Isaiah 43
1 But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O Jacob, and He that formed thee, O Israel: Fear not, for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name, thou art Mine.
૧પણ હવે હે યાકૂબ, તારા ઉત્પન્નકર્તા અને હે ઇઝરાયલ, તારા બનાવનાર યહોવાહ એવું કહે છે, “તું બીશ નહિ, કેમ કે મેં તારો ઉદ્ધાર કર્યો છે; મેં તારું નામ લઈને તને બોલાવ્યો છે, તું મારો છે.
2 When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee, and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee; when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned, neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.
૨જ્યારે તું પાણીમાં થઈને જઈશ, ત્યારે હું તારી સાથે હોઈશ; અને તું નદીઓમાં થઈને જઈશ, ત્યારે તેઓ તને ડુબાડશે નહિ. જ્યારે તું અગ્નિમાં ચાલીશ, ત્યારે તને આંચ લાગશે નહિ અને જ્વાળા તને બાળશે નહિ.
3 For I am the LORD thy God, The Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour; I have given Egypt as thy ransom, Ethiopia and Seba for thee.
૩કેમ કે હું યહોવાહ તારો ઈશ્વર છું, હું ઇઝરાયલનો પવિત્ર તારો ઉદ્ધારનાર છું. મેં તારા ઉદ્ધારના બદલામાં મિસર આપ્યો છે, તારે બદલે કૂશ તથા સબા આપ્યાં છે.
4 Since thou art precious in My sight, and honourable, and I have loved thee; therefore will I give men for thee, and peoples for thy life.
૪કેમ કે તું મારી દૃષ્ટિમાં મૂલ્યવાન તથા સન્માન પામેલો છે, મેં તારા પર પ્રેમ કર્યો છે. તેથી હું તારે બદલે માણસો અને તારા જીવને બદલે લોકો આપીશ.
5 Fear not, for I am with thee; I will bring thy seed from the east, and gather thee from the west;
૫તું બીશ નહિ, કેમ કે હું તારી સાથે છું; હું તારાં સંતાન પૂર્વથી લાવીશ અને પશ્ચિમથી તેઓને એકત્ર કરીશ.
6 I will say to the north: 'Give up,' and to the south: 'Keep not back, bring My sons from far, and My daughters from the end of the earth;
૬હું ઉત્તરને કહીશ, ‘તેઓને છોડી દે;’ અને દક્ષિણને કહીશ, ‘તેઓને અટકાવીશ નહિ;’ મારા દીકરાઓને વેગળેથી અને મારી દીકરીઓને પૃથ્વીને છેડેથી લાવ,
7 Every one that is called by My name, and whom I have created for My glory, I have formed him, yea, I have made him.'
૭જે સર્વને મારા નામમાં બોલાવવામાં આવ્યા છે, જેઓને મેં મારા મહિમાને અર્થે ઉત્પન્ન કર્યા છે તેઓને લાવ; મેં તેઓને બનાવ્યા છે; હા મેં તેઓને પેદા કર્યા છે.
8 The blind people that have eyes shall be brought forth, and the deaf that have ears.
૮જે લોકો આંખો હોવા છતાં અંધ છે અને કાન છતાં બધિર છે, તેઓને આગળ લાવ.
9 All the nations are gathered together, and the peoples are assembled; who among them can declare this, and announce to us former things? Let them bring their witnesses, that they may be justified; and let them hear, and say: 'It is truth.'
૯સર્વ પ્રજાઓ એકઠી થાઓ અને લોકો ભેગા થાઓ. તેઓમાંથી કોણ આવી વાત જાહેર કરે અને અગાઉ બનેલી બિના અમને કહી સંભળાવે? તેઓ પોતાને સાચા ઠરાવવા પોતાના સાક્ષીઓ હાજર કરે અને તેઓ સાંભળીને કહે, ‘એ ખરું છે.’
10 Ye are My witnesses, saith the LORD, and My servant whom I have chosen; that ye may know and believe Me, and understand that I am He; before Me there was no God formed, neither shall any be after Me.
૧૦યહોવાહ કહે છે, “તમે મારા સાક્ષી છો,” અને મારા સેવકને મેં પસંદ કર્યો છે, જેથી તમે મને જાણો અને મારો ભરોસો કરો તથા સમજો કે હું તે છું. મારા અગાઉ કોઈ ઈશ્વર થયો નથી અને મારી પાછળ કોઈ થવાનો નથી.
11 I, even I, am the LORD; and beside Me there is no saviour.
૧૧હું, હું જ યહોવાહ છું; અને મારા વિના બીજો કોઈ ઉદ્ધારક નથી.
12 I have declared, and I have saved, and I have announced, and there was no strange god among you; therefore ye are My witnesses, saith the LORD, and I am God.
૧૨મેં તો જાહેર કર્યું છે, બચાવ કર્યો છે અને સંભળાવ્યું છે, કે તમારામાં કોઈ અન્ય દેવ નથી. તમે મારા સાક્ષી છો” અને “હું જ ઈશ્વર છું” એમ યહોવાહ કહે છે.
13 Yea, since the day was I am He, and there is none that can deliver out of My hand; I will work, and who can reverse it?
૧૩વળી આજથી હું તે છું અને કોઈને મારા હાથમાંથી છોડાવનાર કોઈ નથી. હું જે કામ કરું છું તેને કોણ ઊંધું વાળશે?”
