Ezekiel 6
1 And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying:
La palabra de Yahvé vino a mí, diciendo:
2 'Son of man, set thy face toward the mountains of Israel, and prophesy against them,
“Hijo de hombre, pon tu rostro hacia los montes de Israel, y profetiza a ellos,
3 and say: Ye mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord GOD: Thus saith the Lord GOD concerning the mountains and concerning the hills, concerning the ravines and concerning the valleys: Behold, I, even I, will bring a sword upon you, and I will destroy your high places.
y di: “¡Montes de Israel, oigan la palabra del Señor Yahvé! El Señor Yahvé dice a los montes y a las colinas, a los cursos de agua y a los valles: “He aquí que yo, yo mismo, traeré una espada sobre ustedes, y destruiré sus lugares altos.
4 And your altars shall become desolate, and your sun-images shall be broken; and I will cast down your slain men before your idols.
Tus altares quedarán desolados, y tus altares de incienso se romperán. Arrojaré a tus hombres muertos ante tus ídolos.
5 And I will lay the carcasses of the children of Israel before their idols; and I will scatter your bones round about your altars.
Pondré los cadáveres de los hijos de Israel ante sus ídolos. Esparciré sus huesos alrededor de sus altares.
6 In all your dwelling-places the cities shall be laid waste, and the high places shall be desolate; that your altars may be laid waste and made desolate, and your idols may be broken and cease, and your sun-images may be hewn down, and your works may be blotted out.
En todas vuestras moradas, las ciudades serán asoladas y los lugares altos quedarán desolados, para que vuestros altares queden asolados y desolados, y vuestros ídolos sean rotos y cesen, y vuestros altares de incienso sean cortados, y vuestras obras sean abolidas.
7 And the slain shall fall in the midst of you, and ye shall know that I am the LORD.
Los muertos caerán en medio de ustedes, y sabrán que yo soy Yahvé.
8 Yet will I leave a remnant, in that ye shall have some that escape the sword among the nations, when ye shall be scattered through the countries.
“‘“Sin embargo, dejaré un remanente, ya que tendréis algunos que escapen de la espada entre las naciones, cuando estéis dispersos por los países.
9 And they that escape of you shall remember Me among the nations whither they shall be carried captives, how that I have been anguished with their straying heart, which hath departed from Me, and with their eyes, which are gone astray after their idols; and they shall loathe themselves in their own sight for the evils which they have committed in all their abominations.
Los que escapen se acordarán de mí entre las naciones donde son llevados cautivos, de cómo he sido quebrantado por su corazón lascivo, que se ha apartado de mí, y por sus ojos, que se prostituyen en pos de sus ídolos. Entonces se aborrecerán ante sus propios ojos por los males que han cometido en todas sus abominaciones.
10 And they shall know that I am the LORD; I have not said in vain that I would do this evil unto them.
Sabrán que yo soy Yahvé. No he dicho en vano que les haría este mal”.
11 Thus saith the Lord GOD: Smite with thy hand, and stamp with thy foot, and say: Alas! because of all the evil abominations of the house of Israel; for they shall fall by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence.
“El Señor Yahvé dice: ‘Golpea con tu mano y pisa con tu pie, y di: “¡Ay!”, a causa de todas las malas abominaciones de la casa de Israel; porque caerán por la espada, por el hambre y por la peste.
12 He that is far off shall die of the pestilence; and he that is near shall fall by the sword; and he that remaineth and is besieged shall die by the famine; thus will I spend My fury upon them.
El que esté lejos morirá de peste. El que esté cerca caerá por la espada. El que permanezca y sea asediado morirá por el hambre. Así cumpliré mi ira sobre ellos.
13 And ye shall know that I am the LORD, when their slain men shall be among their idols round about their altars, upon every high hill, in all the tops of the mountains, and under every leafy tree, and under every thick terebinth, the place where they did offer sweet savour to all their idols.
Sabrás que yo soy Yahvé cuando sus muertos estén entre sus ídolos, alrededor de sus altares, en todo cerro alto, en todas las cimas de los montes, debajo de todo árbol verde y debajo de toda encina espesa: los lugares donde ofrecían aromas agradables a todos sus ídolos.
14 And I will stretch out My hand upon them, and make the land desolate and waste, more than the wilderness of Diblah, throughout all their habitations; and they shall know that I am the LORD.'
Extenderé mi mano sobre ellos y haré que la tierra quede desolada y despoblada, desde el desierto hacia Dibla, en todas sus moradas. Entonces sabrán que yo soy Yahvé”.
