Genesis 35
1 And God said unto Jacob: 'Arise, go up to Beth-el, and dwell there; and make there an altar unto God, who appeared unto thee when thou didst flee from the face of Esau thy brother.'
၁ဘုရားသခင်ကယာကုပ်အား``ဗေသလအရပ် သို့ယခုသွား၍နေထိုင်လော့။ သင်၏အစ်ကို ဧသောရန်ကိုကြောက်၍ထွက်ပြေးနေရစဉ်က သင်ဖူးတွေ့ရသောငါဘုရားအတွက်ပူဇော် ရာယဇ်ပလ္လင်ကိုတည်လော့'' ဟုမိန့်တော်မူ ၏။
2 Then Jacob said unto his household, and to all that were with him: 'Put away the strange gods that are among you, and purify yourselves, and change your garments;
၂ယာကုပ်သည်မိမိ၏မိသားစုနှင့်မိမိထံတွင် နေထိုင်သူအပေါင်းတို့အား``သင်တို့၌ရှိသော အခြားဘုရားများကိုပစ်ပယ်ကြလော့။ ကိုယ် ကိုသန့်စင်စေ၍အဝတ်ကိုလဲလှယ်ဝတ်ဆင် ကြလော့။-
3 and let us arise, and go up to Beth-el; and I will make there an altar unto God, who answered me in the day of my distress, and was with me in the way which I went.'
၃ငါတို့သည်ဤအရပ်မှဗေသလအရပ်သို့ သွားကြမည်။ ငါဒုက္ခရောက်စဉ်ကငါ့ကိုကယ်မ ၍ငါသွားလေရာရာခရီးလမ်းတွင် ငါနှင့် အတူရှိတော်မူသောဘုရားသခင်အားပူ ဇော်ရန်ထိုအရပ်၌ယဇ်ပလ္လင်တည်မည်'' ဟု ဆိုလေ၏။-
4 And they gave unto Jacob all the foreign gods which were in their hand, and the rings which were in their ears; and Jacob hid them under the terebinth which was by Shechem.
၄ထို့ကြောင့်သူတို့တွင်ရှိသမျှသောအခြား ဘုရားများကိုလည်းကောင်း၊ သူတို့တွင်ဆင် ယင်ထားသောနားကပ်များကိုလည်းကောင်း ယာကုပ်ထံပေးအပ်ကြ၏။ ယာကုပ်သည်ထို ပစ္စည်းများကိုရှေခင်မြို့အနီးဝက်သစ်ချ ပင်ရင်း၌မြှုပ်ထားလေ၏။
5 And they journeyed; and a terror of God was upon the cities that were round about them, and they did not pursue after the sons of Jacob.
၅ထိုနောက်သူတို့စခန်းသိမ်း၍ထွက်ခွာသွား ကြသောအခါ ပတ်ဝန်းကျင်ရှိမြို့သားတို့ သည်အလွန်ကြောက်ရွံ့ကြသဖြင့် သူတို့ကို လိုက်လံ၍မတိုက်ခိုက်ဝံ့ကြချေ။-
6 So Jacob came to Luz, which is in the land of Canaan — the same is Beth-el — he and all the people that were with him.
၆ယာကုပ်သည်မိမိ၏လူစုနှင့်အတူ ခါနာန် ပြည်ရှိဗေသလမြို့ဟုခေါ်တွင်သောလုဇ မြို့သို့ရောက်ရှိလာလေ၏။-
7 And he built there an altar, and called the place El-beth-el, because there God was revealed unto him, when he fled from the face of his brother.
၇ထိုအရပ်တွင်ယဇ်ပလ္လင်ကိုတည်၍သူ၏အစ်ကို ထံမှထွက်ပြေးနေရစဉ်က ဘုရားသခင်ကို ထိုအရပ်၌ဖူးတွေ့ခဲ့ရသောကြောင့်ဗေသလ ဟုခေါ်တွင်စေ၏။-
8 And Deborah Rebekah's nurse died, and she was buried below Beth-el under the oak; and the name of it was called Allon-bacuth.