14 Thus saith the LORD, your Redeemer, The Holy One of Israel: For your sake I have sent to Babylon, and I will bring down all of them as fugitives, even the Chaldeans, in the ships of their shouting.
૧૪તમારો ઉદ્ધાર કરનાર, ઇઝરાયલના પવિત્ર યહોવાહ કહે છે: “તમારે માટે હું બાબિલને મોકલીશ અને તેઓને બંદીવાસના રૂપમાં નીચે લઈ જઈશ અને બાબિલનો આનંદ, વિલાપના ગીતમાં ફેરવાઈ જશે.
15 I am the LORD, your Holy One, the Creator of Israel, your King.
૧૫હું યહોવાહ, તમારો પવિત્ર, ઇઝરાયલને ઉત્પન્ન કરનાર, તમારો રાજા છું.”
16 Thus saith the LORD, who maketh a way in the sea, and a path in the mighty waters;
૧૬જે યહોવાહ સમુદ્રમાં માર્ગ અને જબરાં પાણીમાં રસ્તો કરી આપે છે,
17 Who bringeth forth the chariot and horse, the army and the power — they lie down together, they shall not rise, they are extinct, they are quenched as a wick:
૧૭જે રથ અને ઘોડાને, લશ્કરને તથા શૂરવીરને બહાર લાવે છે તે હું છું. તેઓ બધા સાથે પડી જશે; તેઓ ફરી ઊઠશે નહિ; તેઓ બુઝાઈ ગયા છે, તેઓ દિવેટની જેમ હોલવાયા છે.
18 Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old.
૧૮તમે અગાઉની વાતોનું સ્મરણ કરશો નહિ, પુરાતન બિનાઓ ધ્યાનમાં લેશો નહિ.
19 Behold, I will do a new thing; now shall it spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.
૧૯જુઓ, હું એક નવું કામ કરનાર છું; તે હમણાં શરૂ થશે; શું તમે તે સમજી શકતા નથી? હું તો અરણ્યમાં માર્ગ તથા ઉજ્જડ પ્રદેશમાં નદીઓ કરી આપીશ.
20 The beasts of the field shall honour Me, the jackals and the ostriches; because I give waters in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert, to give drink to My people, Mine elect;
૨૦જંગલનાં હિંસક પશુઓ, શિયાળો તથા શાહમૃગો મને માન આપશે, કારણ કે, મારા પસંદ કરેલા લોકોને પીવા માટે હું અરણ્યમાં પાણી તથા ઉજ્જડ પ્રદેશમાં નદીઓ કરી આપું છું.
21 The people which I formed for Myself, that they might tell of My praise.
૨૧મેં આ લોકને મારા પોતાને માટે બનાવ્યા છે, જેથી તેઓ મારી સ્તુતિ કરશે.
22 Yet thou hast not called upon Me, O Jacob, neither hast thou wearied thyself about Me, O Israel.
૨૨પણ હે યાકૂબ, તેં મને વિનંતી કરી નથી; હે ઇઝરાયલ, તું મારાથી કાયર થઈ ગયો છે.
23 Thou hast not brought Me the small cattle of thy burnt-offerings; neither hast thou honoured Me with thy sacrifices. I have not burdened thee with a meal-offering, nor wearied thee with frankincense.
૨૩તારાં દહનીયાર્પણોનાં એક પણ ઘેટાંને તું મારી પાસે લાવ્યો નથી; તેમ તારા યજ્ઞોથી તેં મને માન આપ્યું નથી. મેં ખાદ્યાર્પણ માગીને તારા પર બોજો ચઢાવ્યો નથી, કે ધૂપ માગીને તને કાયર કર્યો નથી.
24 Thou hast bought Me no sweet cane with money, neither hast thou satisfied Me with the fat of thy sacrifices; but thou hast burdened Me with thy sins, thou hast wearied Me with thine iniquities.
૨૪તેં મારા માટે નાણાં ખર્ચ્યા નથી, અગર વેચાતું લીધું નથી, કે તારા યજ્ઞોની ચરબીથી મને તૃપ્ત કર્યો નથી; પરંતુ તેં મારા પર તારા પાપનો બોજો મૂક્યો છે અને તારા અન્યાયે મને કાયર કર્યો છે.
25 I, even I, am He that blotteth out thy transgressions for Mine own sake; and thy sins I will not remember.
૨૫હું, હા, હું એ જ છું, જે પોતાની ખાતર તારા અપરાધોને માફ કરું છું; અને તારાં પાપોને હું સંભારીશ નહિ.
26 Put Me in remembrance, let us plead together; declare thou, that thou mayest be justified.
૨૬જે થયું તે મને યાદ કરાવ. આપણે પરસ્પર વિવાદ કરીએ; તું તારી હકીકત રજૂ કર જેથી તું ન્યાયી ઠરે.
27 Thy first father sinned, and thine intercessors have transgressed against Me.
૨૭તારા આદિપિતાએ પાપ કર્યું અને તારા આગેવાનોએ મારી વિરુદ્ધ અપરાધ કર્યો છે.
28 Therefore I have profaned the princes of the sanctuary, and I have given Jacob to condemnation, and Israel to reviling.
૨૮તેથી મેં અભિષિક્ત સરદારોને ભ્રષ્ટ કર્યા છે; હું યાકૂબને વિનાશના બંધનમાં તથા ઇઝરાયલીઓને નિંદાપાત્ર કરી નાખીશ.
