Hosea 10
1 Israel was a luxuriant vine, which put forth fruit freely: as his fruit increased, he increased his altars; the more goodly his land was, the more goodly were his pillars.
൧യിസ്രായേൽ പടർന്നു പന്തലിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന ഒരു മുന്തിരിവള്ളി ആകുന്നു; അവൻ ഫലം കായിക്കുന്നു; തന്റെ ഫലം വർദ്ധിച്ചപ്പോൾ അവൻ ബലിപീഠങ്ങളും വർദ്ധിപ്പിച്ചു; തന്റെ ദേശത്തിന് സമൃദ്ധി ഉണ്ടായപ്പോൾ അവൻ ഭംഗിയുള്ള വിഗ്രഹസ്തംഭങ്ങളും ഉണ്ടാക്കി.
2 Their heart is divided; now shall they bear their guilt; He will break down their altars, He will spoil their pillars.
൨അവരുടെ ഹൃദയം ഭിന്നിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; ഇപ്പോൾ അവർ കുറ്റക്കാരായിത്തീരും; അവൻ അവരുടെ ബലിപീഠങ്ങൾ ഇടിച്ചുകളയുകയും അവരുടെ വിഗ്രഹസ്തംഭങ്ങൾ നശിപ്പിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യും.
3 Surely now shall they say: 'We have no king; for we feared not the LORD; and the king, what can he do for us?'
൩ഇപ്പോൾ അവർ: “നമുക്ക് രാജാവില്ല; നാം യഹോവയെ ഭയപ്പെടുന്നില്ലല്ലോ; രാജാവ് നമുക്കുവേണ്ടി എന്ത് ചെയ്യും?” എന്ന് പറയും.
4 They speak words, they swear falsely, they make covenants; thus judgment springeth up as hemlock in the furrows of the field.
൪അവർ വ്യർത്ഥവാക്കുകൾ സംസാരിച്ച്, ഉടമ്പടി ചെയ്യുമ്പോൾ കള്ളസ്സത്യം ചെയ്യുന്നു; അതുകൊണ്ട് ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ന്യായവിധി വയലിലെ ഉഴവുചാലുകളിൽ നഞ്ചുചെടിപോലെ മുളച്ചുവരുന്നു.
5 The inhabitants of Samaria shall be in dread for the calves of Beth-aven; for the people thereof shall mourn over it, and the priests thereof shall tremble for it, for its glory, because it is departed from it.
൫ശമര്യാ നിവാസികൾ ബേത്ത്-ആവെനിലെ കാളക്കുട്ടി നിമിത്തം ഭയപ്പെടുന്നു; അവിടുത്തെ ജനം അതിനെക്കുറിച്ച് ദുഃഖിക്കുന്നു; അവരുടെ പൂജാരികൾ മഹത്വം അതിനെ വിട്ടുപോയതുകൊണ്ട് അതിനെക്കുറിച്ച് ഭയപ്പെട്ട് വിറയ്ക്കുന്നു.
6 It also shall be carried unto Assyria, for a present to King Contentious; Ephraim shall receive shame, and Israel shall be ashamed of his own counsel.
൬ആ വിഗ്രഹത്തെയും യുദ്ധതല്പരനായ രാജാവിന് സമ്മാനമായി അശ്ശൂരിലേക്ക് കൊണ്ടുപോകും; എഫ്രയീം ലജ്ജിക്കും; യിസ്രായേൽ സ്വന്തം തടി വിഗ്രഹങ്ങളെ കുറിച്ച് ലജ്ജിക്കും.
7 As for Samaria, her king is cut off, as foam upon the water.
൭ശമര്യയുടെ കാര്യമോ, അതിന്റെ രാജാവ് വെള്ളത്തിലെ ചുള്ളിക്കമ്പ് പോലെ നശിച്ചുപോകും.
8 The high places also of Aven shall be destroyed, even the sin of Israel. The thorn and the thistle shall come up on their altars; and they shall say to the mountains: 'Cover us', and to the hills: 'Fall on us.'
൮യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ പാപമായിരിക്കുന്ന ആവെനിലെ പൂജാഗിരികൾ നശിച്ചുപോകും; മുള്ളും പറക്കാരയും അവരുടെ ബലിപീഠങ്ങളിന്മേൽ മുളയ്ക്കും; അവർ മലകളോട്: “ഞങ്ങളുടെമേൽ വീഴുവിൻ” എന്ന് പറയും.
