Isaiah 59
1 Behold, the LORD'S hand is not shortened, that it cannot save, neither His ear heavy, that it cannot hear;
૧જુઓ, યહોવાહનો હાથ એટલો ટૂંકો થઈ ગયો નથી કે તે તમને બચાવી ના શકે અથવા તેમનો કાન એવો મંદ થયો નથી કે તે સાંભળી ન શકે.
2 But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid His face from you, that He will not hear.
૨પણ તમારાં પાપનાં કાર્યોએ તમને તમારા ઈશ્વરથી અલગ કર્યા છે, અને તમારાં પાપોને કારણે તેમણે પોતાનું મુખ તમારાથી સંતાડ્યું છે કે તે સાંભળે નહિ.
3 For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken lies, your tongue muttereth wickedness.
૩કેમ કે તમારા હાથ રક્તથી અને પાપથી ખરડાયેલા છે. તમારા હોઠ જૂઠું બોલે છે અને તમારી જીભ દુષ્ટ વાત કરે છે.
4 None sueth in righteousness, and none pleadeth in truth; they trust in vanity, and speak lies, they conceive mischief, and bring forth iniquity.
૪ન્યાયને અનુસરીને કોઈ પોકાર કરતું નથી અને સત્યથી કોઈ દલીલ કરતું નથી. તેઓ ખાલી શબ્દો પર ભરોસો રાખે છે અને જૂઠું કહે છે; તેઓ વિપત્તિનો ગર્ભ ધરે છે અને પાપને જન્મ આપે છે.
5 They hatch basilisks' eggs, and weave the spider's web; he that eateth of their eggs dieth, and that which is crushed breaketh out into a viper.
૫તેઓ ઝેરી સર્પનાં ઈંડાં સેવે છે અને કરોળિયાની જાળો વણે છે. તેમનાં ઈંડાં જે ખાય તે મરી જાય છે અને જે ઈંડું ફૂટે છે તેમાંથી ઝેરી સાપ નીકળે છે.
6 Their webs shall not become garments, neither shall men cover themselves with their works; their works are works of iniquity, and the act of violence is in their hands.
૬તેઓની જાળો વસ્ત્ર તરીકે કામમાં આવશે નહિ કે પોતાની કરણીઓથી તેઓ પોતાનું આચ્છાદન કરી શકશે નહિ. તેઓની કરણીઓ પાપના કામ છે અને તેમના હાથોથી હિંસાના કાર્યો થાય છે.
7 Their feet run to evil, and they make haste to shed innocent blood; their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity, desolation and destruction are in their paths.
૭તેમના પગ દુષ્ટતા તરફ દોડી જાય છે અને તેઓ નિરપરાધીનું રક્ત વહેવડાવવાને ઉતાવળ કરે છે. તેઓના વિચારો તે પાપના વિચારો છે; હિંસા અને વિનાશ તેઓના માર્ગો છે.
8 The way of peace they know not, and there is no right in their goings; they have made them crooked paths, whosoever goeth therein doth not know peace.
૮તેઓ શાંતિનો માર્ગ જાણતા નથી અને તેઓના રસ્તામાં કંઈ ઇનસાફ નથી. તેઓએ પોતાનો માર્ગ વાંકોચૂકો કર્યો છે; જે કોઈ તે માર્ગ પર ચાલે છે તેને શાંતિ મળતી નથી.
9 Therefore is justice far from us, neither doth righteousness overtake us; we look for light, but behold darkness, for brightness, but we walk in gloom.
૯તેથી ઇનસાફ અમારાથી દૂર રહે છે જેથી ન્યાયીપણું અમારી પાસે પહોંચી શકતું નથી. અમે અજવાળાની રાહ જોઈએ છીએ, પણ અંધકાર મળે છે; અમે પ્રકાશની આશા રાખીએ છીએ, પણ અંધકારમાં ચાલીએ છીએ.
10 We grope for the wall like the blind, yea, as they that have no eyes do we grope; we stumble at noonday as in the twilight; we are in dark places like the dead.
૧૦કોઈ જોઈ ન શકે તેમ, અમે અંધની જેમ ભીંતને હાથ લગાવીને શોધીએ છીએ. અંધારી રાત્રિની જેમ અમે બપોરે ઠોકર ખાઈએ છીએ; બળવાનની મધ્યે અમે મૃત જેવા છીએ.
11 We all growl like bears, and mourn sore like doves; we look for right, but there is none; for salvation, but it is far off from us.
૧૧અમે રીંછની જેમ ઘૂરકીએ છીએ અને કબૂતરની જેમ નિસાસો નાખીએ છીએ; અમે ઇનસાફની રાહ જોઈએ છીએ, પણ કંઈ મળતો નથી; ઉદ્ધારની રાહ જોઈએ છીએ, પણ તે અમારાથી દૂર છે.
