Hosea 3

1 And the LORD said unto me: 'Go yet, love a woman beloved of her friend and an adulteress, even as the LORD loveth the children of Israel, though they turn unto other gods, and love cakes of raisins.

Et le Seigneur m'a dit: Pars encore, aime une femme qui aime le mal, une femme adultère, comme Dieu aime les fils d'Israël, tandis qu'ils regardent les dieux étrangers, et se régalent de pâtes aux raisins.

2 So I bought her to me for fifteen pieces of silver and a homer of barley, and a half-homer of barley;

Et moi, j'ai loué une telle femme quinze sicles d'argent et un gomor d'orge, et un nebel d'huile.

3 and I said unto her: 'Thou shalt sit solitary for me many days; thou shalt not play the harlot, and thou shalt not be any man's wife; nor will I be thine.'

Et je lui ai dit: Tu te tiendras tranquille avec moi bien des jours; garde-toi de te prostituer; ne sois pas à un autre homme, et je te serai attaché.

4 For the children of Israel shall sit solitary many days without king, and without prince, and without sacrifice, and without pillar, and without ephod or teraphim;

Car les fils d'Israël seront bien des jours sans roi, sans chef, sans sacrifices, sans autels, sans sacerdoce, sans manifestation.

5 afterward shall the children of Israel return, and seek the LORD their God, and David their king; and shall come trembling unto the LORD and to His goodness in the end of days.

Et, après cela, les fils d'Israël se convertiront, et ils chercheront le Seigneur leur Dieu, et David leur roi, et ils seront pleins d'admiration, sur les derniers jours, pour le Seigneur et Ses bienfaits.