9 From the days of Gibeah thou hast sinned, O Israel; there they stood; no battle was to overtake them in Gibeah, nor the children of arrogancy.
൯യിസ്രായേലേ, ഗിബെയയുടെ കാലം മുതൽ നീ പാപം ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു; അവർ ഇന്നും അതേ അവസ്ഥയിൽ തുടരുന്നു; ഗിബെയയിൽ നീതികെട്ടവരോടുള്ള പോരാട്ടം അവരെ കീഴടക്കിയില്ല;
10 When it is My desire, I will chastise them; and the peoples shall be gathered against them, when they are yoked to their two rings.
൧൦ഞാൻ ഇച്ഛിക്കുമ്പോൾ അവരെ ശിക്ഷിക്കും; അവരുടെ രണ്ട് അകൃത്യങ്ങൾ നിമിത്തം ഞാൻ അവരെ ശിക്ഷിക്കുമ്പോൾ ജനത അവർക്കെതിരെ കൂടിവരും.
11 And Ephraim is a heifer well broken, that loveth to thresh, and I have passed over upon her fair neck; I will make Ephraim to ride, Judah shall plow, Jacob shall break his clods.
൧൧എഫ്രയീം മെരുക്കമുള്ളതും ധാന്യം മെതിക്കുവാൻ ഇഷ്ടപ്പെടുന്നതുമായ പശുക്കിടാവ് ആകുന്നു; ഞാൻ അതിന്റെ ഭംഗിയുള്ള കഴുത്തിൽ നുകം വയ്ക്കും; ഞാൻ എഫ്രയീമിനെ നുകത്തിൽ കെട്ടും; യെഹൂദാ ഉഴുകയും യാക്കോബ് കട്ട ഉടയ്ക്കുകയും ചെയ്യേണ്ടിവരും.
12 Sow to yourselves according to righteousness, reap according to mercy, break up your fallow ground; for it is time to seek the LORD, till He come and cause righteousness to rain upon you.
൧൨നീതിയിൽ വിതയ്ക്കുവിൻ; ദയക്കൊത്തവണ്ണം കൊയ്യുവിൻ; നിങ്ങളുടെ തരിശുനിലം ഉഴുവിൻ; യഹോവ വന്ന് നിങ്ങളുടെമേൽ നീതി വർഷിപ്പിക്കേണ്ടതിന് അവനെ അന്വേഷിക്കുവാനുള്ള കാലം ഇതാകുന്നു.
13 Ye have plowed wickedness, ye have reaped iniquity, ye have eaten the fruit of lies; for thou didst trust in thy way, in the multitude of thy mighty men.
൧൩നിങ്ങൾ ദുഷ്ടത ഉഴുത്, നീതികേട് കൊയ്ത്, ഭോഷ്കിന്റെ ഫലം തിന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; നിങ്ങൾ സ്വന്ത വഴിയിലും നിങ്ങളുടെ വീരന്മാരുടെ സംഖ്യാബലത്തിലും ആശ്രയിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
14 Therefore shall a tumult arise among thy hosts, and all thy fortresses shall be spoiled, as Shalman spoiled Beth-arbel in the day of battle; the mother was dashed in pieces with her children.
൧൪അതുകൊണ്ട് നിന്റെ ജനത്തിന്റെ ഇടയിൽ ഒരു കലഹം ഉണ്ടാകും; യുദ്ധദിവസത്തിൽ ശൽമാൻ ബേത്ത്-അർബ്ബേലിനെ നശിപ്പിച്ചതുപോലെ നിങ്ങളുടെ എല്ലാ കോട്ടകൾക്കും നാശം വരും; അവർ അമ്മയെ മക്കളോടുകൂടി തകർത്തുകളഞ്ഞുവല്ലോ.
15 So hath Beth-el done unto you because of your great wickedness; at daybreak is the king of Israel utterly cut off.
൧൫അങ്ങനെ തന്നെ ബേഥേലേ! നിങ്ങളുടെ മഹാദുഷ്ടതനിമിത്തം നിങ്ങൾക്ക് ഇത് സംഭവിക്കും; പുലർച്ചയ്ക്ക് യിസ്രായേൽ രാജാവ് അശേഷം നശിച്ചുപോകും.