၈ရေဗက္က၏အထိန်းဒေဗောရကွယ်လွန်၍ ဗေသလ တောင်ဘက်ရှိဝက်သစ်ချပင်အောက်၌အလောင်း ကိုမြှုပ်လေသည်။ ထိုကြောင့်ထိုအပင်ကို``မျက်ရည် ယိုဝက်သစ်ချပင်'' ဟုနာမည်မှည့်လေ၏။
9 And God appeared unto Jacob again, when he came from Paddan-aram, and blessed him.
၉ယာကုပ်သည်ပါဒနာရံပြည်မှပြန်လည် ရောက်ရှိသောအခါ ဘုရားသခင်ကိုရူပါရုံ တွင်တစ်ဖန်မြင်ရလေ၏။ ဘုရားသခင်သည် သူ့အားကောင်းချီးပေးလျက်၊-
10 And God said unto him: 'Thy name is Jacob: thy name shall not be called any more Jacob, but Israel shall be thy name'; and He called his name Israel.
၁၀``သင်၏နာမည်သည်ယာကုပ်ဖြစ်၏။ သို့ရာတွင် ယခုမှစ၍သင်၏နာမည်ကိုဣသရေလဟူ၍ ခေါ်ရမည်'' ဟုမိန့်တော်မူ၏။ သို့ဖြစ်၍ဘုရားသခင်သည်ယာကုပ်အားဣသရေလနာမည် ဖြင့်သမုတ်တော်မူ၏။-
11 And God said unto him: 'I am God Almighty. Be fruitful and multiply; a nation and a company of nations shall be of thee, and kings shall come out of thy loins;
၁၁တစ်ဖန်ဘုရားသခင်ကသူ့အား``ငါသည် အနန္တတန်ခိုးရှင်ဘုရားသခင်ဖြစ်၏။ သား သမီးများစွာမွေးဖွားလော့။ လူအမျိုးမျိုး တို့သည်သင်မှဆင်းသက်ကြလိမ့်မည်။ သင် ၏အမျိုးအနွယ်မှဘုရင်များပေါ်ထွန်း လိမ့်မည်။-
12 and the land which I gave unto Abraham and Isaac, to thee I will give it, and to thy seed after thee will I give the land.'
၁၂ငါသည်အာဗြဟံနှင့်ဣဇာက်တို့အားပေး သောပြည်ကိုသင့်အားလည်းကောင်း၊ သင်၏ အဆက်အနွယ်တို့အားလည်းကောင်းငါ ပေးမည်'' ဟုမိန့်တော်မူ၏။-
13 And God went up from him in the place where He spoke with him.
၁၃ထို့နောက်ဘုရားသခင်သည်သူ့ထံမှကြွ သွားတော်မူ၏။-
14 And Jacob set up a pillar in the place where He spoke with him, a pillar of stone, and he poured out a drink-offering thereon, and poured oil thereon.
၁၄ယာကုပ်သည်ဘုရားသခင်ကသူ့အားမိန့်ကြား တော်မူသောအရပ်တွင်မှတ်တိုင်ကိုစိုက်ထူ၍ ၎င်းအပေါ်တွင်စပျစ်ရည်နှင့်ဆီလောင်းလျက် ဆက်ကပ်လေ၏။-
15 And Jacob called the name of the place where God spoke with him, Beth-el.
၁၅သူသည်ထိုအရပ်ကိုဗေသလဟုနာမည်မှည့် ခေါ်လေသည်။
16 And they journeyed from Beth-el; and there was still some way to come to Ephrath; and Rachel travailed, and she had hard labour.
၁၆ယာကုပ်နှင့်သူ၏မိသားစုတို့သည်ဗေသလ အရပ်မှခရီးထွက်ခဲ့ကြရာ ဧဖရတ်မြို့သို့ မရောက်မီခရီးအတန်ကွာနေရာသို့ရောက် သော်ရာခေလသည်မီးဖွားရန်အချိန်စေ့၍ ဝေဒနာပြင်းပြစွာခံရလေ၏။-
17 And it came to pass, when she was in hard labour, that the mid-wife said unto her: 'Fear not; for this also is a son for thee.'
၁၇သူသည်သားကိုဖွားချိန်၌ဝေဒနာအပြင်း ဆုံးခံရ၏။ ထိုအခါဝမ်းဆွဲကသူ့ကို``ရာခေလ၊ မစိုးရိမ်နှင့်။ သားတစ်ယောက်ထပ်၍ရပြီ'' ဟု ပြောလေ၏။-
18 And it came to pass, as her soul was in departing — for she died — that she called his name Ben-oni; but his father called him Benjamin.
