Haggai 1
1 IN THE second year of Darius the king, in the sixth month, in the first day of the month, came the word of the LORD by Haggai the prophet unto Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, saying:
Na mobu ya mibale ya bokonzi ya Dariusi, na mokolo ya liboso ya sanza ya motoba, Yawe alobaki na nzela ya Mosakoli Aje liloba oyo epai ya Zorobabeli, mwana mobali ya Shealitieli, moyangeli ya Yuda; epai ya Jozue, mwana mobali ya Yeotsadaki, mokonzi ya Banganga-Nzambe:
2 'Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, saying: This people say: The time is not come, the time that the LORD'S house should be built.'
« Tala liloba oyo Yawe, Mokonzi ya mampinga, alobi: ‹ Bato oyo bazali koloba ete tango ekoki nanu te mpo na kotonga Tempelo ya Yawe. › »
3 Then came the word of the LORD by Haggai the prophet, saying:
Nzokande, Yawe alobaki na nzela ya mosakoli Aje:
4 'Is it a time for you yourselves to dwell in your cieled houses, while this house lieth waste?
« Boni, bokanisi ete ezali mpo na bino tango ya kovanda na bandako ya kitoko wana Tempelo ezali ya kobeba? »
5 Now therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts: Consider your ways.
Sik’oyo, tala liloba oyo Yawe, Mokonzi ya mampinga, alobi: « Bokanisa nanu malamu makambo nyonso oyo ezali kokomela bino.
6 Ye have sown much, and brought in little, ye eat, but ye have not enough, ye drink, but ye are not filled with drink, ye clothe you, but there is none warm; and he that earneth wages earneth wages for a bag with holes.
Bozali kolona milona ebele, kasi bozali kobuka bambuma moke kaka, bozali kolia kasi bozali kotonda te, bozali komela kasi bozali kosilisa posa na bino te, bozali kolata bilamba kasi malili ezali kosila te, mpe lifuti ya mosali ezali kokota na libenga etoboka. »
7 Thus saith the LORD of hosts: Consider your ways.
Tala liloba oyo Yawe, Mokonzi ya mampinga, alobi: « Bokanisa nanu malamu makambo oyo ezali kokomela bino.
8 Go up to the hill-country, and bring wood, and build the house; and I will take pleasure in it, and I will be glorified, saith the LORD.
Bokende na likolo ya bangomba, bokata mpe boya na banzete mpo na kotonga Tempelo, bongo nakosepela mpe nakozwa lokumu, » elobi Yawe.
9 Ye looked for much, and, lo, it came to little; and when ye brought it home, I did blow upon it. Why? saith the LORD of hosts. Because of My house that lieth waste, while ye run every man for his own house.
« Tala, bokanisaki kobuka bambuma ebele kasi bobuki kaka bambuma moke; mpe tango bomemi yango na bandako na bino, nafuli yango mopepe. Mpo na nini boye, » elobi Yawe, Mokonzi ya mampinga? « Ezali mpo na Ndako na Ngai, oyo ezali ya kobeba, na tango oyo moto na moto azali komipesa na misala ya ndako na ye moko.
10 Therefore over you the heaven hath kept back, so that there is no dew, and the earth hath kept back her produce.

11 And I called for a drought upon the land, and upon the mountains, and upon the corn, and upon the wine, and upon the oil, and upon that which the ground bringeth forth, and upon men, and upon cattle, and upon all the labour of the hands.'
Nabengaki bokawuki na bilanga, na bangomba, na ble, na vino, na mafuta, na mbuma nyonso ya mabele, na bato, na bibwele mpe na mbuma nyonso ya mosala na bino. »
12 Then Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, with all the remnant of the people, hearkened unto the voice of the LORD their God, and unto the words of Haggai the prophet, as the LORD their God had sent him; and the people did fear before the LORD.

Mpe bato nyonso bakomaki kobanga Yawe.
13 Then spoke Haggai the LORD'S messenger in the LORD'S message unto the people, saying: 'I am with you, saith the LORD.'
Bongo Aje, momemi sango ya Yawe, asakolaki epai ya bato maloba oyo na Kombo na Yawe: « Nazali elongo na bino, » elobi Yawe.
14 And the LORD stirred up the spirit of Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and the spirit of Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, and the spirit of all the remnant of the people; and they came and did work in the house of the LORD of hosts, their God,

15 in the four and twentieth day of the month, in the sixth month, in the second year of Darius the king.
na mokolo ya tuku mibale na minei ya sanza ya motoba, na mobu ya mibale ya bokonzi ya Dariusi.
