Isaiah 52
1 Awake, awake, put on thy strength, O Zion; put on thy beautiful garments, O Jerusalem, the holy city; for henceforth there shall no more come into thee the uncircumcised and the unclean.
Desperta-te! Desperta-te! Veste-te de tua força, ó Sião! Veste-te de teus belos vestidos, ó Jerusalém, cidade Santa! Porque nunca mais entrará em ti nem incircunciso nem impuro.
2 Shake thyself from the dust; arise, and sit down, O Jerusalem; loose thyself from the bands of thy neck, O captive daughter of Zion.
Sacode-te do pó, levanta-te, [e] senta-te, ó Jerusalém! Solta-te das ataduras de teu pescoço, ó cativa filha de Sião.
3 For thus saith the LORD: Ye were sold for nought; and ye shall be redeemed without money.
Porque assim diz o SENHOR: Por nada fostes vendidos, também sem [ser por] dinheiro sereis resgatados.
4 For thus saith the Lord GOD: My people went down aforetime into Egypt to sojourn there; and the Assyrian oppressed them without cause.
Porque assim diz o Senhor DEUS: Meu povo em tempos passados desceu ao Egito para lá peregrinar; e a Assíria sem razão o oprimiu.
5 Now therefore, what do I here, saith the LORD, seeing that My people is taken away for nought? They that rule over them do howl, saith the LORD, and My name continually all the day is blasphemed.
E agora, o que tenho [de fazer] aqui?, Diz o SENHOR, Pois meu povo foi tomado sem motivo algum; e os que dominam sobre ele uivam, diz o SENHOR; E meu nome continuamente, durante o dia todo, é blasfemado.
6 Therefore My people shall know My name; therefore they shall know in that day that I, even He that spoke, behold, here I am.
Por isso meu povo conhecerá o meu nome, por esta causa naquele dia; porque eu mesmo sou o que digo, eis-me aqui.
7 How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of the messenger of good tidings, that announceth peace, the harbinger of good tidings, that announceth salvation; that saith unto Zion: 'Thy God reigneth!'
Como são agradáveis sobre os montes os pés daquele que dá boas notícias, que anuncia a paz; que fala notícias do bem; que anuncia a salvação; do que diz a Sião: Teu Deus reina!
8 Hark, thy watchmen! they lift up the voice, together do they sing; for they shall see, eye to eye, the LORD returning to Zion.
[Eis] a voz dos teus vigilantes; eles levantam a voz, juntamente gritam de alegria; porque olho a olho verão quando o SENHOR trazer de volta a Sião.
9 Break forth into joy, sing together, ye waste places of Jerusalem; for the LORD hath comforted His people, He hath redeemed Jerusalem.
Gritai de alegria, jubilai juntamente, ó lugares abandonados de Jerusalém; porque o SENHOR consolou a seu povo, redimiu a Jerusalém.
10 The LORD hath made bare His holy arm in the eyes of all the nations; and all the ends of the earth shall see the salvation of our God.
O SENHOR expôs o seu santo braço perante os olhos de todas as nações; e todos os confins da terra verão a salvação de nosso Deus.
11 Depart ye, depart ye, go ye out from thence, touch no unclean thing; go ye out of the midst of her; be ye clean, ye that bear the vessels of the LORD.
Retirai-vos! Retirai-vos! Saí daí! Não toqueis em coisa impura! Saí do meio dela! Purificai-vos vós que levais os vasos do SENHOR!
12 For ye shall not go out in haste, neither shall ye go by flight; for the LORD will go before you, and the God of Israel will be your rearward.
Pois vós não saireis apressadamente, nem ireis fugindo; porque o SENHOR irá adiante de vossa face, o Deus de Israel será vossa retaguarda.
13 Behold, My servant shall prosper, he shall be exalted and lifted up, and shall be very high.
Eis que meu servo agirá prudentemente; ele será exaltado e elevado, e muito sublime.
14 According as many were appalled at thee — so marred was his visage unlike that of a man, and his form unlike that of the sons of men —
Como muitos se espantaram de ti, de que a aparência dele estava tão desfigurada, mais do que qualquer outro; que seu aspecto já não [parecia] com os filhos dos homens.
15 So shall he startle many nations, kings shall shut their mouths because of him; for that which had not been told them shall they see, and that which they had not heard shall they perceive.
Assim ele salpicará a muitas nações, e sobre ele os reis fecharão suas bocas; porque aquilo que nunca lhes havia sido anunciado, [isso] verão; e aquilo que nunca tinham ouvido, [disso] entenderão.
