Isaiah 10
1 Woe unto them that decree unrighteous decrees, and to the writers that write iniquity;
૧જેઓ અન્યાયી કાયદા ઘડે છે અને અયોગ્ય ઠરાવ પસાર કરે છે, તેઓને અફસોસ.
2 To turn aside the needy from judgment, and to take away the right of the poor of My people, that widows may be their spoil, and that they may make the fatherless their prey!
૨તેઓ ગરીબોને ઇનસાફથી વંચિત કરે છે અને તેઓ મારા લોકોમાંના દરિદ્રીઓના અધિકારો છીનવી લે છે. વિધવાઓને લૂંટે છે અને અનાથોને પોતાનો શિકાર બનાવે છે!
3 And what will ye do in the day of visitation, and in the ruin which shall come from far? To whom will ye flee for help? And where will ye leave your glory?
૩ન્યાયને દિવસે દૂરથી તમારા પર આવનાર વિનાશનું તમે શું કરશો? તમે સહાયને માટે કોની પાસે દોડશો અને તમારી સંપત્તિ ક્યાં મૂકશો?
4 They can do nought except crouch under the captives, and fall under the slain. For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.
૪બંદીવાનોની ભેગા નમી જવા સિવાય અને કતલ થયેલાની નીચે પડી રહ્યા વગર, કંઈ બાકી રહેશે નહિ. આ સર્વ છતાં યહોવાહનો રોષ સમી ગયો નથી; અને તેમનો હાથ હજી ઉગામેલો જ છે.
5 O Asshur, the rod of Mine anger, in whose hand as a staff is Mine indignation!
૫આશ્શૂરને અફસોસ, તે મારા રોષનો દંડ અને લાકડી છે તેનાથી હું મારો કોપ કાબૂમાં રાખું છું!
6 I do send him against an ungodly nation, and against the people of My wrath do I give him a charge, to take the spoil, and to take the prey, and to tread them down like the mire of the streets.
૬અધર્મી પ્રજાની સામે અને મારા કોપને પાત્ર થયેલા લોકોની વિરુદ્ધ હું તેને મોકલીશ. હું તેને આજ્ઞા આપીશ કે તે લૂંટ કરે, શિકાર કરે અને તેઓને રસ્તા પરના કીચડની જેમ ખૂંદી નાખે.
7 Howbeit he meaneth not so, neither doth his heart think so; but it is in his heart to destroy, and to cut off nations not a few.
૭પરંતુ તેના આવા ઇરાદા નથી કે તે આવો વિચાર કરતો નથી, વિનાશ કરવાનો અને ઘણી પ્રજાઓનો સંહાર કરવો તે જ તેના મનમાં છે.
8 For he saith: 'Are not my princes all of them kings?
૮કેમ કે તે કહે છે, “મારા સર્વ રાજકુમારો રાજા નથી?
9 Is not Calno as Carchemish? Is not Hamath as Arpad? Is not Samaria as Damascus?
૯કાલ્નો કાર્કમીશ જેવું નથી? હમાથ આર્પાદ ના જેવું નથી? સમરુન એ દમસ્કસ જેવું નથી?
10 As my hand hath reached the kingdoms of the idols, whose graven images did exceed them of Jerusalem and of Samaria;
૧૦જેઓની કોતરેલી મૂર્તિઓ યરુશાલેમ અને સમરુન કરતાં વધારે હતી, તેવાં મૂર્તિપૂજક રાજ્યો મારે હાથે આવ્યાં છે;
11 Shall I not, as I have done unto Samaria and her idols, so do to Jerusalem and her idols?'
૧૧અને જેમ સમરુનને તથા તેની નકામી મૂર્તિઓને મેં કર્યું, તેમ યરુશાલેમને તથા ત્યાંની મૂર્તિઓને શું હું નહિ કરું?”
12 Wherefore it shall come to pass, that when the Lord hath performed His whole work upon mount Zion and on Jerusalem, I will punish the fruit of the arrogant heart of the king of Assyria, and the glory of his haughty looks.
૧૨જ્યારે પ્રભુ યહોવાહ સિયોન પર્વત પર અને યરુશાલેમમાં પોતાનું કામ પૂરું કરશે, તે કહેશે: “હું આશ્શૂરના રાજાના હૃદયની અભિમાની વાણીને તથા તેના ઘમંડી દેખાવને શિક્ષા કરીશ.”
