Hosea 14

1 Return, O Israel, unto the LORD thy God; for thou hast stumbled in thine iniquity.

イスラエルよ汝の神ヱホバに歸れよ汝は不義のために仆れたり

2 Take with you words, and return unto the LORD; say unto Him: 'Forgive all iniquity, and accept that which is good; so will we render for bullocks the offering of our lips.

汝ら言詞をたづさへ來りヱホバに歸りていへ諸の不義は赦して善ところを受納れたまへ斯て我らは唇をもて牛のごとくに汝に献げん

3 Asshur shall not save us; we will not ride upon horses; neither will we call any more the work of our hands our gods; for in Thee the fatherless findeth mercy.'

アツスリヤはわれらを授けじ我らは馬に騎らじまたふたたび我儕みづからの手にて作れる者にむかひわが神なりと言じ孤児は爾によりて憐憫を得べければなりと

4 I will heal their backsliding, I will love them freely; for Mine anger is turned away from him.

我かれらの反逆を醫し悦びて之を愛せん我が怒はかれを離れ去たり

5 I will be as the dew unto Israel; he shall blossom as the lily, and cast forth his roots as Lebanon.

我イスラエルに対しては露のごとくならん彼は百合花のごとく花さきレバノンのごとく根をはらん

6 His branches shall spread, and his beauty shall be as the olive-tree, and his fragrance as Lebanon.

その枝は茂りひろがり其美麗は橄欖の樹のごとくその芬芳はレバノンのごとくならん

7 They that dwell under his shadow shall again make corn to grow, and shall blossom as the vine; the scent thereof shall be as the wine of Lebanon.

その蔭に往む者かへり來らんかれらは穀物の如く活かへり葡萄樹のごとく花さきその馨香はレバノンの酒のごとくなるべし

8 Ephraim shall say: 'What have I to do any more with idols?' As for Me, I respond and look on him; I am like a leafy cypress-tree; from Me is thy fruit found.

エフライムはいふ我また偶像と何のあづかる所あらんやと我これに應へたり我かれを顧みん我は蒼翠の松のごとし汝われより果を得ん

9 Whoso is wise, let him understand these things, whoso is prudent, let him know them. For the ways of the LORD are right, and the just do walk in them; but transgressors do stumble therein.

誰か智慧ある者ぞその人はこの事を暁らん誰か頴悟ある者ぞその人は之を知んヱホバの道は凡て直し義者は之をむ然ど罪人は之に躓かん
