Isaiah 39

1 At that time Merodach-baladan the son of Baladan, king of Babylon, sent a letter and a present to Hezekiah; for he heard that he had been sick, and was recovered.

೧ಅದೇ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಲದಾನನ ಮಗನೂ ಬಾಬೆಲಿನ ಅರಸನೂ ಆದ ಮೆರೋದಕ ಬಲದಾನನೆಂಬುವನು ಹಿಜ್ಕೀಯನು ಅಸ್ವಸ್ಥನಾಗಿದ್ದು ಗುಣಹೊಂದಿದನು ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಪತ್ರವನ್ನೂ, ಬಹುಮಾನವನ್ನೂ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದನು.

2 And Hezekiah was glad of them, and showed them his treasure-house, the silver, and the gold, and the spices, and the precious oil, and all the house of his armour, and all that was found in his treasures; there was nothing in his house, nor in all his dominion, that Hezekiah showed them not.

೨ಹಿಜ್ಕೀಯನು ಬಂದ ದೂತರನ್ನು ಸಂತೋಷದಿಂದ ನೋಡಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಬೆಳ್ಳಿ, ಬಂಗಾರ, ಸುಗಂಧದ್ರವ್ಯ, ಪರಿಮಳತೈಲ ಮೊದಲಾದ ಪದಾರ್ಥಗಳಿರುವ ಮನೆಯನ್ನೂ, ಆಯುಧಶಾಲೆಯನ್ನೂ, ತನ್ನ ಭಂಡಾರದಲ್ಲಿದುದ್ದೆಲ್ಲವನ್ನೂ ತೋರಿಸಿದನು. ಅವನ ಅರಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಅವರಿಗೆ ತೋರಿಸದಿದ್ದ ವಸ್ತುವು ಒಂದೂ ಇರಲಿಲ್ಲ.

3 Then came Isaiah the prophet unto king Hezekiah, and said unto him: 'What said these men? and from whence came they unto thee?' And Hezekiah said: 'They are come from a far country unto me, even from Babylon.'

೩ಆಗ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಯಾದ ಯೆಶಾಯನು ಅರಸನಾದ ಹಿಜ್ಕೀಯನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದು ಅವನಿಗೆ, “ಆ ಮನುಷ್ಯರು ಎಲ್ಲಿಯವರು? ಏನು ಹೇಳಿದರು?” ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಲು ಅವನು, “ಅವರು ಬಹುದೂರ ದೇಶದಿಂದ ಬಾಬೆಲಿನಿಂದ ನನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದವರು” ಎಂದು ಉತ್ತರಕೊಟ್ಟನು.

4 Then said he: 'What have they seen in thy house?' And Hezekiah answered: 'All that is in my house have they seen; there is nothing among my treasures that I have not shown them.'

೪ಯೆಶಾಯನು ತಿರುಗಿ ಹಿಜ್ಕೀಯನಿಗೆ, “ಅವರು ನಿನ್ನ ಅರಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಏನು ನೋಡಿದರು?” ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಲು ಅವನು, “ಅರಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿರುವುದೆಲ್ಲವನ್ನೂ ನೋಡಿದರು. ನನ್ನ ಭಂಡಾರದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ತೋರಿಸದಿದ್ದ ವಸ್ತು ಒಂದೂ ಇರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ” ಎಂದನು.

5 Then said Isaiah to Hezekiah: 'Hear the word of the LORD of hosts:

೫ಆಗ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಯಾದ ಯೆಶಾಯನು ಹಿಜ್ಕೀಯನಿಗೆ, “ಸೇನಾಧೀಶ್ವರನಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಕೇಳು.

6 Behold, the days come, that all that is in thy house, and that which thy fathers have laid up in store until this day, shall be carried to Babylon; nothing shall be left, saith the LORD.

೬ಇಗೋ, ನಿನ್ನ ಪೂರ್ವಿಕರ ಕಾಲದಿಂದ ಇಂದಿನವರೆಗೂ ಅರಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಗ್ರಹವಾದದ್ದೆಲ್ಲವೂ ಬಾಬಿಲೋನಿಗೆ ಒಯ್ಯಲ್ಪಡುವ ದಿನವು ಬರುವುದು, ಇಲ್ಲೇನೂ ಉಳಿಯುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.

7 And of thy sons that shall issue from thee, whom thou shalt beget, shall they take away; and they shall be officers in the palace of the king of Babylon.'

೭“ಬಾಬೆಲಿನ ಅರಸನು ಬಂದು, ನೀನು ಪಡೆದ ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ತಮ್ಮ ಅರಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕಂಚುಕಿಗಳನ್ನಾಗಿ ನೇಮಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವರು ಅನ್ನುತ್ತಾನೆ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.

8 Then said Hezekiah unto Isaiah: 'Good is the word of the LORD which thou hast spoken.' He said moreover: 'If but there shall be peace and truth in my days.'

೮“ಹೇಗೂ ನನ್ನ ಜೀವಮಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ತಪ್ಪದೆ ಸೌಭಾಗ್ಯವಿರುವುದು” ಎಂದುಕೊಂಡು ಹಿಜ್ಕೀಯನು ಯೆಶಾಯನಿಗೆ, “ನೀನು ತಿಳಿಸಿದ ಯೆಹೋವನ ಮಾತು ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದಾಗಿದೆ” ಎಂದು ಉತ್ತರಕೊಟ್ಟನು.