13 For he hath said: by the strength of my hand I have done it, and by my wisdom, for I am prudent; in that I have removed the bounds of the peoples, and have robbed their treasures, and have brought down as one mighty the inhabitants;
૧૩કેમ કે તે કહે છે, “મારા બળથી અને મારી બુદ્ધિથી મેં આ કર્યુ છે; કેમ કે મને સમજ છે, મેં લોકોની સરહદોને ખસેડી છે. મેં તેઓનો ખજાનો ચોર્યો છે, અને શૂરવીરની જેમ સિંહાસન પર બેસનારને નીચે પાડ્યા છે.
14 And my hand hath found as a nest the riches of the peoples; and as one gathereth eggs that are forsaken, have I gathered all the earth; and there was none that moved the wing, or that opened the mouth, or chirped.
૧૪વળી પક્ષીઓના માળાની જેમ દેશોની સંપત્તિ મારે હાથ આવી છે અને જેમ તજેલાં ઈંડાંને એકઠાં કરવામાં આવે છે તેમ મેં આખી દુનિયા એકઠી કરી છે. પાંખ ફફડાવે, મુખ ઉઘાડે કે ચીંચીં કરે, એવું કોઈ નથી.”
15 Should the axe boast itself against him that heweth therewith? Should the saw magnify itself against him that moveth it? as if a rod should move them that lift it up, or as if a staff should lift up him that is not wood.
૧૫શું કુહાડી તેના વાપરનાર આગળ બડાશ મારશે? શું કરવત તેના વાપરનારની પર સરસાઈ કરશે? શું લાકડી તેને પકડનારને ઉઠાવે અને લાકડું માણસને ઉઠાવે તેમ એ છે.
16 Therefore will the Lord, the LORD of hosts, send among his fat ones leanness; and under his glory there shall be kindled a burning like the burning of fire.
૧૬તે માટે સૈન્યોના પ્રભુ યહોવાહ તેના બળવાન યોદ્ધાઓમાં નિર્બળતા મોકલશે; અને તેના મહિમામાં સળગતી અગ્નિના જેવી જ્વાળા પ્રગટાવાશે.
17 And the light of Israel shall be for a fire, and his Holy One for a flame; and it shall burn and devour his thorns and his briers in one day.
૧૭ઇઝરાયલનો પ્રકાશ તે અગ્નિરૂપ થશે, તેના પવિત્ર તે જ્વાળારૂપ થશે; તે એક દિવસમાં તેના કાંટા અને ઝાંખરાંને બાળીને ગળી જશે.
18 And the glory of his forest and of his fruitful field, he will consume both soul and body; and it shall be as when a sick man wasteth away.
૧૮યહોવાહ તેના વનના વૈભવને તથા તેના ફળદ્રુપ ખેતરને, આત્મા અને શરીરને ભસ્મ કરશે; તે એક બીમાર માણસના જીવનને બગાડે તેવું થશે.
19 And the remnant of the trees of his forest shall be few, that a child may write them down.
૧૯તેના વનમાં બાકી રહેલાં ઝાડ એટલાં થોડાં હશે કે એક બાળક પણ તેને ગણી શકે.
20 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the remnant of Israel, and they that are escaped of the house of Jacob, shall no more again stay upon him that smote them; but shall stay upon the LORD, the Holy One of Israel, in truth.
૨૦તે દિવસે, ઇઝરાયલનો શેષ, યાકૂબના વંશજોમાંથી બચેલા પોતાને હરાવનાર પર ફરીથી કદી ભરોસો રાખશે નહિ, પણ યહોવાહ જે ઇઝરાયલના પવિત્ર છે, તેમના પર તેઓ આધાર રાખતા થશે.
21 A remnant shall return, even the remnant of Jacob, unto God the Mighty.
૨૧બાકી રહેલા યાકૂબના વંશજો સામર્થ્યવાન ઈશ્વરની પાસે પાછા આવશે.
22 For though thy people, O Israel, be as the sand of the sea, only a remnant of them shall return; an extermination is determined, overflowing with righteousness.
૨૨હે ઇઝરાયલ, જો કે તારા લોક સમુદ્રની રેતી જેટલા હશે, તોપણ તેમાંથી ફક્ત થોડા જ પાછા આવશે. ન્યાયથી ભરપૂર વિનાશ નિર્માણ થયેલો છે.
