Isaiah 27
1 In that day the LORD with His sore and great and strong sword will punish leviathan the slant serpent, and leviathan the tortuous serpent; and He will slay the dragon that is in the sea.
An jenem Tage wird Jehova mit seinem Schwerte, dem harten und großen und starken, heimsuchen den Leviathan, die flüchtige Schlange, und den Leviathan, die gewundene Schlange, und wird das Ungeheuer töten, welches im Meere [S. die Anm. zu Kap. 19,5] ist. [Das Ungeheuer, welches im Meere ist: stehendes Sinnbild von Ägypten; vergl. Kap. 51,9; Hes. 29,3]
2 In that day sing ye of her: 'A vineyard of foaming wine!'
An jenem Tage wird man singen: Ein Weinberg feurigen Weines! [And. l.: Ein anmutiger Weinberg!] Besinget ihn!
3 I the LORD do guard it, I water it every moment; lest Mine anger visit it, I guard it night and day.
Ich, Jehova, behüte ihn, bewässere ihn alle Augenblicke; daß nichts ihn heimsuche, behüte ich ihn Nacht und Tag.
4 Fury is not in Me; would that I were as the briers and thorns in flame! I would with one step burn it altogether.
Grimm habe ich nicht. O hätte ich Dornen und Disteln vor mir, im Kriege würde ich auf sie losschreiten, sie verbrennen allzumal!
5 Or else let him take hold of My strength, that he may make peace with Me; yea, let him make peace with Me.
Oder man müßte meinen Schutz ergreifen, Frieden mit mir machen, Frieden machen mit mir.
6 In days to come shall Jacob take root, Israel shall blossom and bud; and the face of the world shall be filled with fruitage.
In Zukunft wird Jakob Wurzel schlagen, Israel blühen und knospen; und sie werden mit Früchten füllen die Fläche des Erdkreises. -
7 Hath He smitten him as He smote those that smote him? Or is he slain according to the slaughter of them that were slain by Him?
Hat er es geschlagen, wie er seinen Schläger schlug? Oder ist es ermordet worden, wie er die Ermordeten jenes ermordete?
8 In full measure, when Thou sendest her away, Thou dost contend with her; He hath removed her with His rough blast in the day of the east wind.
Mit Maßen, als du es [Eig. sie ihr sie [Israel als Weib betrachtet]] verstießest, hast du mit ihm [Eig. sie ihr sie [Israel als Weib betrachtet]] gerechtet; er scheuchte es [Eig. sie ihr sie [Israel als Weib betrachtet]] hinweg mit seinem heftigen Hauche am Tage des Ostwindes.
9 Therefore by this shall the iniquity of Jacob be expiated, and this is all the fruit of taking away his sin: when he maketh all the stones of the altar as chalkstones that are beaten in pieces, so that the Asherim and the sun-images shall rise no more.
Deshalb wird dadurch gesühnt werden die Ungerechtigkeit [O. Schuld] Jakobs. Und dies ist die ganze Frucht der Hinwegnahme seiner Sünde: wenn es alle Altarsteine gleich zerschlagenen Kalksteinen machen wird, und Ascherim und Sonnensäulen sich nicht mehr erheben.
10 For the fortified city is solitary, a habitation abandoned and forsaken, like the wilderness; there shall the calf feed, and there shall he lie down, and consume the branches thereof.
Denn die feste Stadt ist einsam, eine preisgegebene und verlassene Wohnstätte wie die Steppe; daselbst weiden Kälber, und daselbst lagern sie und fressen ihre Zweige ab;
11 When the boughs thereof are withered, they shall be broken off; the women shall come, and set them on fire; for it is a people of no understanding; therefore He that made them will not have compassion upon them, and He that formed them will not be gracious unto them.
wenn ihre Reiser dürr geworden sind, werden sie abgebrochen: Weiber kommen und zünden sie an. Denn es ist kein verständiges Volk; darum erbarmt sich seiner nicht, der es gemacht, und der es gebildet hat, erweist ihm keine Gnade.
12 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the LORD will beat off His fruit from the flood of the River unto the Brook of Egypt, and ye shall be gathered one by one, O ye children of Israel.
Und es wird geschehen an jenem Tage, da wird Jehova Getreide ausschlagen von der Strömung des Euphrat [W. des Stromes] bis zum Bache Ägyptens; und ihr werdet zusammengelesen werden, einer zu dem anderen, ihr Kinder Israel.
13 And it shall come to pass in that day, that a great horn shall be blown; and they shall come that were lost in the land of Assyria, and they that were dispersed in the land of Egypt; and they shall worship the LORD in the holy mountain at Jerusalem.
Und es wird geschehen an jenem Tage, da wird in eine große Posaune gestoßen werden, und die Verlorenen im Lande Assyrien und die Vertriebenen im Lande Ägypten werden kommen und Jehova anbeten auf dem heiligen Berge zu Jerusalem.