၁၈သို့ရာတွင်သူသည်သေအံ့ဆဲဆဲအချိန်တွင် ထိုသားကိုဗေနောနိဟူ၍နာမည်မှည့်လေ သည်။ ဖခင်ကမူထိုသားကိုဗင်္ယာမိန်ဟုနာ မည်မှည့်လေ၏။
19 And Rachel died, and was buried in the way to Ephrath — the same is Beth-lehem.
၁၉ရာခေလကွယ်လွန်သော်ဗက်လင်မြို့ဟုခေါ် တွင်သော ဧဖရတ်မြို့သို့သွားရာလမ်းအနီး တွင်သူ့အလောင်းကိုသင်္ဂြိုဟ်ကြလေ၏။-
20 And Jacob set up a pillar upon her grave; the same is the pillar of Rachel's grave unto this day.
၂၀ယာကုပ်သည်သင်္ချိုင်းပေါ်တွင်မှတ်တိုင်ကိုစိုက် ထူခဲ့ရာ ယနေ့ထက်တိုင်ထိုမှတ်တိုင်ကိုရာ ခေလ၏သင်္ချိုင်းမှတ်တိုင်ဟုခေါ်တွင်လေသည်။-
21 And Israel journeyed, and spread his tent beyond Migdal-eder.
၂၁ထိုနောက်ယာကုပ်သည်ခရီးဆက်ခဲ့၍ဧဒါ လင့်စင်အလွန်၌စခန်းချလေသည်။
22 And it came to pass, while Israel dwelt in that land, that Reuben went and lay with Bilhah his father's concubine; and Israel heard of it. Now the sons of Jacob were twelve:
၂၂ယာကုပ်သည်ထိုအရပ်တွင်နေထိုင်စဉ်ရုဗင် သည် ဖခင်၏မယားငယ်ဗိလဟာနှင့်ဖောက် ပြန်မှားယွင်းလေ၏။ ယာကုပ်သည်ထိုအကြောင်း ကိုကြားသိလေသည်။ ယာကုပ်တွင်သားတစ်ဆယ့်နှစ်ယောက်ရှိ၏။-
23 the sons of Leah: Reuben, Jacob's first-born, and Simeon, and Levi, and Judah, and Issachar, and Zebulun;
၂၃လေအာမှဖွားမြင်သောသားများမှာရုဗင် (ယာကုပ်၏သားဦး) ရှိမောင်၊ လေဝိ၊ ယုဒ၊ ဣသခါနှင့်ဇာဗုလုန်တို့ဖြစ်သည်။
24 the sons of Rachel: Joseph and Benjamin;
၂၄ရာခေလ၏သားများမှာယောသပ်နှင့် ဗင်္ယာမိန်တို့ဖြစ်သည်။-
25 and the sons of Bilhah, Rachel's handmaid: Dan and Naphtali;
၂၅ရာခေလ၏ကျွန်မဗိလဟာ၏သားများ မှာဒန်နှင့်နဿလိတို့ဖြစ်သည်။-
26 and the sons of Zilpah, Leah's handmaid: Gad and Asher. These are the sons of Jacob, that were born to him in Paddan-aram.
၂၆လေအာ၏ကျွန်မဇိလပ၏သားများမှာ ဂဒ်နှင့်အာရှာတို့ဖြစ်သည်။ ဤသားတို့သည် မက်ဆိုပိုတေးမီးယားပြည်မြောက်ပိုင်း၌ ဖွားမြင်ခဲ့ကြသည်။
27 And Jacob came unto Isaac his father to Mamre, to Kiriatharba — the same is Hebron — where Abraham and Isaac sojourned.
၂၇ယာကုပ်သည်အာဗြဟံနှင့်ဣဇာက်တို့နေထိုင် ခဲ့သောဟေဗြုန်မြို့အနီးမံရေအရပ်ရှိသူ ၏ဖခင်ဣဇာက်ထံသို့ရောက်ရှိလာလေ၏။-
28 And the days of Isaac were a hundred and fourscore years.
၂၈ဣဇာက်သည်အသက်တစ်ရာ့ရှစ်ဆယ်ထိအသက် ရှင်၏။ သူသည်အရွယ်ကြီးရင့်၍နေ့ရက်နှစ် ပေါင်းများစွာပြည့်ပြီဖြစ်သောကြောင့် နောက် ဆုံးထွက်သက်ကိုရှူ၍ကွယ်လွန်လေသည်။ သူသည်မိမိလူမျိုးစုနှင့်စုဝေးခွင့်ရ၏။-
29 And Isaac expired, and died, and was gathered unto his people, old and full of days; and Esau and Jacob his sons buried him.
၂၉သူ၏သားများဖြစ်ကြသောဧသောနှင့် ယာကုပ်တို့ကသူ့အားသင်္ဂြိုဟ်ကြ၏။