23 For an extermination wholly determined shall the Lord, the GOD of hosts, make in the midst of all the earth.
૨૩કેમ કે સૈન્યોના પ્રભુ યહોવાહ, આખા દેશનો વિનાશ, હા નિર્માણ કરેલો વિનાશ કરનાર છે.
24 Therefore thus saith the Lord, the GOD of hosts: O My people that dwellest in Zion, be not afraid of Asshur, though he smite thee with the rod, and lift up his staff against thee, after the manner of Egypt.
૨૪તેથી પ્રભુ યહોવાહ કહે છે, “હે સિયોનમાં રહેનાર મારા લોકો, તમે આશ્શૂરથી બીતા નહિ. તે લાકડીથી તમને મારશે અને પોતાની સોટી તમારા પર મિસરની જેમ ઉગામશે.
25 For yet a very little while, and the indignation shall be accomplished, and Mine anger shall be to their destruction.
૨૫તેનાથી બીશો નહિ, કારણ કે થોડા જ સમયમાં તમારી વિરુદ્ધ મારો ક્રોધ સમાપ્ત થશે અને મારો ક્રોધ તેઓનો વિનાશ કરશે.”
26 And the LORD of hosts shall stir up against him a scourge, as in the slaughter of Midian at the Rock of Oreb; and as His rod was over the sea, so shall He lift it up after the manner of Egypt.
૨૬જેમ ઓરેબ ખડક પર મિદ્યાનને માર્યો તે રીતે સૈન્યોના યહોવાહ તેઓની વિરુદ્ધ ચાબુક ઉગામશે. તેમની સોટી જેમ સમુદ્રમાં મિસર પર ઉગામવામાં આવી હતી, તેમ તેઓ પર ઉગામવામાં આવશે.
27 And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall depart from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed by reason of fatness.
૨૭તે દિવસે, તેનો ભાર તમારી ખાંધ પરથી અને તેની ઝૂંસરી તારી ગરદન પરથી ઉતારવામાં આવશે, અને તારી ગરદન ની પુષ્ટિને લીધે ઝૂંસરી નાશ પામશે.
28 He is come to Aiath, he is passed through Migron; at Michmas he layeth up his baggage;
૨૮તારો શત્રુ આયાથ આવી પહોંચ્યો છે, તે મિગ્રોન થઈને ગયો છે; મિખ્માશમાં તે પોતાનો સરસામાન રાખી મૂકે છે.
29 They are gone over the pass; they have taken up their lodging at Geba; Ramah trembleth; Gibeath-shaul is fled.
૨૯તેઓ ખીણની પાર આવ્યા છે; ગેબામાં તેઓએ ઉતારો કર્યો છે; રામા થરથરે છે; શાઉલનું ગિબયા નાસાનાસ કરે છે.
30 Cry thou with a shrill voice, O daughter of Gallim! Hearken, O Laish! O thou poor Anathoth!
૩૦હે ગાલ્લીમની દીકરી મોટેથી રુદન કર! હે લાઈશાહ, કાળજીથી સાંભળ! હે અનાથોથ, તેને જવાબ આપ.
31 Madmenah is in mad flight; the inhabitants of Gebim flee to cover.
૩૧માદમેના નાસી જાય છે અને ગેબીમના રહેવાસીઓ જીવ બચાવવા ભાગે છે.
32 This very day shall he halt at Nob, shaking his hand at the mount of the daughter of Zion, the hill of Jerusalem.
૩૨આજે જ તે નોબમાં મુકામ કરશે અને સિયોનની દીકરીના પર્વતની સામે, યરુશાલેમના ડુંગરની સામે તે પોતાની મુઠ્ઠી ઉગામશે.
33 Behold, the Lord, the LORD of hosts, shall lop the boughs with terror; and the high ones of stature shall be hewn down, and the lofty shall be laid low.
૩૩પણ જુઓ, સૈન્યોના પ્રભુ યહોવાહ, ડાળીઓને ભયાનક રીતે સોરી નાખશે; તે ઊંચા ઝાડને કાપી નાખશે અને મોટા કદનાં વૃક્ષોને નીચાં કરવામાં આવશે.
34 And He shall cut down the thickets of the forest with iron, and Lebanon shall fall by a mighty one.
૩૪તે ગાઢ જંગલનાં વૃક્ષોને કુહાડીથી કાપી નાખશે અને લબાનોન તેની ભવ્યતામાં ધરાશાયી થશે.
