళ్ళను కల్పించుకుంటారా? అయినా వారు దేవుళ్ళు కారు.
21 Therefore, behold, I will cause them to know, this once will I cause them to know My hand and My might; and they shall know that My name is the LORD.
౨౧కాబట్టి “నా పేరు యెహోవా” అని వారు తెలుసుకునేలా నేను ఈసారి వారికి నేర్పిస్తాను. నా బలం, నా శౌర్యం ఎంతటివో వారికి తెలియజేస్తాను.
