Ezekiel 17
1 And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying:
௧யெகோவாவுடைய வார்த்தை எனக்கு உண்டாகி, அவர்:
2 'Son of man, put forth a riddle, and speak a parable unto the house of Israel,
௨மனிதகுமாரனே, நீ இஸ்ரவேல் மக்களுக்கு ஒரு விடுகதையையும் உவமையையும் கூறி, சொல்லவேண்டியது என்னவென்றால்:
3 and say: Thus saith the Lord GOD: A great eagle with great wings and long pinions, full of feathers, which had divers colours, came unto Lebanon, and took the top of the cedar;
௩யெகோவாகிய ஆண்டவர் சொல்லுகிறார், பெரிய இறக்கைகளையும் நீளமான இறகுகளையும் உடையதும், பலவர்ணமான இறகுகளால் நிறைந்ததுமாகிய ஒரு பெரிய கழுகு லீபனோனில் வந்து, ஒரு கேதுருவின் நுனிக்கிளையைப் பிடித்து,
4 He cropped off the topmost of the young twigs thereof, and carried it into a land of traffic; he set it in a city of merchants.
௪அதின் இளங்கிளையிலுள்ள கொழுந்துகளைக்கொய்து, அதை வர்த்தக தேசத்திற்குக் கொண்டுபோய், அதை வர்த்தகர்களுடைய நகரத்திலே வைத்தது;
5 He took also of the seed of the land, and planted it in a fruitful soil; he placed it beside many waters, he set it as a slip.
௫தேசத்தின் விதையில் ஒன்றை எடுத்து, அதைப் பயிர் நிலத்திலே போட்டு, அதை எடுத்து, மிகுந்த தண்ணீர் ஓரத்திலே பத்திரமாக நட்டது.
6 And it grew, and became a spreading vine of low stature, whose tendrils might turn toward him, and the roots thereof be under him; so it became a vine, and brought forth branches, and shot forth sprigs.
௬அது துளிர்த்து, படர்ந்து, தாழ்ந்த அடிமரமுள்ள திராட்சைச்செடியாயிற்று; அதின் கொடிகள் அந்த கழுகுக்கு நேராகவும், அதின் வேர்கள் அதின் கீழாகவும் இருந்தன; இந்த விதமாக அது திராட்சைச் செடியாகி, கிளைகளை வீசி, கொப்புகளைவிட்டது.
7 There was also another great eagle with great wings and many feathers; and, behold, this vine did bend its roots toward him, and shot forth its branches toward him, from the beds of its plantation, that he might water it.
௭அன்றியும் பெரிய இறக்கைகளையும் திரளான இறகுகளையும் உடைய வேறொரு பெரிய கழுகு இருந்தது; இதோ, அது தன்னுடைய நடவாகிய பாத்திகளிலிருந்து அதற்குத் தண்ணீர் பாய்ச்சும்படி இந்த திராட்சைச்செடி அதற்கு நேராகத் தன்னுடைய வேர்களை விட்டு, அதற்கு நேராகத் தன்னுடைய கொடிகளை வீசினது.
8 It was planted in a good soil by many waters, that it might bring forth branches, and that it might bear fruit, that it might be a stately vine.
௮கிளைகளை விடுகிறதற்கும், பழத்தைத்தருகிறதற்கும், மகிமையான திராட்சைச்செடியாகிறதற்கும், இது மிகுந்த தண்ணீர்களின் ஓரமாகிய நல்ல நிலத்தில் நடப்பட்டிருந்தது.
9 Say thou: Thus saith the Lord GOD: Shall it prosper? shall he not pull up the roots thereof, and cut off the fruit thereof, that it wither, yea, wither in all its sprouting leaves? neither shall great power or much people be at hand when it is plucked up by the roots thereof.
௯இது செழிக்குமா? இது பட்டுப்போகத்தக்கதாக ஒருவன் இதின் வேர்களைப் பிடுங்காமலும், இதின் பழத்தை வெட்டாமலும் இருப்பானோ? துளிர்த்த எல்லா இலைகளோடும் இது பட்டுப்போகும்; இதை வேருடன் பிடுங்கும்படி ஒருவன் பலத்த புயத்தோடும் திரண்ட மக்களோடும் வரத்தேவையில்லை.
