Isaiah 54

1 Sing, O barren, thou that didst not bear, break forth into singing, and cry aloud, thou that didst not travail; for more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife, saith the LORD.

“¡Canta, estéril, tú que no has dado a luz! Rompe a cantar y clama en voz alta, tú que no has dado a luz. Porque más son los hijos de la desolada que los de la casada”, dice Yahvé.

2 Enlarge the place of thy tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of thy habitations, spare not; lengthen thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes.

“Amplía el lugar de tu tienda, y que extiendan las cortinas de sus moradas; no escatimes; alarga tus cuerdas y refuerza tus estacas.

3 For thou shalt spread abroad on the right hand and on the left; and thy seed shall possess the nations, and make the desolate cities to be inhabited.

Porque te extenderás a la derecha y a la izquierda; y tu descendencia poseerá las naciones y se establecen en ciudades desoladas.

4 Fear not, for thou shalt not be ashamed. Neither be thou confounded, for thou shalt not be put to shame; for thou shalt forget the shame of thy youth, and the reproach of thy widowhood shalt thou remember no more.

“No tengas miedo, porque no te avergonzarás. No te confundas, porque no te decepcionará. Porque olvidarás la vergüenza de tu juventud. No recordarás más el reproche de tu viudez.

5 For thy Maker is thy husband, the LORD of hosts is His name; and the Holy One of Israel is thy Redeemer, the God of the whole earth shall He be called.

Porque tu Hacedor es tu esposo; Yahvé de los Ejércitos es su nombre. El Santo de Israel es tu Redentor. Será llamado el Dios de toda la tierra.

6 For the LORD hath called thee as a wife forsaken and grieved in spirit; and a wife of youth, can she be rejected? saith thy God.

Porque Yahvé te ha llamado como a una esposa abandonada y afligida de espíritu, incluso la esposa de la juventud, cuando es desechada”, dice tu Dios.

7 For a small moment have I forsaken thee; but with great compassion will I gather thee.

“Por un pequeño momento te he abandonado, pero te reuniré con grandes misericordias.

8 In a little wrath I hid My face from thee for a moment; but with everlasting kindness will I have compassion on thee, saith the LORD thy Redeemer.

Con una ira desbordante escondí mi rostro de ti por un momento, sino que con amor eterno tendré misericordia de ti”, dice Yahvé, tu Redentor.

9 For this is as the waters of Noah unto Me; for as I have sworn that the waters of Noah should no more go over the earth, so have I sworn that I would not be wroth with thee, nor rebuke thee.

“Porque esto es para mí como las aguas de Noé; porque como he jurado que las aguas de Noé no volverán a pasar por la tierra, por lo que he jurado que no me enfadaré con vosotros, ni os reprenderé.

10 For the mountains may depart, and the hills be removed; but My kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall My covenant of peace be removed, saith the LORD that hath compassion on thee.

Porque las montañas pueden partir, y las colinas sean eliminadas, pero mi bondad no se apartará de ti, y mi pacto de paz no será removido”. dice Yahvé, que se apiada de ti.

11 O thou afflicted, tossed with tempest, and not comforted, behold, I will set thy stones in fair colours, and lay thy foundations with sapphires.

“Afligidos, zarandeados por las tormentas y sin consuelo, he aquí que engastaré tus piedras con hermosos colores, y pon tus cimientos con zafiros.

12 And I will make thy pinnacles of rubies, and thy gates of carbuncles, and all thy border of precious stones.

Haré sus pináculos de rubíes, sus puertas de joyas brillantes, y todos sus muros de piedras preciosas.

13 And all thy children shall be taught of the LORD; and great shall be the peace of thy children.

Todos tus hijos serán enseñados por Yahvé, y la paz de tus hijos será grande.

14 In righteousness shalt thou be established; be thou far from oppression, for thou shalt not fear, and from ruin, for it shall not come near thee.

Serás establecido en la justicia. Estarás lejos de la opresión, porque no tendrás miedo, y lejos del terror, porque no se acercará a ti.

15 Behold, they may gather together, but not by Me; whosoever shall gather together against thee shall fall because of thee.

He aquí que pueden reunirse, pero no por mí. Quien se reúna contra ti, caerá por tu culpa.

16 Behold, I have created the smith that bloweth the fire of coals, and bringeth forth a weapon for his work; and I have created the waster to destroy.

“He aquí que he creado al herrero que aviva las brasas hasta convertirlas en llamas, y forja un arma para su trabajo; y he creado el destructor para destruir.

17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their due reward from Me, saith the LORD.

Ningún arma que se forme contra ti prevalecerá; y condenarás toda lengua que se levante contra ti en el juicio. Esta es la herencia de los siervos de Yahvé, y su justicia proviene de mí”, dice Yahvé.
