Hosea 6
1 'Come, and let us return unto the LORD; for He hath torn, and He will heal us, He hath smitten, and He will bind us up.
Vinde, e tornemos ao Senhor, porque ele despedaçou, e nos sarará, feriu, e nos atará a ferida.
2 After two days will He revive us, on the third day He will raise us up, that we may live in His presence.
Depois de dois dias nos dará a vida: ao terceiro dia nos resuscitará, e viveremos diante dele.
3 And let us know, eagerly strive to know the LORD, His going forth is sure as the morning; and He shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter rain that watereth the earth.'
Então conheceremos, e proseguiremos em conhecer, ao Senhor: como a alva, está aparelhada a sua saída: e ele a nós virá como a chuva, como chuva serodia que rega a terra.
4 O Ephraim, what shall I do unto thee? O Judah, what shall I do unto thee? for your goodness is as a morning cloud, and as the dew that early passeth away.
Que te farei, ó Ephraim? que te, farei, ó Judá? visto que a vossa beneficência é como a nuvem da manhã, e como o orvalho da madrugada, que passa.
5 Therefore have I hewed them by the prophets, I have slain them by the words of My mouth; and thy judgment goeth forth as the light.
Por isso os cortei pelos profetas: pela palavras da minha boca os matei; e os teus juízos sairão como a luz.
6 For I desire mercy, and not sacrifice, and the knowledge of God rather than burnt-offerings.
Porque o que eu quero é a misericórdia, e não o sacrifício; e o conhecimento de Deus, mais do que os holocaustos.
7 But they like men have transgressed the covenant; there have they dealt treacherously against Me.
Porém eles traspassaram o concerto, como Adão; ali se portaram aleivosamente contra mim.
8 Gilead is a city of them that work iniquity, it is covered with footprints of blood.
Gilead é uma cidade dos que obram iniquidade, calcada de sangue.
9 And as troops of robbers wait for a man, so doth the company of priests; they murder in the way toward Shechem; yea, they commit enormity.
Como as tropas dos salteadores a alguns esperam, assim é a companhia dos sacerdotes; matam no caminho para Sichem, porque fazem abominações.
10 In the house of Israel I have seen a horrible thing; there harlotry is found in Ephraim, Israel is defiled.
Vejo uma coisa horrenda na casa de Israel: ali está a fornicação de Ephraim; Israel é contaminado.
11 Also, O Judah, there is a harvest appointed for thee! When I would turn the captivity of My people,
Também para ti, ó Judá, foi assinada uma sega; quando eu tornar o cativeiro do meu povo.
