Ezekiel 9

1 Then he called in mine ears with a loud voice, saying: 'Cause ye them that have charge over the city to draw near, every man with his destroying weapon in his hand.'

Y clamó en mis oídos con gran voz, diciendo: Las visitaciones de la ciudad han llegado, y cada uno trae en su mano su instrumento para destruir.

2 And, behold, six men came from the way of the upper gate, which lieth toward the north, every man with his weapon of destruction in his hand; and one man in the midst of them clothed in linen, with a writer's inkhorn on his side. And they went in, and stood beside the brazen altar.

Y he aquí que seis varones venían de camino de la puerta de arriba que está vuelta al aquilón, y cada uno traía en su mano su instrumento para destruir; y entre ellos había un varón vestido de lienzos, el cual traía a su cinta una escribanía de escribano; y entrados, paráronse junto al altar de metal.

3 And the glory of the God of Israel was gone up from the cherub, whereupon it was, to the threshold of the house; and He called to the man clothed in linen, who had the writer's inkhorn on his side.

Y la gloria del Dios de Israel se alzó de sobre el querubín, sobre el cual había estado, al umbral de la casa; y llamó al varón vestido de lienzos, que tenía a su cinta la escribanía de escribano.

4 And the LORD said unto him: 'Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and set a mark upon the foreheads of the men that sigh and that cry for all the abominations that are done in the midst thereof.'

Y díjole Jehová: Pasa por medio de la ciudad, por medio de Jerusalem, y señala con una señal en las frentes a los varones que gimen, y que claman a causa de todas las abominaciones que se hacen en medio de ella.

5 And to the others He said in my hearing: 'Go ye through the city after him, and smite; let not your eye spare, neither have ye pity;

Y dijo a los otros a mis oídos: Pasád por la ciudad en pos de él, y heríd: no perdone vuestro ojo, ni tengáis misericordia.

6 slay utterly the old man, the young man and the maiden, and little children and women; but come not near any man upon whom is the mark; and begin at My sanctuary.' Then they began at the elders that were before the house.

Viejos, mozos, y vírgenes, niños, y mujeres matád, hasta que no quede ninguno: mas a todo hombre sobre el cual hubiere señal, no llegaréis; y comenzaréis desde mi santuario. Y comenzaron desde los varones ancianos que estaban delante del templo.

7 And He said unto them: 'Defile the house, and fill the courts with the slain; go ye forth.' And they went forth, and smote in the city.

Y díjoles: Contaminád la casa, y henchíd los patios de muertos: salíd. Y salieron, e hirieron en la ciudad.

8 And it came to pass, while they were smiting, and I was left, that I fell upon my face, and cried, and said: 'Ah Lord GOD! wilt Thou destroy all the residue of Israel in Thy pouring out of Thy fury upon Jerusalem?'

Y aconteció, que habiéndolos herido, yo quedé, y postréme sobre mi rostro, y clamé, y dije: Ah, Señor Jehová, ¿has de destruir todo el resto de Israel, derramando tu furor sobre Jerusalem?

9 Then said He unto me: 'The iniquity of the house of Israel and Judah is exceeding great, and the land is full of blood, and the city full of wresting of judgment; for they say: The LORD hath forsaken the land, and the LORD seeth not.

Y díjome: La maldad de la casa de Israel y de Judá es grande a maravilla; porque la tierra es llena de sangres, y la ciudad es llena de perversidad; porque han dicho: Dejado ha Jehová la tierra, y Jehová no ve.

10 And as for Me also, Mine eye shall not spare, neither will I have pity, but I will bring their way upon their head.'

Y yo también, no perdonará mi ojo, ni tendré misericordia: el camino de ellos tornaré sobre su cabeza.

11 And, behold, the man clothed in linen, who had the inkhorn on his side, reported, saying: 'I have done according to all that Thou hast commanded me.'

Y he aquí que el varón vestido de lienzos, que tenía la escribanía a su cinta, respondió una palabra, diciendo: Hecho he conforme a todo lo que me mandaste.
