Isaiah 47

1 Come down, and sit in the dust, O virgin daughter of Babylon, sit on the ground without a throne, O daughter of the Chaldeans; for thou shalt no more be called tender and delicate.

۱ ای باکره دختر بابل فرود شده، بر خاک بنشین و‌ای دختر کلدانیان بر زمین بی‌کرسی بنشین زیرا تو را دیگر نازنین و لطیف نخواهند خواهند.

2 Take the millstones, and grind meal; remove thy veil, strip off the train, uncover the leg, pass through the rivers.

۲ دستاس را گرفته، آرد را خردکن. نقاب را برداشته، دامنت را بر کش و ساقها رابرهنه کرده، از نهرها عبور کن.

3 Thy nakedness shall be uncovered, yea, thy shame shall be seen; I will take vengeance, and will let no man intercede.

۳ عورت تو کشف شده، رسوایی تو ظاهر خواهد شد. من انتقام کشیده، بر احدی شفقت نخواهم نمود.

4 Our Redeemer, the LORD of hosts is His name, The Holy One of Israel.

۴ و امانجات‌دهنده ما اسم او یهوه صبایوت و قدوس اسرائیل می‌باشد.

5 Sit thou silent, and get thee into darkness, O daughter of the Chaldeans; for thou shalt no more be called the mistress of kingdoms.

۵ ‌ای دختر کلدانیان خاموش بنشین و به ظلمت داخل شو زیرا که دیگر تو راملکه ممالک نخواهند خواند.

6 I was wroth with My people, I profaned Mine inheritance, and gave them into thy hand; thou didst show them no mercy; upon the aged hast thou very heavily laid thy yoke.

۶ بر قوم خود خشم نموده و میراث خویش را بی‌حرمت کرده، ایشان را به‌دست تو تسلیم نمودم. بر ایشان رحمت نکرده، یوغ خود را بر پیران بسیار سنگین ساختی.

7 And thou saidst: 'For ever shall I be mistress'; so that thou didst not lay these things to thy heart, neither didst remember the end thereof.

۷ و گفتی تا به ابد ملکه خواهم بود. و این چیزها رادر دل خود جا ندادی و عاقبت آنها را به یادنیاوردی.

8 Now therefore hear this, thou that art given to pleasures, that sittest securely, that sayest in thy heart: 'I am, and there is none else beside me; I shall not sit as a widow, neither shall I know the loss of children';

۸ پس الان‌ای که در عشرت بسر می‌بری و دراطمینان ساکن هستی این را بشنو. ای که در دل خود می‌گویی من هستم و غیر از من دیگری نیست و بیوه نخواهم شد و بی‌اولادی را نخواهم دانست.

9 But these two things shall come to thee in a moment in one day, the loss of children, and widowhood; in their full measure shall they come upon thee, for the multitude of thy sorceries, and the great abundance of thine enchantments.

۹ پس این دو چیز یعنی بی‌اولادی وبیوگی بغته در یکروز به تو عارض خواهد شد و باوجود کثرت سحر تو و افراط افسونگری زیاد توآنها بشدت بر تو استیلا خواهد یافت.

10 And thou hast been secure in thy wickedness, thou hast said: 'None seeth me'; thy wisdom and thy knowledge, it hath perverted thee; and thou hast said in thy heart. 'I am, and there is none else beside me.'

۱۰ زیرا که بر شرارت خود اعتماد نموده، گفتی کسی نیست که مرا بیند. و حکمت و علم تو، تو را گمراه ساخت و در دل خود گفتی: من هستم و غیر از من دیگری نیست.

11 Yet shall evil came upon thee; thou shalt not know how to charm it away; and calamity shall fall upon thee; thou shalt not be able to put it away; and ruin shall come upon thee suddenly, before thou knowest.

۱۱ پس بلایی که افسون آن رانخواهی دانست بر تو عارض خواهد شد ومصیبتی که به دفع آن قادر نخواهی شد تو را فروخواهد گرفت و هلاکتی که ندانسته‌ای ناگهان برتو استیلا خواهد یافت.

12 Stand now with thine enchantments, and with the multitude of thy sorceries, wherein thou hast laboured from thy youth; if so be thou shalt be able to profit, if so be thou mayest prevail.

۱۲ پس در افسونگری خود و کثرت سحر خویش که در آنها ازطفولیت مشقت کشیده‌ای قائم باش شاید که منفعت توانی برد و شاید که غالب توانی شد.

13 Thou art wearied in the multitude of thy counsels; let now the astrologers, the stargazers, the monthly prognosticators, stand up, and save thee from the things that shall come upon thee.

۱۳ از فراوانی مشورتهایت خسته شده‌ای پس تقسیم کنندگان افلاک و رصد بندان کواکب وآنانی که در غره ماهها اخبار می‌دهند بایستند وتو را از آنچه بر تو واقع شدنی است نجات دهند.

14 Behold, they shall be as stubble; the fire shall burn them; they shall not deliver themselves from the power of the flame; it shall not be a coal to warm at, nor a fire to sit before.

۱۴ اینک مثل کاهبن شده، آتش ایشان را خواهدسوزانید که خویشتن را از سورت زبانه آن نخواهند رهانید و آن اخگری که خود را نزد آن گرم سازند و آتشی که در برابرش بنشینندنخواهد بود.

15 Thus shall they be unto thee with whom thou hast laboured; they that have trafficked with thee from thy youth shall wander every one to his quarter; there shall be none to save thee.

۱۵ آنانی که از ایشان مشقت کشیدی برای تو چنین خواهند شد و آنانی که از طفولیت با تو تجارت می‌کردند هر کس بجای خود آواره خواهد گردید و کسی‌که تو را رهایی دهدنخواهد بود.
