< Hosea 1 >
1 THE WORD of the LORD that came unto Hosea the son of Beeri, in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam the son of Joash, king of Israel.
Shoko raJehovha rakasvika kuna Hosea mwanakomana waBheeri panguva yokutonga kwaUzia, Jotamu, Ahazi naHezekia, madzimambo eJudha, napanguva yokutonga kwaJerobhoamu mwanakomana waJehoashi mambo weIsraeri:
2 When the LORD spoke at first with Hosea, the LORD said unto Hosea: 'Go, take unto thee a wife of harlotry and children of harlotry; for the land doth commit great harlotry, departing from the LORD.'
Jehovha paakatanga kutaura kubudikidza naHosea, akati kwaari, “Enda, unozvitorera mukadzi woufeve navana voufeve nokuti nyika ine mhosva yokuita ufeve hwakaipisisa nokuti yakabva kuna Jehovha.”
3 So he went and took Gomer the daughter of Diblaim; and she conceived, and bore him a son.
Naizvozvo akawana Gomeri mwanasikana waDibhiraimu, uye akabata pamuviri akamuberekera mwanakomana.
4 And the LORD said unto him: 'Call his name Jezreel; for yet a little while, and I will visit the blood of Jezreel upon the house of Jehu, and will cause to cease the kingdom of the house of Israel.
Ipapo Jehovha akati kuna Hosea, “Mutumidze zita rokuti Jezireeri, nokuti ndava kuda kuranga imba yaJehu zvino nokuda kwavanhu vakaurayiwa paJezireeri, uye ndichagumisa umambo hwaIsraeri.
5 And it shall come to pass at that day, that I will break the bow of Israel in the valley of Jezreel.'
Pazuva iro ndichavhuna uta hwaIsraeri mumupata weJezireeri.”
6 And she conceived again, and bore a daughter. And He said unto him: 'Call her name Lo-ruhamah; for I will no more have compassion upon the house of Israel, that I should in any wise pardon them.
Gomeri akabatazve pamuviri ndokubereka mwanasikana. Ipapo Jehovha akati kuna Hosea, “Mutumidze zita rokuti Ro-Ruhama, nokuti handichazoratidzizve rudo kuimba yaIsraeri, kuti nditombovaregerera.
7 But I will have compassion upon the house of Judah, and will save them by the LORD their God, and will not save them by bow, nor by sword, nor by battle, nor by horses, nor by horsemen.'
Asi ndicharatidza rudo kuimba yaJudha; uye ndichavaponesa, kwete nouta, munondo kana kurwa, kana namabhiza kana navatasvi vamabhiza, asi naJehovha Mwari wavo.”
8 Now when she had weaned Lo-ruhamah, she conceived, and bore a son.
Mushure mokurumura Ro-Ruhama, Gomeri akaberekazve mumwe mwanakomana.
9 And He said: 'Call his name Lo-ammi; for ye are not My people, and I will not be yours.'
Ipapo Jehovha akati, “Mutumidze zita rokuti Ro-Ami, nokuti imi hamusi vanhu vangu, uye ini handisi Mwari wenyu.
10 Yet the number of the children of Israel shall be as the sand of the sea, which cannot be measured nor numbered; and it shall come to pass that, instead of that which was said unto them: 'Ye are not My people', it shall be said unto them: 'Ye are the children of the living God.'
“Kunyange zvakadaro vaIsraeri vachava sejecha riri pamahombekombe egungwa, risingabviri kuyerwa kana kuverengwa. Paya pakanga panzi kwavari, ‘Hamuzi vanhu vangu,’ vachanzi ‘vanakomana vaMwari mupenyu.’
11 And the children of Judah and the children of Israel shall be gathered together, and they shall appoint themselves one head, and shall go up out of the land; for great shall be the day of Jezreel.
Vanhu veJudha navanhu veIsraeri vachabatanazve, uye vachasarudza mutungamiri mumwe chete uye vachasimukira panyika, nokuti zuva raJezireeri richava zuva guru.
