Isaiah 61
1 The spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to bring good tidings unto the humble; He hath sent me to bind up the broken-hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the eyes to them that are bound;
Lo spirito del Signore Dio è su di me perché il Signore mi ha consacrato con l'unzione; mi ha mandato a portare il lieto annunzio ai miseri, a fasciare le piaghe dei cuori spezzati, a proclamare la libertà degli schiavi, la scarcerazione dei prigionieri,
2 To proclaim the year of the LORD'S good pleasure, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;
a promulgare l'anno di misericordia del Signore, un giorno di vendetta per il nostro Dio, per consolare tutti gli afflitti,
3 To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them a garland for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the mantle of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called terebinths of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, wherein He might glory.
per allietare gli afflitti di Sion, per dare loro una corona invece della cenere, olio di letizia invece dell'abito da lutto, canto di lode invece di un cuore mesto. Essi si chiameranno querce di giustizia, piantagione del Signore per manifestare la sua gloria.
4 And they shall build the old wastes, they shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall renew the waste cities, the desolations of many generations.
Ricostruiranno le vecchie rovine, rialzeranno gli antichi ruderi, restaureranno le città desolate, devastate da più generazioni.
5 And strangers shall stand and feed your flocks, and aliens shall be your plowmen and your vinedressers.
Ci saranno stranieri a pascere i vostri greggi e figli di stranieri saranno vostri contadini e vignaioli.
6 But ye shall be named the priests of the LORD, men shall call you the ministers of our God; ye shall eat the wealth of the nations, and in their splendour shall ye revel.
Voi sarete chiamati sacerdoti del Signore, ministri del nostro Dio sarete detti. Vi godrete i beni delle nazioni, trarrete vanto dalle loro ricchezze.
7 For your shame which was double, and for that they rejoiced: 'Confusion is their portion'; therefore in their land they shall possess double, everlasting joy shall be unto them.
Perché il loro obbrobrio fu di doppia misura, vergogna e insulto furono la loro porzione; per questo possiederanno il doppio nel loro paese, avranno una letizia perenne.
8 For I the LORD love justice, I hate robbery with iniquity; and I will give them their recompense in truth, and I will make an everlasting covenant with them.
Poiché io sono il Signore che amo il diritto e odio la rapina e l'ingiustizia: io darò loro fedelmente il salario, concluderò con loro un'alleanza perenne.
9 And their seed shall be known among the nations, and their offspring among the peoples; all that see them shall acknowledge them, that they are the seed which the LORD hath blessed.
Sarà famosa tra i popoli la loro stirpe, i loro discendenti tra le nazioni. Coloro che li vedranno ne avranno stima, perché essi sono la stirpe che il Signore ha benedetto.
10 I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for He hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, He hath covered me with the robe of victory, as a bridegroom putteth on a priestly diadem, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels.
Io gioisco pienamente nel Signore, la mia anima esulta nel mio Dio, perché mi ha rivestito delle vesti di salvezza, mi ha avvolto con il manto della giustizia, come uno sposo che si cinge il diadema e come una sposa che si adorna di gioielli.
11 For as the earth bringeth forth her growth, and as the garden causeth the things that are sown in it to spring forth; so the Lord GOD will cause victory and glory to spring forth before all the nations.
Poiché come la terra produce la vegetazione e come un giardino fa germogliare i semi, così il Signore Dio farà germogliare la giustizia e la lode davanti a tutti i popoli.