10 Yea, behold, being planted, shall it prosper? Shall it not utterly wither, when the east wind toucheth it? In the beds where it grew it shall wither.'
௧0இதோ, நடப்பட்ட இது செழிப்பாக இருக்குமோ? கிழக்குகாற்று இதின்மேல் படும்போது இது வாடி உலர்ந்து போகாதோ? இது நடப்பட்ட பாத்திகளிலே வாடிப்போகும் என்று யெகோவாகிய ஆண்டவர் சொல்லுகிறார் என்று சொல் என்றார்.
11 Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying:
௧௧பின்பு யெகோவாவுடைய வார்த்தை எனக்கு உண்டாகி அவர்:
12 'Say now to the rebellious house: Know ye not what these things mean? tell them: Behold, the king of Babylon came to Jerusalem, and took the king thereof, and the princes thereof, and brought them to him to Babylon;
௧௨இப்போதும் இவைகளின் அர்த்தம் தெரியுமா என்று நீ கலகவீட்டாரைக் கேட்டுச் சொல்லவேண்டியது என்னவென்றால், இதோ, பாபிலோன் ராஜா எருசலேமுக்கு வந்து, அதின் ராஜாவையும் அதின் பிரபுக்களையும் பிடித்து, அவர்களைத் தன்னிடமாகப் பாபிலோனுக்குக் கொண்டுபோகும்போது,
13 and he took of the seed royal, and made a covenant with him, and brought him under an oath, and the mighty of the land he took away;
௧௩அவன் ராஜவம்சத்திலே ஒருவனைத் தெரிந்தெடுத்து, அவனுடன் உடன்படிக்கைசெய்து,
14 that his might be a lowly kingdom, that it might not lift itself up, but that by keeping his covenant it might stand.
௧௪யூத அரசு தன்னை உயர்த்தாமல் தாழ்ந்திருக்கும்படிக்கும், தன்னுடைய உடன்படிக்கையை அவன் கைக்கொள்ளுகிறதினால் அது நிலைநிற்கும்படிக்கும், அவனை ஆணைப்பிரமாணத்திற்கு உட்படுத்தி, தேசத்தில் பலசாலிகளைப் பிடித்துக்கொண்டுபோனானே.
15 But he rebelled against him in sending his ambassadors into Egypt, that they might give him horses and much people. Shall he prosper? shall he escape that doeth such things? shall he break the covenant, and yet escape?
௧௫இவன் அவனுக்கு விரோதமாகக் கலகம்செய்து, தனக்குக் குதிரைகளையும் அநேகம் ஆட்களையும் அனுப்பவேண்டுமென்று தன்னுடைய பிரதிநிதிகளை எகிப்திற்கு அனுப்பினான்; இப்படிப்பட்டவனுக்கு வாய்க்குமோ? இப்படிச் செய்கிறவன் தப்பித்துக்கொள்வானோ? உடன்படிக்கையை முறித்தவன் தப்பித்துக்கொள்வானோ?
16 As I live, saith the Lord GOD, surely in the place where the king dwelleth that made him king, whose oath he despised, and whose covenant he broke, even with him in the midst of Babylon he shall die.
௧௬தன்னை ராஜாவாக ஏற்படுத்திய ராஜாவினுடைய ஆணையை அசட்டைசெய்து, அவனுடைய உடன்படிக்கையை முறித்துப்போட்டவன், அந்த ராஜாவினுடைய இடமாகிய பாபிலோன் நடுவிலே அவனருகில் இருந்து மரணமடைவானென்று என்னுடைய ஜீவனைக்கொண்டு சொல்கிறேன் என்று யெகோவாகிய ஆண்டவர் சொல்லுகிறார்.
17 Neither shall Pharaoh with his mighty army and great company succour him in the war, when they cast up mounds and build forts, to cut off many souls;
௧௭அவன் அநேக மக்களை அழிக்கும்படி அணைபோட்டு, முற்றுகைச் சுவர்களைக் கட்டும்போது, பார்வோன் பெரிய படையுடனும், திரளான கூட்டத்தோடும் வந்து இவனுக்காக போரில்உதவமாட்டான்.
