Isaiah 46
1 Bel boweth down, Nebo stoopeth; their idols are upon the beasts, and upon the cattle; the things that ye carried about are made a load, a burden to the weary beast.
Bel s'incline. Nebo se baisse. Leurs idoles sont portées par des animaux, et sur le bétail. Les choses que vous avez transportées sont des charges lourdes, un fardeau pour ceux qui sont fatigués.
2 They stoop, they bow down together, they could not deliver the burden; and themselves are gone into captivity.
Ils s'abaissent et se prosternent ensemble. Ils ne pouvaient pas délivrer le fardeau, mais ils sont partis en captivité.
3 Hearken unto Me, O house of Jacob, and all the remnant of the house of Israel, that are borne by Me from the birth, that are carried from the womb:
« Écoutez-moi, maison de Jacob, et tout le reste de la maison d'Israël, qu'ils portent depuis leur naissance, qui ont été portés depuis l'utérus.
4 Even to old age I am the same, and even to hoar hairs will I carry you; I have made, and I will bear; yea, I will carry, and will deliver.
Je suis lui même jusqu'à la vieillesse, et même jusqu'aux cheveux blancs, je te porterai. J'ai fait, et je supporterai. Oui, je vais porter, et je vais livrer.
5 To whom will ye liken Me, and make Me equal, and compare Me, that we may be like?
« A qui me comparerez-vous, et me considérerez-vous comme mon égal? et me comparer, comme si nous étions pareils?
6 Ye that lavish gold out of the bag, and weigh silver in the balance; ye that hire a goldsmith, that he make it a god, to fall down thereto, yea, to worship.
Certains versent l'or du sac, et peser l'argent dans la balance. Ils engagent un orfèvre, et il en fait un dieu. Ils tombent... Oui, ils adorent.
7 He is borne upon the shoulder, he is carried, and set in his place, and he standeth, from his place he doth not remove; yea, though one cry unto him, he cannot answer, nor save him out of his trouble.
Ils le portent sur leur épaule. Ils le portent, le mettent à sa place, et il reste là. Il ne peut pas bouger de sa place. Oui, on peut crier vers elle, mais elle ne peut pas répondre. Cela ne peut pas le sauver de ses problèmes.
8 Remember this, and stand fast; bring it to mind, O ye transgressors.
« Souvenez-vous de cela, et montrez-vous des hommes. Rappelez-le encore une fois, vous les transgresseurs.
9 Remember the former things of old: that I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like Me;
Souviens-toi des choses anciennes; car je suis Dieu, et il n'y en a pas d'autre. Je suis Dieu, et il n'y a personne comme moi.
10 Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times things that are not yet done; saying: 'My counsel shall stand, and all My pleasure will I do';
Je déclare la fin dès le commencement, et depuis les temps anciens des choses qui ne sont pas encore faites. Je le dis: Mon conseil sera maintenu, et je ferai tout ce qui me plaît.
11 Calling a bird of prey from the east, the man of My counsel from a far country; yea, I have spoken, I will also bring it to pass, I have purposed, I will also do it.
J'appelle un oiseau vorace de l'est, l'homme de mon conseil d'un pays lointain. Oui, j'ai parlé. Je le ferai aussi passer. J'ai tout prévu. Je le ferai aussi.
12 Hearken unto Me, ye stout-hearted, that are far from righteousness:
Écoutez-moi, vous qui vous obstinez, qui sont loin de la justice!
13 I bring near My righteousness, it shall not be far off, and My salvation shall not tarry; and I will place salvation in Zion for Israel My glory.
Je fais approcher ma justice. Ce n'est pas loin, et mon salut n'attendra pas. J'accorderai le salut à Sion, ma gloire à Israël.