12 For our transgressions are multiplied before Thee, and our sins testify against us; for our transgressions are present to us, and as for our iniquities, we know them:
૧૨કેમ કે અમારા અપરાધો તમારી આગળ ઘણા છે અને અમારાં પાપ અમારી વિરુદ્ધ સાક્ષી પૂરે છે; કેમ કે અમારા અપરાધો અમારી સાથે છે અને અમારાં પાપ અમે જાણીએ છીએ.
13 Transgressing and denying the LORD, and turning away from following our God, speaking oppression and perverseness, conceiving and uttering from the heart words of falsehood.
૧૩અમે યહોવાહનો નકાર કરીને તેમની સામે બળવો કર્યો અને અમારા ઈશ્વરને અનુસરવાથી પાછા ફરી ગયા. જુલમની તથા બંડની વાત બોલવી, હૃદયમાં જૂઠી વાતનો વિચાર કરીને તેનો ઉચ્ચાર કરવો એ અમારાં પાપ છે.
14 And justice is turned away backward, and righteousness standeth afar off; for truth hath stumbled in the broad place, and uprightness cannot enter.
૧૪ઇનસાફ પાછળ ઠેલી મુકાય છે અને ન્યાયીપણું દૂર ઊભું રહે છે; કેમ કે સત્ય જાહેર ચોકમાં ઠોકર ખાય છે અને પ્રામાણિકતા પ્રવેશ કરી શકતી નથી.
15 And truth is lacking, and he that departeth from evil maketh himself a prey. And the LORD saw it, and it displeased Him that there was no justice;
૧૫વિશ્વસનીયતા દૂર થઈ છે અને જે કોઈ દુષ્ટતાથી પાછો ફરે છે તે પોતે તેનો ભોગ બને છે. યહોવાહે જોયું કે કંઈ ઇનસાફ નથી એ તેમને માઠું લાગ્યું.
16 And He saw that there was no man, and was astonished that there was no intercessor; therefore His own arm brought salvation unto Him; and His righteousness, it sustained Him;
૧૬તેમણે જોયું કે કોઈ માણસ નથી અને કોઈ મધ્યસ્થ નથી. તેથી તેમણે પોતાને માટે પોતાને જ હાથે ઉદ્ધાર સાધ્યો અને તેમનું ન્યાયીપણું તેમનો આધાર થયું.
17 And He put on righteousness as a coat of mail, and a helmet of salvation upon His head, and He put on garments of vengeance for clothing, and was clad with zeal as a cloak.
૧૭તેમણે ન્યાયીપણાનું બખતર અને માથા પર તારણનો ટોપ ધારણ કર્યો છે. તેમણે વેરનાં વસ્ત્રો પહેરી લીધાં છે અને ઉમંગનું આવરણ ઓઢ્યું છે.
18 According to their deeds, accordingly He will repay, fury to His adversaries, recompense to His enemies; to the islands He will repay recompense.
૧૮તેઓએ જે કર્યું હતું તે પ્રમાણેનો બદલો તેમણે આપ્યો છે, પોતાના વેરીઓને કોપ, પોતાના શત્રુઓને દંડ અને સમુદ્ર કિનારે આવેલોઓને તે શિક્ષા કરશે.
19 So shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west, and His glory from the rising of the sun; for distress will come in like a flood, which the breath of the LORD driveth.
૧૯તેથી તેઓ પશ્ચિમથી યહોવાહના નામનો અને પૂર્વથી તેમના પ્રતાપનો ભય રાખશે; કેમ કે તે યહોવાહના શ્વાસથી ચાલતા પ્રવાહની જેમ ધસી આવશે.
20 And a redeemer will come to Zion, and unto them that turn from transgression in Jacob, saith the LORD.
૨૦યહોવાહ એવું કહે છે કે, “સિયોનને માટે, અને યાકૂબમાંના અધર્મથી પાછા ફરનારને માટે ઉદ્ધાર કરનાર આવશે.”
21 And as for Me, this is My covenant with them, saith the LORD; My spirit that is upon thee, and My words which I have put in thy mouth, shall not depart out of thy mouth, nor out of the mouth of thy seed, nor out of the mouth of thy seed's seed, saith the LORD, from henceforth and for ever.
૨૧યહોવાહ કહે છે, “તેમની સાથે આ મારો કરાર છે,” “મારો આત્મા જે તારા પર છે અને મારાં વચનો જે મેં તારા મુખમાં મૂક્યાં છે, તે તારા મુખમાંથી, તારા સંતાનના મુખમાંથી, તથા તારા સંતાનના સંતાનના મુખમાંથી હમણાંથી તે સર્વકાળ સુધી જતાં રહેનાર નથી.”