18 seeing he hath despised the oath by breaking the covenant, when, lo, he had given his hand, and hath done all these things, he shall not escape.
௧௮இதோ, இவன் வாக்கு கொடுத்திருந்தும் உடன்படிக்கையை முறித்துப்போட்டு, ஆணையை அசட்டைசெய்தான்; இப்படியெல்லாம் செய்தவன் தப்புவதில்லை.
19 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD: As I live, surely Mine oath that he hath despised, and My covenant that he hath broken, I will even bring it upon his own head.
௧௯அதற்காக யெகோவாகிய ஆண்டவர் சொல்லுகிறது என்னவென்றால்: அவன் என்னுடைய ஆணையை அசட்டைசெய்ததையும், என்னுடைய உடன்படிக்கையை முறித்துப்போட்டதையும், நான் அவனுடைய தலையின்மேல் வரச்செய்வேன் என்று என்னுடைய ஜீவனைக்கொண்டு சொல்லுகிறேன்.
20 And I will spread My net upon him, and he shall be taken in My snare, and I will bring him to Babylon, and will plead with him there for his treachery that he hath committed against Me.
௨0அவன் என்னுடைய கண்ணியில் அகப்படும்படிக்கு, நான் என்னுடைய வலையை அவன்மேல் வீசி, அவனைப் பாபிலோனுக்குக் கொண்டுபோய், அவன் எனக்கு விரோதமாகச்செய்த துரோகத்திற்காக அங்கே அவனை நியாயம் விசாரிப்பேன்.
21 And all his mighty men in all his bands shall fall by the sword, and they that remain shall be scattered toward every wind; and ye shall know that I the LORD have spoken it.
௨௧அவனுடன் ஓடிப்போகிற யாவரும் அவனுடைய எல்லா இராணுவங்களும் வாளால் விழுவார்கள்; மீதியானவர்களோ எல்லா திசைகளிலும் சிதறடிக்கப்படுவார்கள்; அப்பொழுது யெகோவாகிய நான் இதைச் சொன்னேன் என்று அறிந்துகொள்வீர்கள்.
22 Thus saith the Lord GOD: Moreover I will take, even I, of the lofty top of the cedar, and will set it; I will crop off from the topmost of its young twigs a tender one, and I will plant it upon a high mountain and eminent;
௨௨யெகோவாகிய ஆண்டவர் சொல்லுகிறது என்னவென்றால்: நான் உயர்ந்த கேதுருவின் நுனிக்கிளைகளில் ஒன்றை எடுத்து, அதை நடுவேன்; அதின் இளங்கிளையிலுள்ள கொழுந்துகளில் இளசாக இருக்கிற ஒன்றைக்கொய்து, அதை உயரமும் உன்னதமுமான ஒரு மலையின்மேல் நாட்டுவேன்.
23 in the mountain of the height of Israel will I plant it; and it shall bring forth boughs, and bear fruit, and be a stately cedar; and under it shall dwell all fowl of every wing, in the shadow of the branches thereof shall they dwell.
௨௩இஸ்ரவேலின் உயரமான மலையிலே அதை நாட்டுவேன்; அது கிளைகளைவிட்டு, பழம்தந்து, மகிமையான கேதுருவாகும்; அதின் கீழே எல்லாவித பறவைவகைகளும் தங்கி, அதின் கிளைகளின் நிழலிலே தங்கும்.
24 And all the trees of the field shall know that I the LORD have brought down the high tree, have exalted the low tree, have dried up the green tree, and have made the dry tree to flourish; I the LORD have spoken and have done it.'
௨௪அப்படியே யெகோவாகிய நான் உயர்ந்த மரத்தைத் தாழ்த்தி, தாழ்ந்த மரத்தை உயர்த்தினேன் என்றும், நான் பச்சையான மரத்தை பட்டுப்போகச்செய்து, பட்டுப்போன மரத்தைத் தழைக்கச்செய்தேன் என்றும் விளைச்சலின் மரங்களுக்கு எல்லாம் தெரியவரும்; யெகோவாகிய நான் இதைச் சொன்னேன், இதை நிறைவேற்றினேன் என்று சொன்னார் என்று சொல் என்றார்.
